The environment changes like increase in moisture level, humidity, fall in temperature and everyday changes in the voltage levels leads to the generation of fault current. This high value of fault current has to be monitored continuously. The need for a monitoring and alert system is to protect the electronic device. A proper grounding for equipment is must if not it leads to the induction of fault current. This fault current has a larger probability in providing a proper zero resistance path this leakage current. also provides safety to both humans as well as machines. This device is specifically designed for ATM system across the country, is capable of measuring the earth-neutral voltage up to 10 volts. When there occurs any isolation in the voltage levels due to the above mentioned changes, this microcontroller based alert system sends information to the authorised person through SMS and E-MAIL. As this device is not connected with the main system any surges in the ATM will not affect this device and has the ability to disconnect the device from fault in emergency cases.

Wireless sensor Network based automated irrigation system for optimize water use for agricultural purpose. The system consists of distributed wireless sensor network of soli-moisture, and temperature sensors placed in the crop field. To handle the sensor information Zig bee protocol used and control the water quantity programming using an algorithm with threshold values of the sensors to a microcontroller for irrigation system. The system has powered by solar panel and Cellular-internet interface for data inspection. A wireless camera is fixed in crop field to monitor the disease area using image processing technique. The system is low cost and energy autonomy useful in water limited geographically isolated areas.

This paper suggests an idea of a system based on gesture detection which can be helpful for the patients. The pre-defined actions made by the patients can be translated through an embedded system which can be used to communicate with the medical staff. The proposed system is useful in improving the communication between the patient and the medical staff which reduces the burden on them. Gesture recognition can be achieved by eliminating unwanted background, non-gesture hand motions and by using proper illumination. Here we detect the hand by determining its canter, then we analyze the deviations in the finger's location, and finally recognize the gesture.

In most developing countries like Nigeria, the demand for electrical energy outweighs the supply. Negative economic and environmental impacts are also associated with its generation, transmission and consumption. As a result there is need for the available energy to be efficiently managed. This project designed and implemented a microcontroller based energy saver and management system. The design of the energy saver and management system was aimed at coordinating the manner of use of electrical appliances, thereby reducing energy consumption in electrical appliances (such as fan and light) and devising a means of reducing the need for human intervention in the control of electrical appliances in a residential building. The project consists of a pic microcontroller that utilizes a PIR sensor to detect occupants' presence in the building;it also has a light intensity detection unit used to determine the level of ambient lighting as well as a temperature sensor to determine ambient temperature. The control signal from the microcontroller was used to operate the load driver circuit to switch the appliances on or off. The results show that the designed system can reduce the level of energy consumption effectively and efficiently.

This paper presents a smart charge controller (SCC) that can extract maximum power from solar panel and could make instant decision to protect the system. In the same time the designed controller can control high voltage disconnect (HVD)-reconnect, and low voltage disconnect (LVD)-reconnect. An improved maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is achieved through a Peripheral interface controller (pic) based Perturb and Observe (P& O) algorithm. Additionally, light emitting diode (LED) used as indicator and a display is featured to show the system status. A blue-tooth device is used to work it as a data logger to monitor system status by smart phone or Laptop. Furthermore, this SCC is developed to increase the efficiency with low cost. Experimented highest efficiency 99% is recorded within the cost of BDT 2050 taka only.

This paper aims to implement an economic bus transport system for students especially in developing countries like India where the dependence on public transportation is high. The hardware prototype is designed to simulate DC motor for the bus engine. As a cautionary and complementary provision, three other subsystems have been added to work simultaneously in unison. The automatic door open/close system acts after a passenger boards or exits the vehicle. To reduce the overload, an automatic passenger counting system is installed, and also an ultrasonic sensor in the front to avoid accidents and ensuring the vehicle only remains at optimum proximity.

This paper presents miniature hardware model of 6 pulse controlled rectifier circuit for a monopolar HVDC link. The Controlled rectifier is interfaced with pic (16F72) microcontroller for generating various firing angles. The results of output voltage are recorded using digital oscilloscope and are compared with the theoretical values at different firing angles. Performance analysis parameters such as voltage ripple, ripple percentage, harmonics with and without low pass filter for R and RL load is obtained by varying the firing angle. Results show that the ripple factor and ripple percentage has drastically reduced with the addition of the low pass filter and also smoothens the DC output voltage which were observed in digital oscilloscope. There has been a reduction of 92% ripple for R load and 60% for RL load (for firing angle alpha = 90 degrees).

The emerging era of image processing has spread its wings in human life to the extent that image has become an integral part of their life. There are various applications of image processing in the field of e-commerce, engineering, graphics design, journalism, architecture, and historical research. In this research work, image processing is considered for the detection of weed present in chilli farm. The proposed system is an innovative method to detect and spray the herbicides on weeds present in the farm field. Weed present in the area reduces the quantity and quality of the crops and reduces the profit of the farmers. Agriculture is the main income source in India, and nearly 70% of Indians are dependent on the agriculture and related industry. In India, 349 million acres of the area is under cultivation. India is the top seventh net exporting nation across the globe in agricultural goods;thus agriculture plays a key role in Indian Economics. Agriculture is a backbone of human life. We have implemented image processing based technique using MATLAB to detect the weed areas in an image of farm fields. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2020.

This paper deals with the monitoring of joint diseases status under the influence of high frequency electrical signals. The response of the system for applied electrical signal was acquired, processed and displayed using four surface electrodes, Bio signal amplifier, Analogue to digital converter and pic microcontroller. The electrical property of the tissue alters whenever the tissue surface is applied with any external electrical energy at very high frequency in the range of kHz. These electrical conductivity changes vary with healthy joint and disease affected joints. On the basis of changes in the electrical conductivity changes under the existence of high frequency signal a non invasive system has been implemented to monitor the disease status. The conductivity changes were monitored in terms of voltage drop across the joint region. Based on the voltage value varying from 1V to 3V and its corresponding impedance value joint diseases were diagnosed. During the proposed research microcontroller was utilized for processing and displaying real time voltage signal acquired from knee joint surface using metal surface electrodes. These displayed real time voltage values were stored in local PC using microcontroller and MAX-232 IC for serial communication.

This paper proposes a scalable and efficient firmware-over-the-air (FOTA) updating architecture that reliably enables the simultaneous remote mass deployment of new firmware versions on Industry 4.0 machines. The architecture comprises remotely interconnected software and hardware systems for providing firmware mass deployment employing Wi-Fi and LoRa technologies. A custom bootloader for Microchip 8-bit and 32-bit pic microcontrollers has been developed to support remote FOTA operations. Cloud Web, Flutter mobile, and desktop applications are developed with a cloud server to provide remote FOTA operations. A simulation using cloud Web and Flutter mobile applications proves identical results according to the proposed architecture. Experimental work was performed on a Microchip pic pic18F4431 development board, and the results showed a significant match to the conducted simulation.
