Service-oriented manufacturing takes the customers as the center and the comprehensive development of related enterprise as the objective. It is an innovative form of the integration of manufacturing and service. Service-oriented manufacturing is an inevitable choice for the transformation and upgrading of Chinese manufacturing industry. This paper analyzes the concept, characteristics and value creation mechanism of service-oriented manufacturing, and gives the innovative design of numerical control machine from the perspective of service-oriented manufacturing to provide references for relevant researchers.

Due to the enclosed construction and real-time servo control, it is difficult to detect and evaluate the running state of numerical control (NC) machine feed mechanism. In this paper, the motor torque, which is provided by open NCs, is used to analyze the operating performance of feed mechanism. The torque data is divided into segments in different feed condition and piecewise resolved into long-term trend and short-term fluctuation by the least square method. Features of trend and fluctuation are used to indicate the operating condition and mechanical performance. The proposed method is evaluated by three typical feed mechanisms, i.e. rack & pinion, ball-screw and ball-screw with balance hydraulic cylinder, in a large scale milling and boring machine. Results show that the running state of feed mechanisms can be effectively evaluated and some installed and structural defects are well identified.

Fault Diagnosis Based on Multi-sensor Data Fusion for numerical control machine

Fault diagnosis for numerical control machine is more difficult than that for other mechanical equipments due to its structural complexity and the coupling feature among different faults. In order to improve the accuracy and reliability of fault diagnosis for numerical control machine, an intelligent fault diagnosis model is studied. Besides the traditional method that multiple sensors are mounted on different locations, internal operation parameters from machine tool itself or NC program are introduced into the condition monitoring system because numerical machine tool is equipped with different kinds of sensors. These two information sources establish the multi-dimensional information system which provides the original information for diagnosis. On this base, the method based on multi-sensor data fusion is developed in this paper. Multiple characteristic parameters in time domain, frequency domain and time-frequency domain are extracted from the processed signal to mine the fault information. The sensitive parameter set which is regarded as the input characteristic vectors of classifiers is obtained on the base of correlation analysis. Multiple classifiers are enabled respectively and simultaneously to fuse all the sensitive parameters quantitatively and diagnose the fault type. Finally the results of multiple classifiers are fused in the form of global decision fusion by the method of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation to obtain the final diagnosis result. The determination method of weight based on classifier output's entropy is discussed in this paper and the formula is given. This model and method has been tested in rolling bearing fault diagnosis for numerical control machine and the results of the proposed model show which is effective and versatile.

Thermal error is a primary factor affecting the working accuracy of numerical control machine, whereas it can't be measured on-line. So an accurate predictive error is critical to final product quality. In order to improve the predictive accuracy of thermal error, a predictive method based on improved particle swarm optimized back propagation neural network is proposed in this paper. Because of back propagation neural network has the disadvantages of low convergence rate, easy to fall into local optimization and so on. An improved updating strategy of particle position based on the stand particle swarm method is built. Then with the improved particle swarm algorithm, the threshold and weight of the neural network is optimized to form the thermal error predictive method. The simulation results conducted on MATLAB shows that the proposed thermal error predictive method has a higher predictive accuracy, better generalization ability compared with stand Back Propagation(BP) Neural Network and Support Vector machine.

In order to better obtain information about customer requirement and develop products meeting customer requirement, it is necessary to systematically analyze and handle the customer requirement. This article uses the product service system of numerical control machine as research objective and studies the customer requirement modeling and mapping oriented toward configuration design. It introduces the conception of requirement unit, expounds the customer requirement decomposition rules, and establishes customer requirement model;it builds the house of quality using quality function deployment and confirms the weight of technical feature of product and service;it explores the relevance rules between data using rough set theory, establishes rule database, and solves the target value of technical feature of product. Using economical turning center series numerical control machine as an example, it verifies the rationality of proposed customer requirement model.

Intelligent CNC control with improved adaptive thermal error compensation model

permits reproduction any provided original properly Abstract. The thermal errors (TE) of computer numerical control (CNC) in workshop production seriously reduces the productivity. Therefore, to improve the productivity of CNC and enhance production intelligence, an improved adaptive TE compensation model (TECM) is proposed. The model is based on an online temperature measurement system (OTMS), which improves the adaptive learning rate of back-propagation neural network (BPNN) for temperature prediction. Finally, the correlation value between temperature changes and TEs is used for thermal error compensation. The performance verification of the model shows that the proposed OTMS can achieve effective temperature acquisition and processing, and the prediction ability of the improved BPNN is significantly higher than that of other prediction algorithms. Finally, it is found in the test that the improved adaptive TECM can reduce the contour error of workpiece machining to within 0.02x10-3 mm, the machining accuracy of CNC is significantly improved. The above results show that using the improved adaptive TECM can promote the intelligent development of CNC and improve their machining accuracy, which is of great significance to the development of workshop manufacturing.

Fault Detection Method of CNC machine Tool Based on Wavelet Transform

In order to overcome the problems of low detection accuracy and long detection time of traditional fault detection methods for CNC machine tools, a new fault detection method for CNC machine tools based on wavelet transform is proposed in this paper. In order to improve the effectiveness of running fault detection of CNC machine tools, a wavelet transform method is used to extract the features of the running fault signals of CNC machine tools. According to the feature extraction results, the convolution calculation of the continuous wavelet transform is used to complete the fault detection of CNC machine tool according to the scale result of fault signal. The experimental results show that, compared with traditional fault detection methods, the detection accuracy and efficiency of this method is significantly better: the highest detection accuracy is 97%, and the lowest detection time is only 1.1s.
