This paper deals with the development of automatic solar tracking system to maximize solar energy harvesting. The system tracks by comparing intensity of light falling on two sensors. When the intensity of light falling is decreasing in one of the sensor comparing to another, system is aligned such that both sensors receive same intensity of light. The hardware implementation aims to develop economical maximum friction free system. The system is designed to any environmental forces including wind or any backlash forces, using worm gear mechanism. It can be utilized for applications such as house hold, PV pumping or industrial applications of solar power.

Agriculture plays very vital role in Indian economy. Near about 70% of Indian population directly depends on agriculture. The main aim of this paper is to provide new engineering technology in an agricultural area which enhances farmers life and Indian economy. Irrigation i.e. well-timed and ample amount of water supply is necessary for agriculture to increase its productivity. This paper develops a small embedded system device (ESD) which takes care of a whole irrigation process and makes farmers life easier. The pic18F4550 microcontroller interfaced with GSM module works as a brain and several sensors like temperature, level and rain works as eyes of this ESD. The power detecting circuit and battery backup unit take this ESD to next level by informing presence of three phase power supply in the field. The farmer just needs to send predefined commands through SMS from her/his mobile phone to this ESD to carry out irrigation process effectively. If and only if eyes of the ESD sees all parameters are within a safe range, the pic18F4550 starts irrigation process by starting the irrigation pump. The farmer gets time to time feedback from ESD through SMS about the action that has taken place by pic18F4550. The GSM module allows farmers to operate and monitor a remotely placed irrigation pump from anywhere far from their field. The free SMS facilities provided to farmers makes it more cost effective. There are various technologies available to surveillance the farmland through which the farmer can assess the conditions of the crops. Among all technology the autonomous quadcopter is an efficient, small size and cheaper tool to take farmland images. Autonomous quadcopter is advantageous because of its automatic navigation without human interaction. In this work, the paddy field considered with four predefined coordinates. The sensor circuit is deployed at the four coordinates to measure the water level and moisture condition in the field. Here, Way point GPS navigation algorithm is proposed and it allows the quadcopter to fly on its own with its destination. GPS navigation algorithm were implemented and simulated in Proteus. Camera is interfaced with quadcopter to capture the images and that images are analyzed through image processing and send the results to farmers mobile using Wi-Fi.

Smart Helmet for Safe Driving with Speed Restrictions is a concept chosen to boost the amount of road safety amongst motorcyclists. Several countries like India and Malaysia are imposing regulations to compulsorily wear helmets while driving motorcycles. The concept is obtained as the increasing number of deadly road accidents and deaths became a cause for concern among motorcyclists. Here, the Smart Helmet Mechanism consists of a microcontroller, which is continuously monitoring the status of the various sensors connected to it. The sensors are used to observe whether the individual is wearing the helmet in the right manner. This entity requires two sensors. One is placed at the top of the helmet and the other is placed at the clip lock. The output of the two sensors will be further sent to the transmitter section and this transmitter section will further send output to the receiver section. The receiver section is interfaced to the microcontroller, and it is further attached to the motor of the vehicle. Depending upon the outputs, the transmitter sends information to the receiver where the microcontroller will provide speed restrictions. According to the AND Gate logic, if the microcontroller detects output as 1, then there will be no speed restrictions. But if the microcontroller detects output as 0, then it will limit the sneed to 25kmnh. © 2023 IEEE.

The motivation of the projected work is to design and development of the smart wrist watch which indicates the oxygen saturation(SpO2), temperature of the body along with real time clock and calorie burn calculator also able to keep a record of all these parameters which can be stored in personal computer. This database can be useful to physician for health diagnosis. The system has very small size and low cost. Now a days, every person is suspicious about their health, so this watch gives the real time indications of above parameters. This paper presents a reliable, effectual system which has a great impact on human body. According to the indications of body parameters on watch, people can adjust the temperature of body by drinking the water. Also if the level of oxygen decreases in the blood, human can go to the highly oxygenated area. It can show the daily calorie burn in the body as per the exercise. This device is very useful for those who are working in busy schedule or those who are giving less time to their health. In this proposed work, a genuine effort has been completed to design and development of the smaller size smart wrist watch.

In this paper, the development of an autonomous system for the monitoring and supervision of the power line poles is presented. It is a new approach to the use of Industrial Internet of Things technologies in a practical and significant way in the system of smart control systems. The subject of research is the supervision and monitoring of the angle of slope and microclimate using Industrial Internet of Things technology and smart sensor nodes. The system is based on: a group of built-in sensors (environmental: BME280, BH1750, and ADXL345 3-axis accelerometer), a microcontroller with a peripheral interface (pic) as a core of low levels of the system, a server system and a wireless Internet using the Global System of Mobile Telecommunications (GSM) module with General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) as a communication protocol.

Remote experimentation and control have led researchers to develop new technologies as well as implement existing techniques. The multidisciplinary nature of research in electromechanical systems has led to the synergy of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science. This work describes the design of a model of a Gantry Mechanism, which maneuvers a web-cam. The user controls virtually the position of end-effecter of the Gantry Mechanism using a Graphical User Interface. The GUI is accessed over the Internet. In order to reduce the unbalanced vibrations of the Gantry Mechanism, we investigate the development of an algorithm of input shaping. A model of the Gantry Mechanism is built, and it is controlled over the Internet to view experimentation of the SCARA Robot. The system performance is studied by comparing the inputs such as distances and angles with outputs, and methods to improve the performance are suggested.
