This paper is devoted to a high-precision tracking control strategy of permanent magnet synchronous linear motor (PMSLM). Firstly, the field-oriented control model of the PMSLM is established to calculate the electromagnetic thrust. To reconstruct the system states and reject the lump disturbance, a novel observer-based compensator is proposed, by taking the basic ideas of the frequency-domain disturbance observer and the time-domain one (the extended state observer in active disturbance rejection control, ADRC). A radial-basis-function neural network (RBFNN) controller with accurate approximation capability is utilized to tracking the desired motion trajectory. Contrasted to the RBFNN's parameters self-evolved, a simple and unique parameters tuning method is derived to guarantee the compensator performance. All the proposed algorithms are implemented in a rapid control prototype (RCP) real-time simulation platform and the simulation and experiment results validate the rightness of theoretical analysis and the feasibility of the proposed methods.

This paper proposes a novel approach to design interval observer-based compensator for linear systems with uncertain parameters and measurement noises. based on monotone system theory, existence decoupled conditions of observers gain design to guarantee cooperativity and input-to-state stability of error dynamics system are proposed in terms of a set of linear matrix inequalities. Moreover, a compensator consisting of the observers and output feedback controller is designed within interval observer design framework. Such an observer-based compensator has a simple separation structure, which shows that interval observers and feedback controller can be simultaneously designed based on separation principle. The developed techniques on observer-based compensator design are illustrated through a practical example.

In this paper, the multivariable model reference control design problem for the system with external disturbance is studied. An observer-based controller is employed to treat model matching and disturbance rejection simultaneously. The minimax error approach is employed to treat this problem from the viewpoint of time domain. The existence problem of the minimax design is also discussed. While the optimal solution does not exist, a design algorithm for constructing a suboptimal solution is also proposed. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the optimal design.
