Three optimization models were proposed according to the problems emerged from self-propelled model test. And the object function to evaluated acoustic positioning's precision of some given receiver's arrays was created. The genetic algorithm code to solve this optimization problem was developed and validated by optimization model 1 afterwards. The optimum arrangements for model 1 and model 3 were acquired by calculating such code. The cross arrays was certificated to be the optimum ones. One new method to arrange acoustic receivers in self-propelled model test was drafted.

With the aid of double-controller design concept and particle swarm optimization (pso) algorithm, an internal model control (IMC) scheme with two-degree-of-freedom (TDFIMC) based on pso algorithm (pso-TDF-IMC) is proposed, which is capable of controlling large time-delay processes. This method takes integral time absolute error (ITAE) index as objective function and uses pso algorithm to optimize IMC filter time constants. Simulation results show that the presented pso-TDF-IMC scheme has such advantages as simplicity for algorithm, fast searching speed and high efficiency, which can greatly improve the performance and robustness of TDF-IMC controller.

The job scheduling technology is an effective way to achieve resource sharing and to improve computational efficiency. Scheduling problem has been proved to be NP-complete problems, Particle Swarm Optimization (pso) algorithm has demonstrated outstanding performance in solving such issues. In cognizance of the characteristics of cluster scheduling problem, a schedule strategy based on pso was designed and implemented. Comparing with backfilling algorithm, pso algorithm can improve the fairness of jobs better. It can avoid the problem that bigger jobs can't be executed quickly. The speed and accuracy of strategy generation are improved significantly. The experiment results show that the scheduling strategy based on pso algorithm can increase the utilization of the CPU and reduce average response time significantly.

In this paper a novel model for analyzing the transient state of the distribution transformers is proposed. The presented model is as simple that the simulation process can be conducted so fast and easy and also its application in the form of a two port element in power network is possible. By considering the complexity of the analytical methods, Particles Swarm Optimization (pso) algorithm is applied for estimation of the parameters of the transient model of the transformers. In order to do that, related tests were performed on a 2.5 MVA and 6300/420 V distribution transformers, after that, the desired parameters were estimated by the implemented pso algorithm. Finally, by comparing the experimental and the estimated values, the reliability of the pso algorithm in this case was evaluated. Also, a comparison between the obtained values in this research and the results of Genetic algorithm (GA) and the analytical method were carried out. The result reveals the more capabilities and accuracies of the pso algorithm.

Electrostatic plates (or electrostatic rings) which are mounted on both ends of the windings, is to shield electric field of the winding end, and to improve voltage distribution under the impulse voltage. The existing literature for the optimization of the electrostatic plate structure mostly takes the surface maximum field stress, rather than the overall insulation margin as the optimization target. The value of the allowable stress used in the transformer insulation design is closely related to the stress oil volume (or the size of the oil gap), so reducing its surface maximum field stress does not necessarily improve the overall insulation margin. That is to say taking the surface maximum field strength as the optimization target only satisfies the local insulation requirements. In this paper, the structure of the electrostatic plates which was used in UHV converter transformer plate was optimized with particle swarm optimization (pso) algorithm. The optimization target was to homogenize insulation margin of oil ducts adjacent to electrostatic plates, maximize the overall insulation margin.

In this paper, particle swarm optimization (pso) algorithm is presented to optimize the five-effect evaporator system in a cane sugar production plants and realize the minimum loss of energy. Generally, the energy optimization of five-effect evaporator system is a so complex that can not be found a effective algrithm to resolve. The energy optimization of five-effect evaporator system requires considering various parameter criteria so as to meet the requirements of the production process. Hence, a energy optimization model of five-effect evaporator system is proposed. We tested the presented model and pso algorithm at a cane sugar production plant in Guangxi province so as to support the application of industry. The results of the empirical study show that the energy optimization of five-effect evaporation in cane sugar production plants based on a pso algorithm is feasible and effective.

Using particle swarm optimization (pso) algorithm to evolve an optimum input subset for a SVM is proposed. Binary pso algorithm is employed in feature selection, in which each particle represented as a binary vector corresponds to a candidate input subset. A swarm of particles flies through the input set space for targeting the optimal subset. In order to evaluate the reasonable fitness of each input subset, pso algorithm is used to adaptively evolve SVM to obtain the best performance of network, in which each particle represented as a real vector corresponds to the candidate kernel parameters Of SVM. This method has been applied in a real financial time series forecasting, the results show that it has better performance of generalization, and higher rate of convergence.

Designing of stable time optimal path for bipeds is one of the main issues in motion of bipeds. Motion parameters such as participation of motion phases and the distance between hip joint and ankle joint of support leg at the beginning and the end of the single support phase, have important effect in designing of time optimal path. In this paper the effect of these two motion parameters on time optimal path is discussed. At first, time optimal path is designed by particle swarm optimization algorithm considering definite participation of double support phase and actuators torque limitation. To ensure Stability, motion of a biped needs to follow specific pattern to comply with certain stability criterion such as zero moment point. Then the effect of double support phase on time optimal path and torque limitation on participation of the double support phase which satisfies time optimal path are studied. Finally effect of distance between hip joint and ankle joint of support leg at the beginning and the end of the single support phase on time optimal path is investigated.

Linear PID controller is adopted by electro-hydraulic servo system widely. The proportional, integral and derivative coefficients of a linear controller are fixed which brings the contradiction in speediness and overshoot. This paper designs a series of nonlinear functions which are used for nonlinear PID control for electro-hydraulic servo system. The proportional, integral and derivative parts of this nonlinear PID controller adjust themselves according to the error. In order to determine parameters of the nonlinear functions, pso algorithm and ITAE guideline are applied in the paper. Results of simulation indicate that the nonlinear pso-PID controller using the functions proposed in this paper presents a better dynamic response than the linear PID controller.
