mysql cluster is a widely used clustered database used to store and manipulate data which has a shared-nothing clustering for the mysql database management system providing high availability and high throughput with low latency. The problem with mysql cluster is that as the data grows larger, the time required to process the data increases and additional resources may be needed. With Hadoop and Impala, data processing time can be faster than mysql cluster and probably faster than Hive and Pig. This paper provides preliminary results. Evaluation results indicates that Impala achieves acceptable perfomance for some data analysis and processing tasks even compared with Hive and Pig and mysql cluster.

The massive growth of data amount puts forward new requirements for database. The construction of stable and strong web application system is based on the realization of easy expansion, high performance, high availability, flexible development and quick reuse of convenient data storage system. In this paper, according to the actual situation of our eID service management system, we proposed a data storage system based on mysql cluster in order to implement data storage under large-scale data of the eID service management system.

In recent years. with the rapid progress of information, and environment protection awareness is growing strongly now, people began to go for their living environment around carbon reduction, which is the most popular energy-saving. Starting from energy-saving and carbon reduction, with in information equipment and information technologies, many peoples will use applications for home and family to catch the wave of the Smart Home. Therefore, this thesis will play as electricity providers, which the devices they are actively developing which digital meter and its management system as the goal, and then to develop an energy management systems by using service-oriented architecture (SOA). The paper applies service-oriented architecture (SOA) approach to construct services and utilize commonly virtualization technologies on cloud infrastructure (laaS). This work also applies distributed storage technologies to stored and distributed databases. to make sure the system can hold a lot of demand for services.

Data reliability and availability becomes a need growing every day. Today, a database system can serve more than one purposes. Depending on the context, Total Cost of Ownership or High Availability or both can be the requested specification for a database system implementation. This paper presents an Open Source, high availability and redundancy Database platform, which is used for storing raw geo-environmental data for further processing. The system is maintained by the Department of Electronics Engineering of the Technological Educational Institution of Athens, to support research activity in the context of INTERREG III B ARCHIMED framework. The main challenges for this platform were to create it based on commodity hardware, make it open but secure, redundant, capable to adapt to load peaks and eventually reduce the Total Cost Of Ownership and Operation in minimum levels in order to reserve funds from the budget for other purposes. In this paper we present the architecture and the topology, the principles of operation and indicative results of performance measurements.
