In this paper we extend Reiland's results for a nonlinear (single objective) optimization problem involving nonsmooth Lipschitz functions to a nonlinear multiobjective optimization problem (MP) for rho - (eta, theta)-invex functions. The generalized form of the Kuhn-Tucker optimality theorem and the duality results are established for (MP).

One of the challenges of energy regulatory-agencies is to guide the agents decision-making process towards maximization of the overall welfare of the electricity sector. However, this is not a simple task since it requires meeting expectations of many stakeholders, from investors to consumers. This paper proposes an optimization methodology aimed at helping define the optimal combination of wind farm layout and type of equipment deployed, so that the electricity sector overall welfare is maximized in the process. The optimization objectives are (i) the energy density and (ii) the Net Present Value (NPV), and the parameters are (a) the power levels and (b) the selling price of the energy. The objective functions are modelled with the aid of a design-of-experiment technique known as Response Surface Methodology, relying on the multi-objective programming method of Normal Boundary Intersection for the optimization. The methodology is applied to four different scenarios arising from the combination of two different locations (Santa Vitoria do Palmar-RS and Macau-RN, both in Brazil), and two different wind turbine manufacturers (A and B). The final step comprises the application of the Data Envelopment Analysis technique in order to sort one from the set of optimal solutions identified by the four different scenarios. The results show that the proposed methodology is capable of supporting bidding processes and wind farms certification programs, in line with what should be expected by regulatory agencies, investors and electricity consumers alike. The deployment of the methodology proved discriminant and allowed selection of one final scenario (Macau-RN, brand A equipment) as overall optimal. It was also observed that equipment efficiency is dependent on siting location. (C) 2020 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

In this paper we present a new approach, based on the Nearest Interval Approximation Operator, for dealing with a multiobjective programming problem with fuzzy-valued objective functions. By the way we have established a Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (K.K.T) kind of Pareto optimality conditions, for the resulting interval multiobjective program. To this end, we made use of gH-differentiability of involved interval-valued functions. Two algorithms play a pivotal role in the proposed method. The first one returns a nearest interval approximation to a given fuzzy number. The other one makes use of K.K.T conditions to deliver a Pareto optimal solution of the above mentioned resulting interval program. (c) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

In this paper, a multiobjective scheme is used to study the satisfaction levels of Spanish workers. Data obtained from the European Community Household Panel (ECHP) are used to build a multiobjective model on the basis of a previous statistical and econometric analysis of these data. Then, a Reference Point-based method is implemented to determine the profile of the most satisfied worker in Spain nowadays. Finally, a combined Goal programming - Reference Point approach is used to determine policies which can be carried out in order to increase workers' satisfaction levels. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. This paper is concerned with the optimality for multi-objective programming problems with nonsmooth and nonconvex (but directionally differentiable) objective and constraint functions. The main results are Kuhn-Tucker type necessary conditions for properly efficient solutions and weakly efficient solutions. Our proper efficiency is a natural extension of the Kuhn-Tucker one to the nonsmooth case. Some sufficient conditions for an efficient solution to be proper are also given. As an application, we derive optimality conditions for multi-objective programming problems including extremal-value functions.

In this paper we study second-order optimality conditions for the multi-objective programming problems with both inequality constraints and equality constraints. Two weak second-order constraint qualifications are introduced, and based on them we derive several second-order necessary conditions for a local weakly efficient solution. Two second-order sufficient conditions are also presented.

The conflict among environmental and economic goals is a constant problem that always bothers the decision makers in regional planning. Besides, the uncertainties regarding the fuzzy goals in decision making and the impreciseness of parameter values in a system always create additional difficulties in management planning and analysis. This paper develops a new approach, a grey fuzzy multiobjective linear programming (GFMOLP) method, for the evaluation of sustainable management strategies for systems analysis. In particular, it demonstrates how uncertain messages of the planning objectives can be quantified by specific membership functions and combined through the use of grey numbers in a multiobjective analytical framework. It is verified that such an approach can successfully reflect system complexity and generate more flexible and robust management policies. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd

In this paper, we introduce new classes of vector functions which generalize the class of scalar invex functions. We prove that these new classes of vector functions are characterized in such a way that every vector critical point is an efficient solution of a multiobjective programming Problem. We establish relationships between these new classes of functions and others used in the study of efficient and weakly efficient solutions. (C) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
