Construction and optimization strategy for collaborative governance of construction waste resource utilization

The resource utilization of construction and demolition waste (C&DW) is critical for mitigating environmental impacts and promoting sustainable development. This research evaluates the current state of resource utilization governance in 35 pilot cities across China, identifying significant challenges. A collaborative governance framework and measurement scale are developed utilizing actor-network theory (ANT). The study employs structural equation modeling (SEM) combined with system dynamics (SD) to construct a model that simulates the interactions within collaborative governance mechanisms and their impact on governance performance. This model supports the development of scenario optimization strategies. A case study focusing on new district development in China illustrates the practical applications of the findings. The research reveals that the strategic focus and implementation of collaborative governance should evolve in response to the different stages of C&DW market development. From 2023 to 2025, the study recommends enhancing governance performance through multiagent collaborative supervision, fiscal and taxation incentives and constraints, and whole process information management. Between 2025 and 2030, the emphasis should shift towards improving whole-process information management, refining government guidance on resource utilization, and establishing a comprehensive technical standards system. From 2030 to 2035, it is advised that industry associations strengthen their role in guiding resource utilization methods and coordinating human resources, alongside a reasonable increase in the costs associated with resource disposal to further boost governance performance. These findings aim to provide valuable insights and recommendations for governments, industry associations, market actors, and other stakeholders involved in the collaborative governance of C&DW resource utilization.

A cascaded FAS-UNet plus framework with iterative optimization strategy for segmentation of organs at risk

egmentation of organs at risks (OARs) in the thorax plays a critical role in radiation therapy for lung and esophageal cancer. Although automatic segmentation of OARs has been extensively studied, it remains challenging due to the varying sizes and shapes of organs, as well as the low contrast between the target and background. This paper proposes a cascaded FAS-UNet+ framework, which integrates convolutional neural networks and nonlinear multi-grid theory to solve a modified Mumford-shah model for segmenting OARs. This framework is equipped with an enhanced iteration block, a coarse-to-fine multiscale architecture, an iterative optimization strategy, and a model ensemble technique. The enhanced iteration block aims to extract multiscale features, while the cascade module is used to refine coarse segmentation predictions. The iterative optimization strategy improves the network parameters to avoid unfavorable local minima. An efficient data augmentation method is also developed to train the network, which significantly improves its performance. During the prediction stage, a weighted ensemble technique combines predictions from multiple models to refine the final segmentation. The proposed cascaded FAS-UNet+ framework was evaluated on the SegTHOR dataset, and the results demonstrate significant improvements in Dice score and Hausdorff Distance (HD). The Dice scores were 95.22%, 95.68%, and HD values were 0.1024, and 0.1194 for the segmentations of the aorta and heart in the official unlabeled dataset, respectively. An integrated optimization strategy by Joule heating technique enabling rapid fabrication of robust Li1.3Al0.3Ti1.7(PO4)3 solid-state electrolyte for all-solid-state lithium metal batteries

The advancement of high-energy-density and intrinsically safe all-solid-state lithium metal batteries (ASSLMBs) is crucial for the comprehensive electrification of energy consumption. Nevertheless, intrinsic defects in solidstate electrolytes (SSEs) and suboptimal interfacial contacts often lead to uncontrolled dendritic growth during practical battery operation. To address these challenges, this study proposes an integrated optimization strategy for bulk-phase defects and interfacial contacts of Li1.3Al0.3Ti1.7(PO4)3 (LATP) SSEs based on ultra-fast Joule heating sintering (UHS) technique. Introducing specific sintering auxiliaries and a dual-process sintering approach can achieve the rapid densification of LATP SSEs. Additionally, the thermal pulse welding (TPW) technique for the integrated anode/SSE/cathode further provides superior SSE/electrode interface contact, facilitating the in-situ formation of a continuous ion-conducting network for improved electrochemical kinetics. The optimized Li||LATP||NCM811 ASSLMBs demonstrate exceptional specific capacity (185.9 mAh/g at 0.2 C) and robust cycling stability (90.9 % capacity retention after 100 cycles). This integrated optimization strategy can offer a critical technical reference for the rapid fabrication of high-performance ASSLMBs.

Analysis of optimization strategy for trucks in highway traffic with a long tunnel

Analysis of trucks' impacts on the mixed two-lane highway traffic flow with a long tunnel would be a challenge. It needs to figure out the driving behavior of vehicles passing through different positions of a tunnel, i.e., approach section, entrance section, basic section, exit section, and general section. Also, it requires depicting the different driving patterns of trucks and cars, and the interference between them. To deal with these problems, we propose a modified two-lane cellular automaton traffic model with a long tunnel based on a model previously established by our team. The comparison between the calculated and measured results about flows and speeds shows a good agreement. The numerical result shows that the capacity will be reduced when trucks are mixed in the traffic flow, and the more trucks are, the lower the traffic flow will be. Then the strategy of lane restriction for trucks is recommended from the perspective of traffic optimization. The corresponding traffic properties are investigated, and the results are compared with those obtained from the situation without adopting lane restrictions for trucks. When the truck restriction strategy is applied, there is a notable enhancement in traffic capacity, particularly in the scenario with high traffic volume and large proportion of trucks. We investigate the underlying mechanics by analyzing the change in velocities along the road and vehicles' spatiotemporal evolution. It reveals that implementing lane restrictions for trucks, especially in scenarios with medium to high traffic volume, can improve lane utilization, increase average speeds, reduce traffic congestion, and enhance traffic flow. Then the strategy proves efficient, and it may offer valuable guidance for traffic management on highways featuring long tunnels.

