Key classes are the most important classes of an object-oriented software system. They are usually described in project documentations or executive summaries representing the backbone of the software system. Key classes are vital in software reengineering tasks especially in the context where poor or no documentation is maintained with the project. Thus, detecting key classes becomes an important issue. Several methods for key classes detection were reported: static code analysis, dynamic code analysis, machine learning. In a static code analysis approach the model of a weighted graph is used to represent the relations between classes like: inheritance, interface realization, field usage, return type usage etc. On the weighted graph model we run a link analysis algorithm to rank the classes in their order of importance, thus detecting the top 20 most important ones. We intend to assess the importance of class relations by generating all possible weights combinations of 0 and 1 for each class relation in the weighted graph construction. We experiment our approach on 14 analyzed systems of different sizes regarding the number of classes and from domains like: games, web servers, utilities, etc.

Identifying the greatest team and captain-A complex network approach to cricket matches

We consider all Test matches played between 1877 and 2010 and One Day International (ODI) matches played between 1971 and 2010. We form directed and weighted networks of teams and also of their captains. The success of a team (or captain) is determined by the 'quality' of the wins, not simply by the number of wins. We apply the diffusion-based pagerank algorithm to the networks to assess the importance of the wins, and rank the respective teams and captains. Our analysis identifies Australia as the best team in both forms of cricket, Test and ODI. Steve Waugh is identified as the best captain in Test cricket and Ricky Panting is the best captain in the ODI format. We also compare our ranking scheme with an existing ranking scheme, the Reliance ICC ranking. Our method does not depend on 'external' criteria in the ranking of teams (captains). The purpose of this paper is to introduce a revised ranking of cricket teams and to quantify the success of the captains. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Comparative Study on Chinese and Global OLED Industry Based on Patent Data

Against the background of intelligent manufacturing, the development of chip technology has been widely discussed by scholars. The Chinese chip industry is constantly hit upon in the international background, and the reasons behind this exploration are particularly important for the future development of chip technology in the country. To solve this problem, the paper chooses to study the typical OLED technology in the chip industry. This paper uses 14979 patent data of OLED technology, from 1900 to 2017, as the research object. Data are taken from the global patent statistics database (PATSTAT). From the perspective of the annual application numbers and main research content, it is concluded that Chinese OLED technology has been a late starter, with companies mainly choosing the road of importing equipment OLED technology lacks specific direction in view of the mastered technical patents, and the related technology is mostly in the peripheral activities. Therefore, OLED technology cannot enter the core area of this field. In this paper, the leading technology identification model, based on a pagerank algorithm, is used to identify the leading technology in the global and domestic OLED patents, and we compare the patents' holders. It is concluded that the Chinese OLED industry cannot occupy a favorable position on the international stage;some research institutes in China have R&D ability, but they lack production facilities. The development of industrialization restricts the sustainable development of related technologies. In view of the above results, this paper provides suggestions from the perspective of researchers, related enterprises, and government and patent protection agencies, in order to promote the development of the Chinese OLED industry and to play a referential role in the growth of China's chip industry.

Despite their legal protection status, protected areas (PAs) can benefit from priority ranks when ongoing threats to their biodiversity and habitats outpace the financial resources available for their conservation. It is essential to develop methods to prioritize PAs that are not computationally demanding in order to suit stakeholders in developing countries where technical and financial resources are limited. We used expert knowledge-derived biodiversity measures to generate individual and aggregate priority ranks of 98 mostly terrestrial PAs on Madagascar. The five variables used were state of knowledge (SoK), forest loss, forest loss acceleration, PA size and relative species diversity, estimated by using standardized residuals from negative binomial models of SoK regressed onto species diversity. We compared our aggregate ranks generated using unweighted averages and principal component analysis (PCA) applied to each individual variable with those generated via Markov chain (MC) and pagerank algorithms. SoK significantly affected the measure of species diversity and highlighted areas where more research effort was needed. The unweighted- and PCA-derived ranks were strongly correlated, as were the MC and pagerank ranks. However, the former two were weakly correlated with the latter two. We recommend using these methods simultaneously in order to provide decision-makers with the flexibility to prioritize those PAs in need of additional research and conservation efforts.

Hesitant fuzzy multi-attribute group decision making method based on weighted power operators in social network and their application

This paper aims to put forward a hesitant fuzzy multi-attribute group decision making (MAGDM) method based on the weighted power aggregation operators in social network. From the point of view of social network analysis, decision makers (DMs) are interconnected in the process of MAGDM. Furthermore, the dimension of the obtained hesitant fuzzy element (HFE) by original power operators will be greater with the increasing number of attributes and alternatives and DMs, which will lead to the problem of "intermediate expression swell". This paper combines the order operation laws with the power operators to redefine two novel hesitant fuzzy power aggregation operators to simplify the involved calculation and explore new operators' properties. Meanwhile, when two given elements have different number of values, we use the strength of social ties and social influence to develop an algorithm for extending the HFEs objectively. On the other hand, the pagerank algorithm and the deviation method are used to determine DMs' combined weights. The feasibility of the proposed hesitant fuzzy MAGDM method based on social network is illustrated by the application to the actual issue of decision making and the comparative analysis with the existing method.

