This paper addresses the problem of analyzing long-term strategies for commissioning of generating and dismantling capacities of electric power systems described by means of the nonclassical Volterra equation of the first kind. The paper offers a review of mathematical models designed for calculating forecast values of the input capacities of electric power systems for various strategies of the generating equipment dismantling. We study the vector model that takes into account three types of generating. A new integral model accounts for division of the generating equipment into certain age groups with various technical and economic functioning parameters described the capacity aging processes. We also consider a search problem for the optimal generating equipment lifetime for a given demand for electricity and minimum total costs of commissioning and operating the capacities. We build a forecast for commissioning of generating capacities for various power consumption scenarios and economic indices. Numerical solution to the optimization problem of the generating equipment dismantling time is given. All calculations have been made as applied to the Russia's Unified Energy System.

Due to the increased usage of smart phones, mobile users now have access to a diverse set of services. These mobile services have increased the demand for faster wireless networks. In this paper, we examines mobility support functions in soft handoff for IP-based mobile network, and distinguishes the control areas in the cell's range areas for mobile network's efficient session control (SC). Based on Continuous-time Markov Chain (CTMC), we introduce the loss formula such as blocking rate and handoff drop probabilities for the performance analysis. Efficient functions of False Handoff Sessions (FHS) are introduced, focusing on Inter-domain handoff. The experimental results show that our proposed scheme shows that the proposed model is highly efficient and advantageous.

In this paper we study the problem of maximizing a quadratic form < Ax,x > subject to parallel to x parallel to(q) = 1, where A has matrix entries f([i,j]/(i,j)) with i, j vertical bar k and q >= 1. We investigate when the optimum is achieved at a 'multiplicative' point;i.e. where x(1)x(mn) = x(m)x(n). This turns out to depend on both f and q, with a marked difference appearing as q varies between 1 and 2. Objective: In the course of clinical treatment, several medical media are required by a physician in order to provide accurate and complete information about a patient. Medical image registration techniques can provide a richer diagnosis and treatment information to doctors and to provide a comprehensive reference source for the researchers involved in image registration as an optimization problem. Methods: The essence of image registration is associating two or more different images spatial association, and getting the translation of their spatial relationship. For medical image registration, its process is not absolute. Its core purpose is finding the conversion relationship between different images. Result: The major step of image registration includes the change of geometrical dimensions, and change of the image of the combination, image similarity measure, iterative optimization and interpolation process. Conclusion: The contribution of this review is sort of related image registration research methods, can provide a brief reference for researchers about image registration.

The present study aims to show how the problem of reproducing, as closely as possible, binders of historic mortars by mixing raw materials which are commercially available, can be formulated as a linear optimization problem. The study points out that by mixing five standard raw materials (end-members) it is possible to obtain mortar binders with the almost same chemical compositions of those determined on the historic and archaeological mortar samples studied in some recent scientific papers. An advanced function of the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, the Solver add-in, was used for the calculation of the right amount of each raw material to be mixed for producing the new binders. This approach could be useful to provide an optimal solution in the process of restoration of ancient monuments, where it is necessary to replace the historic mortars with new highly compatible repair mortars.

Smart transformer (ST) used in distribution system can connect dc links and provide grid services;however, high maintenance cost limits its availability. Therefore, this article aims to improve the lifetime of the ST with the cascaded H bridge-dual active bridge (CHB-DAB) structure and extend the maintenance interval. Power routing (PR) is applied to centralize the lifetime of building blocks by controlling the power flowing through them. The damage evaluation results after considering capacitor show that it is the dominant factor of damage. Therefore, different from previous studies, this article adopts unbalanced dc-side voltage of CHB for PR. In addition, because the traditional virtual resistor (VR) method cannot deal with the boundary conditions, such as overvoltage and overload limitation, a general controller based on optimization problem is proposed in this article to solve this. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy and the control effect of the proposed universal controller are verified by simulation, and the feasibility of PR under the proposed control strategy is proved by experiments.
