In order to solve the problem of using pf to estimate the value of overflow loss in the process of replacing the optimal value and reducing the particle difference in the estimation process, this paper proposes an estimation algorithm based on pf and the fusion of the improved TLBO algorithm (TLBO-pf) applied to the overflow Estimation of flow loss. By optimizing the pf reference distribution, the problem of replacing the optimal problem caused by the high probability density region of particle changes during the estimation process is solved. Replace TLBO with pf resampling process to solve the problem of degradation in pf resampling process. By improving the teaching and learning process, the problem of local optimization of probability overlap in the estimation of overflow loss using TLBO instead of pf resampling is solved. TLBO and pf are fused to achieve a large number of sampled particles in the overflow estimation process while making the results easier and excellent, and simulation verification. Compared with the estimated value of pf, the error of the TLBO-pf estimation of the total volume in series is reduced by 4%, and the error of the total mass estimation is reduced by 34%, thus indicating that the TLBO-pf estimation performance is good.

Lithium-ion batteries are widely used in many fields. Conducting Remaining Useful Life (RUL) assessment can effectively identify the aging state and degradation trends, addressing safety issues arising from untimely battery replacement. This paper proposes a battery RUL estimation method based on a Particle Filter (pf) algorithm-corrected empirical model. Firstly, aging experiments are conducted to obtain degradation data under different rates and depths of discharge (DOD) aging conditions, and the most suitable model is selected from four commonly used empirical models. Secondly, combining known aging data, the pf algorithm is employed to correct the parameters of the empirical model, making it applicable to other aging conditions. Experimental results demonstrate that under different aging conditions and with varying known data, the absolute average relative errors in battery capacity estimation are within $1.5 \%$, and the absolute relative errors in RUL estimation are within 10%. © 2024 IEEE.

Low-rank path-following algorithm for 3D similarity registration

To address the 3D point matching problem where the pose difference between two point sets is unknown, the authors propose a path following (pf)-based algorithm. This method works by reducing the objective function of robust point matching (RPM) algorithm to a function of point correspondence variable and then using pf for optimisation. By using the 3D similarity transformation which has few parameters, authors' method needs no regularisation on transformation and, therefore, can handle the case when the pose difference between two point sets is unknown. The authors also propose a novel convex term for use in the pf algorithm which is based on the low-rank nature of authors' objective function and leads to a pf algorithm which converges quickly. Experimental results demonstrated better robustness of the proposed method over state-of-the-art methods and authors' method is also efficient.

Research on Dynamic Tracking of Seamless Positioning Based on Global Positioning System, Beidou, and Digital Television Multimedia Broadcasting

Because of the location failure of the global positioning system (GPS) in dense urban areas and indoor environments, a seamless positioning system based on GPS, Beidou, and digital television multimedia broadcasting (DTMB), which has nonlinear model characteristics, has been proposed. This paper focuses on the dynamic positioning tracking effect of two kinds of nonlinear filtering algorithm under the three-dimensional planar variable turn model (PVTM);that is, the nonlinear filtering algorithm mainly contains an extended Kalman filter (EKF) and a particle filter (pf). Our simulation has been carried out from two aspects;on one hand, the number of particles affects the position tracking precision in the pf algorithm. On the other hand, the location tracking effects of the pf and EKF algorithms have been comparatively analyzed using the same simulation model. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the filtering trajectories of EKF and pf are basically consistent with the real trajectory, but the tracking performance of the pf algorithm is higher than that of the EKF algorithm. Error means of 500 and 100 particles are 2.8736 and 5.3601 m, respectively. The error mean of EKF is 11.2065 m. The seamless positioning system can meet the positioning accuracy, coverage, and real-time performance requirements. The feasibility and superiority of the seamless positioning system have been proved. Such studies have positive practical and profound historically significant effects on the positioning system in the development of China's independent intellectual property rights based on DTMB and Beidou signals.

GNSS Positioning Enhancement Based on NLOS Multipath Biases Estimation Using Gaussian Mixture Noise

Global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) have been widely used in many applications where positioning plays an important role. However, the performances of these applications can be degraded in urban canyons, due to Non-Line-Of-Sight (NLOS) and Multipath interference affecting GNSS signals. In order to ensure high accuracy positioning, this article proposes to model the NLOS and Multipath biases by Gaussian Mixture noise using Expectation Maximization (EM) algorithm. In this context, an approach to estimate the Multipath and NLOS biases for real time positioning is presented and statistical tests for searching the probability distribution of NLOS and Multipath biases are illustrated. Furthermore, a hybrid approach based on pf (Particle Filter) and EM algorithm for estimating user position in hard environment is presented. Using real GPS (Global Positioning System) signal, the efficiency of the proposed approach is shown, and a significant improvement of the positioning accuracy over the simple pf estimation is obtained.

This work studies a recently reported radio access technology, NOMA (non-orthogonal multiple access), and proposes a new offline power allocation method. On the basis of the power allocation method, we further propose a new NOMA-based scheduling algorithm and vague. Finally, we systematically assess the capability of the algorithm from four aspects of system throughput, QoS service, fairness and running time. A significant improvement is found as compared to the Proportional Fair algorithm based OFDMA.

Joint proportional fair user scheduling for in-building distributed antenna systems

This study exploits coordinated proportional fair (pf) user scheduling for in-building distributed antenna systems (DAS) to address the co-channel interference problem. The pf algorithm for multiple remote units in the DAS has been analysed and two sub-optimal solutions have been proposed, which manage to maximise the subcarrier-wise summation of pf ratio either in a brute-force search manner or in a greedy manner with lower complexity. System-level evaluation shows that the throughput of the cell edge users can indeed be significantly improved, whereas the average throughput of radio units in the proposed schemes also outperforms that in the conventional pf scheme.

In new generation cellular networks, opportunistic schedulers take advantage from the delay-tolerance of data applications to ensure that transmission occurs when radio channel conditions are most favourable. "Proportional Fair" (pf) is a well-known opportunistic scheduler that provides a good compromise between fairness and efficiency when transmitting long flows. Unfortunately, the pf algorithm is not efficient for short transfers, which represent the majority of data flows. Moreover, the lack of coordination between opportunistic scheduling and the congestion control mechanism of TCP induce very poor performance especially for short-lived flows. In this paper, we propose three enhanced scheduling approaches that significantly reduce the transfer time of short flows without a significant degradation of the QoS provided to long flows (which are much less sensitive to response time). The simulation results we present of the proposed mechanisms highlight the large benefits that can be obtained by implementing them.

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) has been discussed as one of major next generation multiple access techniques. Its basic concept is to assign different subcarriers into various users at the same time. Recently, many researches have identified ACK or NACK in automatic repeated request (ARQ) and their information have been transmitted to users in the downlink. However this paper considers each user's state with the scheduling in OFDMA system. The user's status can be considered for the user scheduler through either Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) module or ARQ module.. The simulation results show that channel information transmission through ARQ has better throughput and increases the fairness than channels information transmission through CQI in terms of throughput and fairness.
