Observer-based event-triggered security control for nonlinear networked control systems with cyber attacks

This paper investigates the observer-based security control problem for interval type-2 nonlinear networked control systems with deception attacks and replay attacks. Firstly, to alleviate the communication burden of the network, a novel adaptive event-triggered communication (ETC) mechanism is proposed. Compared with existing observer-based adaptive ETC security control techniques, the threshold of the proposed adaptive ETC scheme can be adjusted dynamically depending on the value of adjustable parameters and estimation error. In particular, the adjustable parameters can change the sensitivity of the threshold flexibly. Then, taking the influence of the adaptive ETC mechanism and cyber attacks into consideration, an observer-based security controller is developed under the co-designed method. Furthermore, by utilizing the Lyapunov stability theory, sufficient conditions for asymptotically mean-square stable of the closed-loop system are obtained. Ultimately, the feasibility of the designed control approach can be proved via a simulation example.

In this paper, the hybrid-triggered control (HTC) problem for nonlinear networked control systems with external disturbance is investigated by employing Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model. First of all, the observers are constructed to estimate system state and disturbance, respectively. With the help of disturbance estimation and attenuation (DEA) technique, the influence of external disturbance is attenuated effectively. Next, the HTC strategy is proposed to save the limited network resource while maintaining the desirable system performance. Then sufficient condition is proposed to ensure the exponential stability of the resultant closed-loop system, and the observer-based fuzzy controller is designed by solving an optimization problem. Finally, the effectiveness of the developed method is verified by a practical example.

This paper considers the problem of observer-based dynamic event-triggered secure control for nonlinear networked control systems (NCSs) under false data injection attacks (FDIA). A novel output feedback controller is developed by utilizing a sampled-data observer to relieve the impacts of unmeasured states and FDIA. To make full use of the limited network resources, a dynamic periodic event-triggered mechanism (PETM) with an auxiliary variable is designed, which can reduce the transmission of information. Then, an approximation of injected false data is implemented based on an adaptive neural network (NN) in the presence of FDIA. Based on the proposed control strategy, the boundness of the nonlinear NCSs can be ensured by selecting some proper parameters. Finally, the effectiveness and validity of the proposed control strategy are illustrated via simulation of a single link robot arm system.

networked control system (NCS) is a multidisciplinary area that attracts increasing attention today. In this paper, we deal with remote supervision of a nonlinear networked control systems class subject to network imperfections. Different from many existing researches that consider only the problem of small and/or constant communication delays, we focus on large and time-varying network delays problem in both measurement and control channels. The proposed method is a set-membership estimation-based predictor approach computing a guaranteed set of admissible state values when the uncertainties (i.e. measurement noises and system disturbances) are considered unknown but bounded with a priori known bounds. The state prediction strategy is used to compensate the effect of transmission delays. Finally, the theoretical results are validated through a numerical example.

In this paper, the fault-tolerant control problem of actuator failures for nonlinear networked control systems under deception attacks and denial-of-service attacks is investigated based on a dynamic event-triggered mechanism. Firstly, denial-of-service attacks and deception attacks are modeled as two independent variables that conform to the Bernoulli probability distribution, and the fault-tolerant control problem of nonlinear networked control systems is considered under the possible actuator failures. Then, an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is constructed, and sufficient conditions for ensuring asymptotic stability of the closed-loop systems are obtained using Jensen inequality. Meanwhile, the designed fault-tolerant controller can handle possible actuator failures. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is proved through an example.

