Traditional clustering analysis only takes the distance factor into account. When the clustering conditions contain factors other than distance, using traditional clustering algorithm usually can't obtain feasible results. Based on the pam clustering algorithm and combined with a certain application background, this paper proposes a clustering algorithm with time constraints for small-scale datasets called TCpam and applies this algorithm to a mobile platform application. The algorithm introduces restrictions combining distance factor and time factor into the clustering process, so that to cluster the data objects by the "principle of proximity" and "time constraints" of the dual restrictions. The experimental results show that our algorithm can achieve a good clustering performance.

To solve the inefficiency problem of traditional pam algorithm for initial cluster center,a new improved pam algorithm is *** algorithm builds minimum spanning tree and then splits it to get k initial clusters with the relevant cluster *** analysis and experimental results show that the found initial centers are closed to the desired cluster centers,and the improved algorithm can achieve stable clustering results and higher cluster clustering accuracy.

Effective and robust clustering for spatiotemporally dependent data

Spatio-temporal data exists in various fields such as transportation and environment, and the analysis of clustering plays a critical role in understanding such data. However, spatio-temporal clustering faces challenges, as it is frequently affected by the time length of data and the intricate dependence structure of spatio-temporal data. In this work, we propose a robust approach to achieve the fuzzy clustering of complex spatio-temporal data. This involves two key technologies: (1) the reconstruction of spatio-temporal data using B-splines, and (2) the incorporation of a weighted exponential function to characterize spatial and temporal dependencies. The data reconstruction reduces the impact of the time length on clustering while improving computational efficiency. Meanwhile, the integration of a spatio-temporal scaling factor within the weighted function addresses the scale difference between spatial and temporal coordinates. For the implementation, the clustering process is performed using the Partitioning Around Medoids (pam) algorithm, and the optimization of the number of clusters is achieved through the use of the fuzzy silhouette coefficient. Extensive simulation studies and two real-world applications are used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Clustering is a crucial data-mining tool for analyzing valuable information from a massive data volume. Partition Around Medoids (pam), one of the clustering algorithms that is simple, scalable and can easily implement but sensitive to initial medoids and vast amount of data. Meta-heuristics algorithms such as Ant Colony Optimization algorithm, Bat algorithm, Bees algorithm, etc. used to introduce the combinative in the clustering algorithm that will gives optimum medoids and hence find the better cluster quality. But, the main issue of very large data is in time consumption and lack of quality. To avoid issued of time consumption, existing clustering approaches are run on parallel frameworks. So, this paper proposed the hybrid approach to integrate pam and Bat which one of meta-heuristic algorithm to obtain optimal initial medoids and pam to get the better clusters. To handle a large number of datasets for fast and parallel processing, all experiments are done in Apache Spark Framework.

Cluster Analysis and Realization of Mixed Data

Mixed data is often generated in daily production and life. In order to improve the efficiency of data mining, it is necessary to establish a cluster analysis method for mixed data. We introduced the details of the calculation method of the comprehensive distance for the mixed data, the choice of the number of clusters and the choice of the clustering method. In the empirical analysis, we select the mixed data set, use ＂gower＂ distance function to calculate the distance of the mixed data first, then select the appropriate number of clusters according to the size of the average silhouette width, finally use the pam and CLARA algorithm to realize the cluster analysis of the mixed data. We find that the clustering results of pam algorithm and CLARA algorithm are different, and the clustering results of CLARA algorithm perform better.
