Integrating an openEHR-based personalized virtual model for the ageing population within HBase

Background: Frailty is a common clinical syndrome in ageing population that carries an increased risk for adverse health outcomes including falls, hospitalization, disability, and mortality. As these outcomes affect the health and social care planning, during the last years there is a tendency of investing in monitoring and preventing strategies. Although a number of electronic health record (EHR) systems have been developed, including personalized virtual patient models, there are limited ageing population oriented systems. Methods: We exploit the openEHR framework for the representation of frailty in ageing population in order to attain semantic interoperability, and we present the methodology for adoption or development of archetypes. We also propose a framework for a one-to-one mapping between openEHR archetypes and a column-family nosql database (HBase) aiming at the integration of existing and newly developed archetypes into it. Results: The requirement analysis of our study resulted in the definition of 22 coherent and clinically meaningful parameters for the description of frailty in older adults. The implemented openEHR methodology led to the direct use of 22 archetypes, the modification and reuse of two archetypes, and the development of 28 new archetypes. Additionally, the mapping procedure led to two different HBase tables for the storage of the data. Conclusions: In this work, an openEHR-based virtual patient model has been designed and integrated into an HBase storage system, exploiting the advantages of the underlying technologies. This framework can serve as a base for the development of a decision support system using the openEHR's Guideline Definition Language in the future.

Based on multimedia learning theory, interactive audio technology and resource design theory and vocabulary teaching related theory, relying on the interactive teaching environment, this paper finally completed the English online vocabulary teaching system. Among them, nosql database is the key to solve the problem of English Online Dictionary execution, which has high availability and is highly concerned by people. However, the research of nosql database mainly focuses on the development of high availability storage model, and lacks attention to other aspects. On the other hand, with the nosql database becoming more and more comprehensive, it is very important to protect the user's privacy by studying the secure and encrypted nosql database storage. Through the research of interactive audio technology and English online vocabulary teaching system, and its application in nosql database, this paper aims to promote its development and application.

FRIskill is a knowledge base management system designated for competence management in companies, universities and various other institutions and it allows to search employees by any key competencies or lime availability. It is part of a project which is focused on HR and line managers and whose aim is to create possibilities for surveying, evaluating and planning organization competencies so that risks arc reduced and efficiency during project acquisition and realization is enhanced. In this paper, the results of the project which have been achieved since 2016 are presented, especially individual parts and a demo version of our developed application. Competencies concept is investigated, the whole FRIskill system and its requirements are analyzed and its architecture is described, including trends in technologies. Displaying a tree of competences and a sophisticated search of employees are considered the most significant features of the FRIskill system. It may be said that FRIskill is able to simplify project planning in universities and other institutions.

In the era of Big Data, social media analysis has grown extremely popular. Twitter, one of the most popular social media, is believed to contain many user opinion in its message. Thus, leading organizations start utilizing its data using social media analytic tools to get in-sight of their markets in real-time. However, many Twitter analytic tools are still specified only in some specific tasks. Therefore, in order to enhance the possibility of doing many analysis on Twitter, a data warehouse technology can be utilized to receive, process, and store a real-time Twitter streams. Nonetheless, data warehouse development using relational database start to show its limit on storing big data let alone real-time. Hence, nosql (Not Only SQL) technology has emerged as an alternative solution. In this paper, we try to develop near real-time Twitter data warehouse using nosql database, Cassandra, and compare its storing and querying performance with that developed using relational databases. The results show that Cassandra performs significantly better in storing data than the relational databases. Meanwhile, in its querying performance, Cassandra is slower while using small data but way faster on vast data.

In the article, the conceptual model of tourists' guide system is created. Proposed model is based on clustering of tourists' object by user request, finding the fastest way to the chosen objects taking into account switching of traffic lights. The MongoDB is chosen for database creation. Information about interested tourists place is taken using Goggle API. The modified grid clustering method is used for location of suitable district. After that, the shooters path to chosen object is proposed. For this purpose, the Dijkstra's algorithm is modified using addition weight of nodes in the graph. The obtained results of the Dijkstra's algorithm and the developed method show that the proposed method allows to work with a two-weighted graph and look for routes in the city, taking into account the duration of switching traffic lights. Although the route in two algorithms turned out to be the same, the marks are quite different.