The development of power sales companies needs to have diversified selection models. The new type of electricity sales company needs to meet the comfort needs of users while ensuring its own economic benefits. Therefore, this article aims to optimize the operation mode of the new electricity sales company and proposes an optimization model based on GridLAB-D simulation software. This model uses the optimization module Yalmip toolbox in MTALAB for data optimization processing. In addition, this article also combines the comfort level of residential users and the thermodynamic model of residential buildings to establish models for the distribution network of electricity sales companies under islanded and grid connected modes, taking into account the comfort level of residents. The data under the two modes are compared and analyzed. Then, a home microgrid simulation was conducted considering factors such as new energy and HVAC systems, and thermal integrity impact analysis was conducted. This confirms that the research work in this article can provide relevant reference value for building comprehensive power sales companies in the future. © Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Investigation on damage mechanism and optimization strategy of the LiCoO2 composite cathode in All-Solid-State Lithium Battery

Solid-state composite electrodes play a crucial role in all-solid-state lithium batteries (ASSLBs). However, strain mismatch between the active material (AM) and matrix volume changes during discharge/charge cycles induce diffusion-induced stresses, resulting in the degradation of the solid composite cathode. In this study, we develop a particle-level geometric model to investigate the damage evolution in the solid electrolyte (SE) caused by ion/ electron migration in the SE matrix, material transfer in the active particles, the interaction between the SE matrix and active particles, and the local current density at the SE/AM interface. We simulate the effect of mechanical damage on the electrochemical properties by coupling the damage variables and the ionic conductivity of the SE matrix. Our research results indicate that at higher discharge rates, the capacity decline caused by mechanical damage worsens. Furthermore, an increase in the volume ratio of active particles leads to additional damage in this model. Therefore, while maintaining an appropriate volume ratio, we propose a larger particle LS (larger particle near separator) dual-gradient near the separator, which will increase the discharge capacity by 8.5% at a discharge rate of 2C.

NSGA-II algorithm based control parameters optimization strategy for megawatt novel nuclear power systems

The megawatt novel nuclear power system (MNNPS) of heat-pipe reactor coupled with supercritical carbon dioxide (sCO2) Brayton cycle is the critical research topic, and its control system plays an important role for its safety. However, there are very few studies on the optimization of MNNPS control parameters. Obtaining the best control parameters under specified control system structures is an important way to improve the safety of MNNPS. In this paper, a NSGA-II algorithm based control parameters optimization strategy for MNNPS is proposed. Firstly, the sensitivity analysis of control parameters was carried out to analyze the coupling effect between the system-controlled parameters. Subsequently, bi-objective and tri-objective control parameter optimization strategies were proposed for MNNPS, under which NSGA-II algorithm was used to optimize the control system parameters of MNNPS sequentially. Finally, to verify the effectiveness of the proposed optimization strategies, dynamic simulations of the MNNPS under typical transient conditions such as step and ramp load change transients were simulated. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the two optimization strategies, and the superiority of the tri-objective optimization strategy over the bi-objective optimization strategy. This paper can provide theoretical support for the optimization of MNNPS control system parameters.

Atmospheric pressure plasma processing (APPP) is proved to be potential in the fabrication of optical elements with high efficiency and near-zero damage. However, high convergence rate in the figuring process is hard to achieve because of the tool influence function (TIF) non-linearity. Directly solved dwell time map by conventional deconvolution methods does not consider the non-linear thermal effect, which leads to significant figuring error. In this paper, the optimization strategy for TIF non-linearity based on the velocity distribution in APPP is presented. The exponential model of TIF with non-linearity is established by trench experiments. A series of simulations are also conducted to analyze the thermal effect of non-linearity on the figuring process, indicating the TIF constantly changes with velocity distribution. Two evaluation parameters, relative balance factor and velocity concentration factor, are proposed to investigate the figuring capacity of calculated velocity distribution. With two evaluation parameters, the optimization strategy of velocity distribution based on TIF selection is proposed to suppress the non-linearity. Verification experiments are carried out to validate the two optimized TIFs. The results show that high convergence is achieved to be 72.41% and 82.81% for root-mean-square value respectively, which proves the feasibility of the proposed optimization strategy.
