The magnetohydrodynamics hybrid nanofluid (HNF) flow across a stretching & shrinking sheet is numerically studied. The HNF is synthesized by the scattering of SiO2 and MoS2 nanoparticles (NPs) in the ethylene glycol (EG). The impact of thermal radiation, surface permeability, heat absorption/generation, aligned magnetic field, and convective condition are also considered. The present research endeavors to discourse the research gap and offer remarkable perceptions of the above particular physical factors. The governing equations of HNF are renovated into the nonlinear dimensionless differential equations, which are numerically cracked through the well-known parametric continuation approach (PCA). The range of physical flow parameters on the flow rate, thermal field, and mass distributions have been considered according to the better convergence of the solution. From tabular and graphical results, it can be determined that the flow rate of HNF declines with the effect of the magnetic field and the rising number of SiO2 and MoS2 NPs in the EG. Furthermore, the outcome of bioconvective Schmidt number and Peclet number declines the density of microorganism distribution. The fluid velocity boosts with the effect of rotation parameter, while declines with consequences of the aligned magnetic field.

We present an innovative interpretation of Kalman filter(KF)combining the ideas of Schwarz domain decomposition(DD)and parallel in time(PinT)*** we call it *** contrast to standard DD approaches which are already incorporated in KF and other state estimation models,implementing a straightforward data parallelism inside the loop over time,DD-KF ab-initio partitions the whole model,including filter equations and dynamic model along both space and time directions/*** a consequence,we get local KFs reproducing the original filter at smaller dimensions on local ***,sub problems could be solved in *** order to enforce the matching of local solutions on overlapping regions,and then to achieve the same global solution of KF,local KFs are slightly modified by adding a correction term keeping track of contributions of adjacent subdomains to overlapping *** a correction term balances localization errors along overlapping regions,acting as a regularization constraint on local ***,such a localization excludes remote observations from each analyzed location improving the conditioning of the error covariance *** dynamic model we consider shallow water equations which can be regarded a consistent tool to get a proof of concept of the reliability assessment of DD-KF in monitoring and forecasting of weather systems and ocean currents.

This paper is devoted to establishing a nonlinear constitutive model incorporating crack closure effect for capturing the whole process of rock deformation and failure behavior under compression. The model formulated in the framework of irreversible thermodynamics is based on the additive decomposition of the total strain into crack closure strain, elastic, and plastic parts. New specific criteria are proposed for the description of crack closure strain and plastic strain evolution. Notably, analytical solutions of the model under conventional triaxial compression loading conditions are derived. For application, a robust semi-implicit return mapping (SRM) algorithm with a crack closure strain correction and a plastic strain correction is developed. The analytical solutions, herein, are subtly used to calibrate model parameters and as reference results for assessing the accuracy and robustness of the SRM algorithm. Validation of the model conducted by comparing with experimental data from the literature shows that the model can properly describe the nonlinear mechanical behaviors of rocks, including crack closure effect, strain hardening/softening, peak and residual strength, as well as volumetric compaction/dilation transition. In addition, a nonlocal formulation is introduced as an extension of the model to remedy the mesh dependency problem.

Comparative Analysis of Caputo and Variable-Order Fractional Derivative algorithms Across Various Applications

Fractional derivative models have emerged as powerful tools for describing complex dynamics in various fields. However, selecting the appropriate fractional derivative method for specific applications remains a challenge due to the diverse nature of real-world systems. This paper presents a comprehensive comparison between the Caputo fractional derivative and the variable-order fractional derivative methods for multiple applications. By exploring diverse examples, we illustrate the strengths and limitations of each approach in modeling real-world phenomena. numerical simulations are conducted using the Grunwald–Letnikov method to approximate the solutions. In addition, we propose a new algorithm for comparing and implementing fixed and variable-order fractional derivatives efficiently. The motivation for this study stems from the growing demand for accurate, adaptable, and computationally efficient tools to model systems with memory and dynamic changes. The results reveal distinct differences in performance and accuracy, highlighting the scenarios in which each method excels. This comparative study aims to provide information for researchers and practitioners in selecting the appropriate fractional derivative model and algorithm for their specific applications. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature India Private Limited 2025.

The Artificial Neural Network Optimization for Thermally Magnetized Williamson Fluid Flow over a Porous Surface

The current scientific work examines a pseudo-plastic Williamson fluid over a homogenous porous media. Momentum and energy equations refer to the executive branch partial differential equations (PDE). A new transformation and symmetry analysis scaling group are applied to these PDEs to convert them into ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The numerical algorithm utilized to perform the BVP4C solver from the MATLAB series solves these ODEs. The present research explores the impact of different physical parameters on temperature and velocity distributions. The coefficient of skin friction (Cfx) and the local Nusselt number (Nux) are employed to illustrate graphs and table values. Furthermore, Machine Learning (ML) models adopted Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) to predict physical quantities with a 95% accuracy. Subsequently, implementing the Levenberg-Marquardt Artificial Neural Network approach handles complex nonlinear problems, accurate predictions, optimizations, and error reduction to validate the outcomes of biomedical applications and its accuracy level of 99%. These innovative approaches are expected to promote future developments in energy-related technology optimization, and the conclusions are more advanced than previous physical evidence and biological applications, including blood flow analysis, drug delivery systems, and cancer treatment. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature India Private Limited 2025.

