Observer-Based Fuzzy control for nonlinear networked systems Under Unmeasurable Premise Variables

The problem of fuzzy observer-based controller design is investigated for nonlinear networked control systems subject to imperfect communication links and parameter uncertainties. The nonlinear networked control systems with parameter uncertainties are modeled through an interval type-2 (IT2) Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) model, in which the uncertainties are handled via lower and upper membership functions. The measurement loss occurs randomly, both in the sensor-to-observer and the controller-to-actuator communication links. Specially, a novel data compensation strategy is adopted in the controller-to-actuator channel. The observer is designed under the unmeasurable premise variables case, and then, the controller is designed with the estimated states. Moreover, the conditions for the existence of the controller can ensure that the resulting closed-loop system is stochastically stable with the predefined disturbance attenuation performance. Two examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

In this paper, a novel sliding mode observer-based fault estimation (FE) method is presented for a class of nonlinear networked control systems (NCSs) with Markov transfer delays. Firstly, the nonlinear NCS is described by a nonlinear discrete Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model using the Euler approximation method. Then, a sliding mode based nonlinear discrete observer is proposed such that the sliding motion of the error dynamical system is asymptotically stable on a designed surface. Then the FE can be achieved through this observer. Finally, an example is included to show the efficiency of the proposed method.

A new integrated fault diagnosis and fault tolerant control algorithm of nonlinear networked control systems is proposed in this paper. A Laplace transform strategy is used to analyze the random time delay problem. Besides, a new fault diagnosis algorithm based on learning observer is designed. Then, based on the fault diagnosis information, a new state feedback fault-tolerant controller is designed, which can ensure that the output of the post-fault system can still track the given target. Finally, a single-link robot is taken as an example for the numerical simulation. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper investigates the problem of observer-based controller design for nonlinear networked control systems subject to imperfect communication links. The Takagi-Sugeno ( T-S) model is utilized to approximate the nonlinear plant. Both the imperfect sensor-to-controller and controller-to-actuator links are considered, which are described via two independent Bernoulli stochastic processes. A dynamic compensation strategy is adopted in the controller-to-actuator link. The premise variables of the observer and the controller to be designed depend on the state variables estimated by the observer instead of those of the plant. Moreover, sufficient criteria are obtained to guarantee the resulting closed-loop system to be stochastically stable with H-infinity performance. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the methodology proposed in this paper.

This study investigates sliding mode control (SMC) for non-linear networked control systems (NCSs) subject to packet disordering as well as external disturbances. The main objectives of the proposed method are to predict packet disordering and to stabilise the NCSs in case of the unknown packet disordering in the future. Firstly, linearisation of non-linear systems and the technology of adopting the newest control input with a stochastic parameter are employed to model the system as a linear Markovian jumping system. Secondly, with the application of a time series prediction model, the phenomenon of disordering better under the novel measurement is portrayed. Then, robust H-infinity SMC is designed by solving the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, examples with sampled disordering packets are simulated to illustrate the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed method.

A Delay-fractioning-dependent method is proposed to investigate the stability and stabilization for nonlinear networked control systems (NNCSs), which are presented in the form of T-S fuzzy model with time-varying input delay. Different from the existing method in dealing with the time-varying delay, the whole variation interval of the delay is divided into two subintervals with equal length. Respecting for the delay belonging to different subintervals, new criteria on stability analysis of the NNCSs are obtained by checking the variation of the derivative of the Lyapunov functional in the two subintervals. Then, criteria for the stability of the NNCSs are obtained by using the convexity properties of the matrix inequality and some other new analysis techniques, which are shown in terms of nonlinear matrix inequalities and can be solved by using a cone complementarity liberalization method. Numerical examples show that the proposed method can reduce the conservativeness greatly.

This paper is concerned with the problem of memory state feedback stabilization for a class of nonlinear discrete-time networked control systems with partly known probability distribution of input delay. Different from the common assumptions on the delay in the existing literatures, it is assumed that the probabilities of the delay taking values in a finite set are partly known or fully known in advance. In terms of the information about the occurrence probabilities of the delay taking values in the two finite sets, a new stochastic delay model is proposed, where the probability information of the delay is included in the parameter matrices of the transformed system. Based on the new model, a delay-dependent stabilization criterion is derived using a combination of the Lyapunov functional method, convexity of matrix inequalities, and linear matrix inequality technique. Finally, three illustrative examples are provided to show the effectiveness and applicability of the developed theoretical results.

This paper studies the problem of observer-based fuzzy control for a class of nonlinear networked control systems (NCSs) in the framework of interval type-2 (IT2) Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model. Both imperfect communication channels and parameter uncertainties are taken into consideration. Bernoulli random distribution is used to describe such unreliable communication environment. nonlinear NCSs are modeled via the IT2 T-S fuzzy model, in which membership functions with lower and upper bounds can capture and express parameter uncertainties. The observer is designed to observe unmeasurable state variables. Moreover, based on these techniques, sufficient conditions are derived to guarantee the resulting closed-loop system to be stochastically stable and possess the property of external disturbance attenuation. In this paper, the fault detection problem is studied for a class of non-linear discrete-time networked control systems (NCSs). An individual stochastic variable satisfying a certain probabilistic distribution is utilised to describe the data drift of each sensor. The random transmission delays with the upper bound and the data drift phenomena are taken into account in a unified framework. By augmenting the states of the original non-linear NCS and the constructed full-order fault detection filter, the resulting fault detection dynamics is converted into an H filtering problem of a non-linear time-delay system. A sufficient condition for the existence of the designed fault detection filter is given in terms of a feasible linear matrix inequality, guaranteeing that the fault detection dynamics is stochastically stable and attains the prescribed H attenuation level. Finally, a numerical example is presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
