The rear multi-stage cylinder direct-acting hydraulic body hoist mechanism is widely used in mining dump truck. The working principle of the body hoist mechanism is introduced. The dumping process is simplified through the introduction of "dumping line" and the variation of ore mass and hoist torque are analyzed. The optimization design of the position of body hoist mechanism is done using Maple software on the basis of direct search method aimed at minimizing the initial hoist force and the stroke of cylinder and maximizing the hoist force arm when the second stage cylinder starts to stretch out.

In order to improve the motor torque as much as possible and reduce the motor torque ripple, the multi-objective optimization of the motor is carried out to achieve the best results. Because the traditional genetic algorithm is easy to cause local convergence, poor population diversity and slow convergence rate in the later period, this paper adopts genetic algorithm and simulated annealing (GSA) algorithm to optimize a 130KW high power density motor, which is a hairpin motor with built-in V-shaped rotor structure and parallel slot stator structure. In this paper, the stator and rotor structural parameters are taken as optimization variables, and the sensitivity of each variable to the output torque and torque ripple of the motor is analyzed. The Pareto plane is built and the optimization motor parameters are verified by simulation. The structure shows that the torque of the motor is increased by about 7% and the torque ripple is reduced to 54.4%.

This article focuses on the cable driven parallel robot for aircraft spraying. Based on a multi-objective optimization model, the performance of the cable driven parallel robot (CDPR) is optimized using Prairie Dogs optimization algorithm. Firstly, a static model of 8-cable 6-degree- of-freedom CDPR suitable for aircraft spraying was established, and corresponding evaluation indicators were designed for four performance indicators: workspace, average stiffness, stiffness fluctuation, and flexibility. Establish a multi- objective optimization model by processing performance indicators and solve it using the Prairie Dogs optimization algorithm. The final results indicate that the groundhog optimization algorithm based on multi-objective optimization design has a good effect on the performance optimization of CDPR, providing important reference for the design and optimization of aircraft spraying robots. This study has important theoretical and practical significance in the field of aircraft spraying robots, providing new ideas and methods for optimizing robot performance, and has certain guiding significance for engineering practice.

Aiming to reduce the volume of helical gear and the heat generated by the friction of meshing place, the multi-objective optimization design model of helical cylindrical gear transmission is established. The calculator is integrated in ISIGHT integration platform, then to solve the mathematical model. The optimization result shows that the volume of helical gear and the friction power loss of meshing place are reduced, the purpose is achieved which will reduce the production costs and prolong its working life.

To improve the driving performance of the motor, increase the average thrust while reducing thrust ripple, a 9-slot 8-pole tubular permanent magnet linear motor is used as the research object to optimize the design parameters. Firstly, several key parameters affecting the average thrust and thrust ripple of the motor were analyzed, and four significance parameters were selected from six main design parameters by combining Taguchi's orthogonal experimental design and sensitivity analysis. The Box-Behnken experimental design was established to obtain the finite element analysis test scheme of four factors and three levels. Then, according to the response surface method, the fitting model between the optimized target response and the significant variables was established, and the fitting accuracy was evaluated. Finally, multi-objective optimization based on this model. The finite element analysis results indicate that the multi-objective optimization design of the tubular permanent magnet linear motor based on the Taguchi method increases the average thrust after optimization, and the thrust ripple is greatly reduced.

Enhancing the charging rate capability is beneficial for the driving convenience of electric vehicles. However, high current rate charging causes inevitable severe heat generation, thermal inconsistency, and even thermal runaway. This study proposes a parallel liquid cooling system for a prismatic battery module to achieve the shortest charging interval and thermal safety under fast charging. Furthermore, a surrogate model with the objectives of the thermal performance and energy cost is constructed, the impact of some influential design parameters is explored through sensitivity analysis and response surface analysis. Moreover, a multi-objective optimization design is conducted for the optimal design selection. Finally, the optimal design is validated by experiments under 2.5C fast charging. Results demonstrate that mini-channel depth is the most influential design parameter on the cooling effect (70.8%), the temperature distribution uniformity (75.7%), and the energy cost (86.1%). Volume energy density, maximum temperature (T-max), temperature standard deviation (TSD), and the energy cost (W) of the system are enhanced by 9.0%, 2.1%, 23.7% and 26.9%, respectively. Experimental validation proves that T-max, TSD, and W of the battery module can be maintained within 33.1 degrees C, 0.9 degrees C, and 17.29 J, respectively. This study guides for the battery thermal management system design with enhanced efficiency and energy cost, especially during harsh operations.

