In MIMO system, the inter-antenna interference and intra-cell interference are usually mitigated by local processing of own base station, however, inter-cell interference (ICI) is hard to be reduced effectively by the works of single cell. This paper proposes a multi-cell and multi-user detection algorithm to combat the ICI in uplink. The proposed algorithm can be implemented with the helps of multiuser detector and backhaul, as the former one is used to detect different signals from different cells and the latter one is used for sharing data information between neighboring cells. Simulation results show that the performances of proposed algorithm have great improvements in comparison to single-cell single-user detection, and have desirable gains comparing with single-cell multi-user detection.

In this study, approximate symbol probability of error (i.e., symbol error rate) formulas are derived for both of the M-ary phase shift keying and M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation constellations schemes. These formulas are obtained over slow, flat, and independent and identically distributed Nakagami-m fading channels, where the orthogonal space-time block codes is utilized. This approach reduces the complexity and instability of using integrals or hyper-geometric infinite series forms to evaluate exact symbol error rate formulas. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the new results.

Static Synchronous series compensator (SSSC) is a facts device that can compensate the reactive power of the line and improve the power oscillation damping The excitation control is a conventional and significant control for the power system stability This paper presents a new coordinated control scheme between SSSC and the excitation system of generator. First, three-order nonlinear model of generator and SSSC are established respectively. Then the direct feedback linearization method is used to make the nonlinear model linearized. Finally, the paper applies the optimal control theory to design the coordination controller. The proposed coordination controller shows good performance in damping out power oscillation and has a stronger robustness The MATLAB simulation results verify the validity of the offered coordinated control scheme.

As a powerful way of realizing semi-supervised segmentation, the cross supervision method learns cross consistency based on independent ensemble models using abundant unlabeled images. In this work, we propose a novel cross supervision method, namely uncertainty-guided self cross supervision (USCS). To avoid multiplying the cost of computation resources caused by ensemble models, we first design a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) segmentation model which can generate multiple outputs with the shared model. The self cross supervision is imposed over the results from one MIMO model, heavily saving the cost of parameters and calculations. On the other hand, to further alleviate the large noise in pseudo labels caused by insufficient representation ability of the MIMO model, we employ uncertainty as guided information to encourage the model to focus on the high confident regions of pseudo labels and mitigate the effects of wrong pseudo labeling in self cross supervision, improving the performance of the segmentation model. Extensive experiments show that our method achieves state-of-the-art performance while saving 40.5% and 49.1% cost on parameters and calculations.

In this paper the application of robust Fractional Order Proportional-Integral (FO-PI) autotuning control strategy is presented and applied to heterogeneous dynamic systems using decentralized control. The automatic tuning of controller gains is based on a single sine test, with user defined robustness margins guaranteed. Its performance is compared against two other fractional order controllers based on PI gain-crossover autotuning method and Internal Model Control (IMC). The closed loop control simulations applied on the heterogeneous dynamic systems indicate that the proposed method performs properly. Spatial modulation (SM) is a class of novel multi-input multi-output (MIMO) techniques for wireless communications. In SM-MIMO, only part of the transmit antennas are active for transmission, which avoids the interference among multiple antennas and simplifies the structure of MIMO transceiver. In this paper, we summarize the recent researches related to SM-MIMO, to demonstrate the flexibility and effectiveness of the new technique. Furthermore, we show some potential applications of SM-MIMO in future 5G wireless communications.

This paper presents an extension of a diffusion model-based single microphone Speech Enhancement (SE) method, known as the Score-Based Generative Model for SE (SGMSE), to a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) SE. The extended method is called a multi-stream SGMSE (mSGMSE). MIMO SE's goal is to estimate multimicrophone clean speech signals with spatial cues from noisy, reverberant speech signals captured by a distant microphone array. mSGMSE models the conditional distribution of clean speech signals given the captured signals for multi-microphone signals using a diffusion model and generates clean speech estimates by using the reverse diffusion process. We also propose techniques to make mSGMSE computationally efficient and adaptable to various or unknown array geometries for general MIMO SE scenarios. Experiments show that mSGMSE outperforms SGMSE (when separately applied to each microphone signal) in terms of signal quality, spatial cues, and computation times. mSGMSE also significantly improves the automatic speech recognition performance when applied to the REVERB challenge real dataset, which has substantial mismatches including array geometries from the training dataset. Finally, we confirm that Weighted Prediction Error dereverberation (WPE) pre-processing can further enhance mSGMSE more than SGMSE.

Visible light communication (VLC) has been regarded as a promising solution in short-range intelligent communication system. Nowadays, the research is focused on integrating the multi-input multi-output (MIMO) technique in the VLC system, to achieve a larger transmission capacity and stronger transmission reliability. However, one important issue should be addressed due to the use of MIMO technology: the multipath inter-symbol interference. The multipath inter-symbol interference comes from the reflection of the signal in the room and channel crosstalk between different channels. In this paper, we propose a novel optical system used in the MIMO VLC system to reduce multipath interference dramatically. Signals from different LEDs can be separated by using parabolic lens plated with reflecting film. This structure can reduce the reflection effect effectively as well. We present the simulation results to observe the distribution of optical power on the imaging plane for various receiving positions and low correlation between all channels. We can find that the optical power density becomes stronger than non-imaging system and the interference is sharply decreased, thus the SNR and BER are also optimized. Analysis about the optical system is given in this paper.

To achieve the integration of radar and communication in waveform, we design an integrated system combining multi-input multi-output (MIMO) radar with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) communication. In the system, each antenna transmits integrated waveform with different sub-frequency bands. The integrated waveform is a variation of traditional OFDM communication waveform. To completely utilize the array aperture and the entire signal bandwidth, a range and angle estimation method is proposed. First, the high resolution angle estimation is performed, and then the range estimation with high resolution is obtained. Theoretical analysis validates that the devised system can attain the radar and communication function simultaneously, and the proposed method has low computational complexity. Numerical results are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Just like orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, the large peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) as one of the main shortcomings still exists in multi-input multi-output (MIMO) OFDM systems. Interleaving scheme is one of the attractive technologies for PAPR reduction and it can be directly used for each transmit antenna in MIMO-OFDM systems, called as ordinary interleaving scheme. In this paper, an improved interleaving scheme for PAPR reduction in MIMO-OFDM systems is proposed. Different from ordinary interleaving scheme, which transmit antenna is selected to perform the interleaving in proposed interleaving scheme is dominated by PAPR values of OFDM candidate sequences. Namely, the proposed interleaving scheme reorders the sequence from the antenna with the highest PAPR in the successive step after the PAPR of the original OFDM sequences are calculated. As a result, the proposed interleaving scheme can obtain better PAPR reduction performance compared with ordinary interleaving scheme.
