The evolution of wireless communication technologies brought great benefits to society, such as multi-connectivity, increased connection speed, low latency, and elevated throughput. However, it has also raised concerns regarding security and the amount of handovers to accomplish this. In this paper, we propose a low-complexity machine learning paradigm for handover prediction in 5G mobile networks by applying the Logistic Regression algorithm. By considering selection criteria like Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP), Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio (SINR), Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI), and distance in this algorithm, we show that it is possible to significantly reduce the number of handovers and provide a better quality of service to the user.

A Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is made up of multiple nodes connected by routing protocols that do not require any infrastructure or centralized access point. Mobility and transmission power are two important parameters that influence the activity of MANET routing protocols. This study investigates the network performance of the reactive protocol AODV under different transmission power conditions in three mobility models of Random waypoint, Mass mobility and Linear mobility. Also, this study evaluates the impact of network size, mobility speed and simulation area on the network performance in terms of different QoS parameters. The simulation results are obtained using omnet++ and INET framework for AODV routing protocol. The findings indicate a good and helpful baseline for the researchers in evaluating some of the QoS metrics such as the packet delivery ratio, end to end delay and throughput under various scenarios in MANET environment.

In this paper, we study the coexistence of two key technologies in the same fifth-generation network, namely D2D (Device-to-Device) communication and MEC (Multi-Access Edge Computing) technology. These two promising technologies each have important roles to play in future telecommunications networks. D2D communication is a technology that aims to improve communication efficiency, increase overall throughput, and decrease latency. Multi-Access Edge Computing, a promising new concept, overcomes the burden of core cloud servers. This makes it possible to provide large storage, compute, and resource capacities to mobile edge nodes. With its closest deployment to users, it significantly reduces end-to-end transmission time. Our architecture consists of an access network and a central network, a base station (gNodeB), users, an MEC server and a gateway (UPF) to connect it to the RAN (Radio Access Network) of the core network. The base station controls communication by managing signaling and interference. The MEC server is placed next to the BS to provide data to the devices. It plays the role of the cloud that is located in the core network and allows you to store data and then do calculations for good communication between devices. Finally, we did a simulation using the omnet software. The results showed us that the data transmission passed well between the end devices, the antennas and the MEC server with very low latency and reliability.

Ad hoc network is composed of mobile nodes without infrastructure. Depending on a hop-by-hop basis of connection, communications between high-mobility nodes are accomplished via cooperative forwarding. Especially, the vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) is a technology that uses moving cars as nodes to create a mobile network or implement vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) connection. However, the discussion about live streaming or comparative performance in V2V has been lacked so far. We propose a V2V streaming on omnet platform (VSOP) to build a V2V evaluation of real-time multimedia streaming under TCP/UDP on VANET. We not only compare TCP and UDP, but also analyze and simulate the routing performance in VANET. The major contribution of proposed scheme is a compared study of protocols for real-time wireless application.