This work considers the design of nonfragile H,,, observer -based controller for nonlinear networked control systems (NCSs) subject to multipath packet dropouts. The nonlinear NCSs are modeled through the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model. The occurrences of packet dropouts in the measurable output and the control input indicate the multipath packet dropouts. Two random sequences which are mutually independent and obey the Bernoulli distribution are adopted to represent the multipath packet dropouts. Unlike most existing works about the observer -based controller design, a novel observer design scheme is developed in this paper for the T-S fuzzy NCSs with packet dropouts, which does not require the observer to be designed to share the same local system parameters "Al"as the fuzzy plant. Then, by means of the Lyapunov function approach, sufficient conditions are developed to make certain that the controlled T-S fuzzy NCSs are stochastically stable with a H,,, performance index. Through adopting a twostep design method, the search for the local system parameters and gains of the observer and the controller gains is formulated as a feasibility problem of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Eventually, the effectiveness of the derived results is verified by an example.

Event-triggered H_∞ filtering for nonlinear networked control systems via T-S fuzzy model approach

This paper tackles the event-triggering filtering problem for a class of nonlinear networked control systems subject to the prescribed disturbance attenuation level. To alleviate the data transmission burden of communication channels, an event-triggering mechanism is adopted, where the data can be transmitted only if certain condition is fulfilled. The T-S fuzzy model approach is utilized to approximate the nonlinear dynamics. It is the purpose of this paper to design a filter for the addressed nonlinear system ensuring that the filtering error system is asymptotically stable whereas the prespecified H-infinity criterion is guaranteed. By using Lyapunov approach in combination with matrix analysis method, the sufficient conditions are established for the existence of desired filtering parameters in terms of the solvability of certain linear matrix inequalities. Finally, a numerical simulation example is put forward to demonstrate the validity and effectiveness of the developed theoretical results. (C) 2021 Published by Elsevier B.V.

A fault detection filter is designed for a class of nonlinear networked control systems with sensor saturation, random packet loss and delay, a unified model is constructed to describe the transmission delay caused by packet loss and network induction. By constructing Lyapunov function and using the convex optimization algorithm, a parameter matrix of the fault detection filter is obtained by solving a series of linear matrix inequalities, which guarantees that the error system satisfies a concerned performance index. Finally, the validity of the proposed method is illustrated by a numerical example on the internet-based three-tank system.

An H∞ Output Tracking control Approach to Sampled-Data control for nonlinear networked control systems

In this article, we study the problem of H-infinity output tracking control and analyze the stability of nonlinear networked control systems with dynamic quantization, variable sampling intervals and communication delays. To improve the bandwidth utilization, an event-triggered mechanism is introduced in network control systems. Different from traditional periodic sampling control, the event trigger control adopted in this study is only controlled when the current sampling signal meets the triggering conditions, which can effectively reduce resource waste in network control systems by ensuring system control performance. By adopting input-delay and parallel distributed compensation (PDC) techniques, we establish an augment tracking model based on the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model, in which the sampling interval of the sampler and the signal transmission delay are transformed into the refreshing interval of a zero-order holder (ZOH). Furthermore, we use the applicable lyapunov-krasovski-based approach to derive conditions expressed in linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), helping the problem to be accurately solved using the LMI toolbox in Matlab. Examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of our results, especially the good tracking effect of the designed fuzzy controller.

Dynamic output feedback control for nonlinear networked control systems with a two-terminal event-triggered mechanism

This paper is mainly concerned with the stabilization problem for nonlinear networked control systems (NCSs) with a two-terminal event-triggered mechanism. Firstly, Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy models are introduced as the presentation of the nonlinear object. A two-terminal event-triggered mechanism, which adopts the relative event-triggered conditions as the communication mode of data transmission, is distributed in the controller-to-actuator link besides sensor-to-controller link in order to reduce congestion on network servers. By taking different membership function information from the T-S fuzzy model into account, the dynamic output feedback controller is designed under imperfect premise matching to construct closed-loop model. Secondly, to ensure the asymptotic stability of NCSs, valuable theorems are derived by defining Lyapunov functions which involve time-delay information. Thirdly, using boundary information of membership functions, LMI-based membership-function-dependent stability conditions are developed to reduce the conservativeness of the imperfect premise matching, from which the explicit form of controller gain matrices is obtained. Finally, one practical example illustrates the reliability of derived results.