The double-stator permanent-magnet doubly salient (DS-PMDS) machine is an interesting candidate motor for electric vehicle (EV) applications because of its high torque output and flexible working modes. Due to the complexity of the motor structure, optimization of the DS-PMDS for EVs requires more research efforts to meet multiple specifications. Effective multi-objective optimization to increase torque output, reduce torque ripple, and improve PM material utilization and motor efficiency is implemented in this paper. In the design process, a multi-objective comprehensive function is established. By using parametric sensitivity analysis (PSA) and the sequential quadratic programming (NLPQL) method, the influence extent of each size parameter for different performance is effectively evaluated and optimal results are determined. By adopting the finite element method (FEM), the electromagnetic performances of the optimal DS-PMDS motor is investigated. Moreover, a multi-physical field analysis is included to describe stress, deformation of the rotor, and temperature distribution of the proposed motor. The theoretical analysis verified the rationality of the motor investigated and the effectiveness of the proposed optimization method.

High current rate charging causes inevitable severe heat generation, thermal inconsistency, and even thermal runaway of lithium-ion batteries. Concerning this, a liquid cooling plate comprising a multi-stage Tesla valve (MSTV) configuration with high recognition in microfluidic applications was proposed to provide a safer temperature range for a prismatic-type lithium-ion battery. Meanwhile, a surrogate model with the objectives of the cooling performance and energy cost was constructed, and the impact of some influential design parameters was explored through the robustness analysis of the model. On this basis, the multi-objective optimization design of the neighborhood cultivation genetic algorithm (NCGA) was carried out. The obtained results demonstrated that if the MSTV channel was four channels, the valve-to-valve distance was 14.79 mm, and the thickness was 0.94 mm, the cold plate had the most effective cooling performance and a lower pumping power consumption. Finally, the optimization results were verified by a numerical simulation and an experiment, and the performance evaluation was compared with the traditional serpentine channel. The results reported that the optimized design reduced the maximum temperature and standard surface standard deviation of the cold plate by 26% and 35%, respectively. The additional pump power consumption was 17.3%. This research guides the design of battery thermal management systems to improve efficiency and energy costs, especially under the high current rate charging conditions of lithium-ion batteries.

Fractional-slot concentrated-winding (FSCW) permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs) have several advantages when compared to other conventional topologies. design of these motors often rely on the designer's experience, or numerical methods which are time inefficient. This makes them unsuitable for multi-objective optimization design procedure in which a huge design space is adopted, and which have been shown to be effective in finding optimum machine designs. This work introduces a generic multi-objective optimization design framework for a surface mounted (SM) FSCW-PMSM based on a general analytical model that considers various machine aspects such as its geometry, winding configuration, losses, iron temporal flux density levels and drive control. The design procedure is demonstrated to design a surface-mounted (SM) FSCW-PMSM motor with a wide constant power speed range of 5:1. Validation is carried out using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) with good agreement in results.

Fully Ceramic Microencapsulated (FCM) fuel is a new type of material in nuclear energy field. It has become a promising accident tolerant fuel (ATF) candidate due to its advantages of high radiation stability, high fission product containment capacity and excellent thermo-mechanical performance. During operation, the temperature, stress, deformation and other key parameters will change significantly, which directly affect the safety of nuclear reactor. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out a multi-physics fully-coupled analysis suitable for the multi-scale, multi-component, multi-phase and nonlinear coupling processes in the reactor, so as to sort out the influences of material properties, radiation behavior, thermo-mechanical performance from numerous influencing factors. In this paper, based on the irradiation-thermo-mechanical coupling method, the performance of TRISO-based FCM fuel under irradiation conditions was analyzed, key thermo-mechanical parameters and other influencing factors of the fuel were obtained, failure behavior of the fuel element was evaluated. On this basis, the theoretical and numerical model of multi-objective optimization method were established, the optimum parameters including material properties, fuel geometry and particle arrangement were found by optimization method. The optimization results showed that the multi-objective optimization results could provide multiple Pareto optimal solutions for the FCM fuel. Specifically, when the TRISO particle spacing is 200 mu m and 150 mu m, the objective function difference between the optimal heat transfer solutions is only about 1.7%, meanwhile the mechanical properties vary significantly (the difference between the objective functions of the optimal solutions is about 12.4% similar to 26.5%), indicating the response of stress is more sensitive than temperature.