The SACHER project provides a distributed, open source and federated cloud platform able to support the life-cycle management of various kinds of data concerning tangible Cultural Heritage. The paper describes the SACHER platform and, in particular, among the various integrated service prototypes, the most important ones to support restoration processes and cultural asset management: (i) 3D Life Cycle Management for Cultural Heritage (SACHER 3D CH), based on 3D digital models of architecture and dedicated to the management of Cultural Heritage and to the storage of the numerous data generated by the team of professionals involved in the restoration process;(ii) Multidimensional Search Engine for Cultural Heritage (SACHER MuSE CH), an advanced multi-level search system designed to manage Heritage data from heterogeneous sources.

In the domain of efficient management of resources and ensuring nutritional consistency, accuracy in predicting crop yields becomes crucial. The advancement of artificial intelligence techniques, synchronized with satellite imagery, has emerged as a potent approach for forecasting crop yields in modern times. We used two types of data: spatial data and temporal data. Spatial data are gathered from satellite imagery and processed using ArcGIS to extract data about crops based on several indices like NDVI and NWDI. Temporal data are gathered from agricultural sensors such as temperature sensors, rainfall sensor, precipitation sensor and soil moisture sensor. In our case we used Sentinel 2 satellite to extract vegetation indices. We have used IoT systems, especially Raspberry Pi B+ to collect and process data coming from sensors. All data collected are then stored into a nosql server to be analysed and processed. Several machine learning and deep learning algorithms have been used for the processing of crop recommendation system, such as logistic regression, KNN, decision tree, support vector machine, LSTM, and Bi-LSTM through the collected dataset. We used GRU deep learning model for the best performance, the RMSE and R2 for this model was 0.00036 and 0.99 respectively. The main contribution of our paper is the development of a new system that can predict several crop yields, such as wheat, maize, etc., using IoT, satellite imagery for spatial data and the use of sensors for temporal data. We are the first paper that has combined spatial data and temporal data to predict crop yield based on deep learning algorithms, unlike other works that uses only remote sensing data or temporal data. We created an E-monitoring crop yield prediction system that helps farmers track all information about crops and show the result of prediction in a mobile application. With the further research of big data management, plenty of components for big data management have been developed. Based on Hadoop platform, these components provide solutions for big data management from different levels. The Hadoop ecosystem has gradually taken its shape. However, users usually lack the knowledge about the features of these components, such as the I/O pattern, capability, application scenes and so on. When dealing with some big data problems, these components are often chosen by user's experience and this will definitely lead to mismatch between the demands and the management tools. Thus, the platform cannot play out its optimal performance. Focus on this issue, this paper tested and evaluated several widely used mainstream big data management tools in Hadoop ecosystem from three levels: distributed file system, nosql database and SQL-like component. After the brief introduction to the typical management tools, comprehensive comparisons of these tools of the same level are carried out. The advantages and disadvantages are discussed and their performance are also tested and analyzed.

Today we are inundated with digital data. Yet we are very poor in managing and processing it. It is becoming increasingly difficult to store and analyze data efficiently and economically via conventional database management tools. Not only that, type of data, appearing in the databases, are also changing. Now a day, binary large objects are a standard integral part of any database. Researchers, all over the globe, are baffling with analysis of these ultra large databases. Apache HBase is one such attempt. HBase is a nosql distributed database developed on top of Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS). In this paper, we present an evaluation of hybrid architecture where HDFS contains the non-textual data like images and location of such data is stored in HBase. This hybrid architecture enables faster search and retrieval of the data which is a growing need in any organization who are flooded with data. The paper aims at evaluating the performance of random reads and random writes of data storage location information to HBase and retrieving and storing data in HDFS respectively. We also present a comparative study of HBase-HDFS architecture with MySQL-HDFS architecture.