On Convergence of Higher Order Differential-Difference Schemes for Telegraph Equation

The purpose of this article is to introduce an approximation method for solving the Dirichlet initial boundary value problem (IBVP) for the telegraph equation. The approach involves the idea of discretizing a spatial variable and utilizing the integral-interpolation method with specific fundamental functions. The original equation is multiplied by auxiliary functions, and subsequently interpolation and integration methods are applying on the spatial variable to generate system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs). Flexible applications of the Newton-Stirling and Hermite-Birkhoff interpolations are made to internal and close-to-boundary nodes. Additionally, the boundary conditions are automatically satisfied without the need for a separate approximation as in classical numerical methods like the grid method or the method of lines. As a result, the suggested schemes have a higher level of approximation. To prove the convergence of differential-difference schemes of high degree of accuracy, the logarithmic norm of the matrix is used.

A fast algorithm for decoding an object image in structured light for measuring a three-dimensional profile in a nonlinear optical path

The study uses phase triangulation methods to examine the development of image processing algorithms for measuring a three-dimensional (3D) surface profile. An algorithm is proposed for decoding images of an object in structured light based on an iterative search for the minimum deviation of the model function using measurement results and compensating for the nonlinearity of the transceiver path of the measuring complex. A distinctive feature of the proposed method is that the search for the model function is desired in the form of a second-degree polynomial, ensuring the stability of the method against nonlinear distortions caused by power-law transformations of the transceiver path. The interval search method is used to reduce algorithmic complexity qualitatively. The proposed algorithm provides a stable search for the value of the initial phase shift in object images, is resistant to noise and nonlinear distortions, and allows image processing in 3D scanning systems based on triangulation methods using structured illumination and phase triangulation. Thus, the algorithm will be useful for data processing during the operation of measuring systems with a nonlinear transceiver path and measurement time constraints.

The complex technical object usually can be described as a set of technological components (blocks). Its functional diagram can be represented by an oriented multi-graph. The vertices of the graph correspond to separate components (blocks) of a technical object. The blocks are characterized by design parameters. The graph may contain feedback loops. Blocks' output parameters can be determined from the values of their input parameters. The software developed in C++ language serves for calculating functional diagrams of steam boilers. The software determines also the values of derived output parameters from the design parameters values. It can be used to improve the technical characteristics of an object and determine control parameters for various modes of its operation. The calculation of the thermal scheme is based on the use of a model heat exchanger. In this case, the calculation of the thermal scheme is reduced to an iterative solution of a system of linear equations. A brief description of the software is provided.

Circle-circle intersection. A universal method for solving typical surveying problems

The research problem of the article is to devise a universal mathematical procedure for calculating point coordinates from typical planar surveying measurements. The proposed solution involves calculating the intersection points of two circles with radii equal to the measured distances (the distance-distance intersection problem). The author demonstrates a straightforward method for reducing every typical surveying problem to the distance-distance intersection form. The procedure also verifies the accuracy of the calculated coordinates. The derived equations were tested numerically using practical examples. The devised procedure will be integrated into an exhaustive numerical algorithm for diverse surveying problems regardless of the geometric approach during measurements.

A zoonotic virus called the Nipah virus (NV) can create deadly illness epidemics in humans. The animal host repository for NV is the fruit bat, sometimes referred to as the flying fox. It has been documented to infect pigs, which are regarded as intermediary carriers. Scientists' interest in infectious disease modeling has surged because non-integer-order derivatives work so well. In this work, we present a model of NV infection propagation that accounts for both the disappearance of antibodies in rehabilitated people and all human-to-host animal propagation. Taking into consideration the fractal-fractional operator in the generalized Mittag-Leffler kernel sense, we contemplated the numerical solutions for the proposed model via the Lagrange interpolation polynomial technique. Several qualitative aspects of the NV model, such as positive bounded solution, disease-free equilibrium, and the basic reproduction number (R0\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$${R}_numerical$$\end{document}), are presented with a graphic illustration to demonstrate the effectiveness of the system parameters. To establish efficient time-dependent oversight, sensitive evaluation of the framework's components is also carried out. Besides that, the local and global stability at the disease-free equilibrium point is provided in detail. Meanwhile, a fractional bifurcation framework is developed according to the sensitivity indices, and numerical simulations are used to identify the most efficient prevention approach. The mathematical mechanism of the NV model is characterized by the Atangana-Baleanu fractal-fractional differential operators, which are newly described as fractal-fractional differential operators.