Precise Push Study of Sci-tech Journals Based on Knowledge Graph Reasoning

To effectively promote the efficient dissemination of sci-tech journals and improve the influence of sci-tech journals, a precise push method of sci-tech journals based on knowledge graph reasoning is proposed, using knowledge graph to build network to realize push reasoning of scientific and Technological Journals. Based on the one-way author relationship network diagram and the two-way keyword network diagram, the pagerank algorithm is used to calculate the weight of network vertices, quantitatively and accurately identify the research direction of push customers and predict customers, and realize the accurate push management of content, so as to obtain the basis for the construction of network diagram. Based on the previous article in the Journal of the information society of science and technology of China, this paper constructs a knowledge reasoning diagram, mines 52 co-author cases and 60 related papers as experimental data, and verifies the progressiveness method through customer value. According to the network diagram, the progressiveness of this method is verified. The experimental results show that the knowledge map network reasoning method proposed in this paper has high accuracy in identifying the push objects of scientific and technological journals and accurately predicting the research direction. The matching degree between the number of customers and the pushed content. Using knowledge map network can ensure the timeliness and accuracy of pushing scientific and technological journals.

Identifying the spatial distribution of public transportation trips by node and community characteristics

Identifying the spatial distribution of travel activities can help public transportation managers optimize the allocation of resources. In this paper, transit networks are constructed based on traffic flow data rather than network topologies. The pagerank algorithm and community detection method are combined to identify the spatial distribution of public transportation trips. The structural centrality and pagerank values are compared to identify hub stations;the community detection method is applied to reveal the community structures. A case study in Guangzhou, China is presented. It is found that the bus network has a community structure, significant weekday commuting and small-world characteristics. The metro network is tightly connected, highly loaded, and has no obvious community structure. Hub stations show distinct differences in terms of volume and weekend/weekday usage. The results imply that the proposed method can be used to identify the spatial distribution of urban public transportation and provide a new study perspective.

Cointegration analysis and influence rank-A network approach to global stock markets

In this paper, cointegration relationships among 26 global stock market indices over the periods of sub-prime and European debt crisis and their influence rank are investigated by constructing and analyzing directed and weighted cointegration networks. The obtained results are shown as follows: the crises have changed cointegration relationships among stock market indices, their cointegration relationship increased after the Lehman Brothers collapse, while the degree of cointegration gradually decreased from the sub-prime to European debt crisis. The influence of US, Japan and China market indices are entirely distinguished over different periods. Before European debt crisis US stock market is a 'global factor' which leads the developed and emerging markets, while the influence of US stock market decreased evidently during the European debt crisis. Before sub-prime crisis, there is no significant evidence to show that other stock markets co-move with China stock market, while it becomes more integrated with other markets during the sub-prime and European debt crisis. Among developed and emerging stock markets, the developed stock markets lead the world stock markets before European debt crisis, while due to the shock of sub-prime and European debt crisis, their influences decreased and emerging stock markets replaced them to lead global stock markets. Online weight design for distributed filtering with limited power

In this study, the authors consider distributed estimation over a sensor network with limited power. Based on pagerank algorithm, they propose a distributed estimator, where the link weight is designed using online information. They compared the network performance of the proposed estimator with time-varying weight and constant weight under identical initial conditions. To extend the lifetime of sensors, they introduce an online power scheduling method to distributed estimation problem, where each sensor allocates the power for the communication link based on real-time estimation error. They also provide a sufficient condition to guarantee the stability of the networked system with power scheduling.

As one of the most successful recommendation techniques, collaborative filtering provides a useful recommendation by associating an active user with a crowd of users who share the same interests. Although some achievements have been achieved both in theory and practice, the efficiency of recommender systems has been negatively affected by the problems of cold start and data sparsity recently. To solve the above problems, the trust relationship among users is employed into recommender systems to build a learning model to further promote the prediction quality and users' satisfaction. However, most of the existing social networks-based recommendation algorithms fail to take into account the fact that users with different levels of trust and backgrounds, that is, user's social status and homophily have different degrees of influence on their friends. In this paper, a novel social matrix factorization-based recommendation method is proposed to improve the recommendation quality by fusing user's social status and homophily. User's social status and homophily play important roles in improving the performance of recommender systems. We first build a user's trust relationship network based on user social relationships and the rating information. Then, the degree of trust is calculated through the trust propagation method and the pagerank algorithm. Finally, the trust relationship is integrated into the matrix factorization model to accurately predict unknown ratings. The proposed method is evaluated using real-life datasets including the Epinions and Douban datasets. The experimental results and comparisons demonstrate that the proposed approach is superior to the existing social networks-based recommendation algorithms.
