In order to position, the algorithms of three satellites and two is designed when the equation groups constituted by received satellite signals can't be solved by traditional algorithm in no light of sky. The equation groups are constituted by received signal equations and earth ellipsoid equation. The equation groups are linearized with firstorder Taylor series, and the location result was solved by Gauss-Newton iterative algorithm. The measurement results based on this new algorithm were analyzed in this paper and it perfectly shows that the three satellites positioning is a good supplement to the conventional location, and the Two Satellites positioning is a useful reference when there are no enough satellites that can be received.

Time-of-arrival(TOA) is a range-based positioning method with high positioning precision. However, TOA-based methods require strict time synchronization between nodes, which puts forward high requirements on the hardware and power consumption of sensor nodes. For the high cost hardware problem of TOA-based methods, we propose a TOA-based iterative algorithm(i TOA) that can be applied to the wireless system under the condition of low time synchronization precision to achieve high positioning precision. Without the restriction of strict time synchronization, i TOA can reduce the difficulty of hardware implementation. i TOA eliminates the time synchronization error via iteration and minimizes the non-lineof-sight propagation error by using the weighted least square method at the same time. Moreover, iT OA can be applied to the network with changing beacons. The simulation results show that the average positioning precision improves at least 27.2% and 38.3% compared to CCTG and LOP, respectively. As the time synchronization precision decreases, the positioning precision improvement is more obvious compared to CCTG and LOP. For a low time synchronization precision system, the positioning error of i TOA is almost 99.99% less than both CCTG and LOP.

According to the characteristics of the GPS receiver,this paper introduces an improved GPS positioning system filtering algorithm. Firstly,this paper establishes the state equation of the system according to the motor carrier's "current" statistical model,and then we establishes the measurement equation of the system based on the characteristics that GPS receiver can output the location and speed information,and lastly we get a standard Kalman filter algorithm model and a detailed description of the derivation of the algorithm. algorithm simulation results show that the improved algorithm can greatly improve accuracy.

The Internet of Things (IoT) provides technical solutions for monitoring assets in facility layouts, and this is further strengthened by the development of sophisticated software tools for intralogistics operations. The present research provides a taxonomy for the existing tracking technologies and a comparison matrix for supporting decision making when selecting the most suitable technology for real-time tracking in indoor areas. Although numerous tracking technologies exist, ultra-wideband (UWB) technology has gained significant attention in recent years due to its exceptional positioning accuracy and its ability to operate effectively in challenging environments with numerous obstacles, even under non-line-of-sight (NLOS) conditions. Specifically, this research focuses on a real-time location system (RTLS) that is designed and implemented to monitor assets based on UWB technology. Additionally, a new algorithm is introduced to reduce localization errors by attempting to exclude NLOS measurements from the tag's position calculations. The experiments showcased that the proposed algorithm improves the overall positioning error by 24%, reporting an RMSE of 0.124 m in comparison to the 0.163 m of the normal trilateration method. The experimental results highlight the efficiency of the proposed solution for fast and accurate localization and tracking in real-world environments.

Design of multi-antenna RFID passive bolt loosening fault location system based on the Internet of Things

Bolt connections are the most common form of connection in hydroelectric generator units. The manhole of spiral case in hydroelectric generator unit is highly susceptible to loosening and fatigue of the bolts due to long-term exposure to hydraulic vibrations, which can lead to bolt breakage and pose significant safety risks. To address the issue of bolt loosening fault localization in the manhole of spiral case in hydroelectric generator unit, a passive bolt loosening fault localization system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and multi-antenna radio frequency identification (RFID) is designed. First, a tag identification model for multi-antenna RFID is developed, and an optimization control scheme for the multi-antenna system is proposed. Second, an improved virtual reference elimination (VIRE) algorithm for bolt loosening fault localization is proposed, integrating cubic spline interpolation and dynamic threshold (Th). The positioning accuracy of the algorithm is verified by modifying simulation parameters. Finally, a passive bolt loosening fault localization hardware system using multi-antenna RFID is constructed, and upper and lower machine testing programs are developed to achieve precise fault localization of the bolt loosening using the multi-antenna system. Experimental results demonstrate that the IoT-based multi-antenna RFID passive bolt loosening fault localization system can achieve rapid and stable detection of bolt loosening faults. The positioning accuracy of the proposed improved VIRE algorithm is enhanced by 99.15% and 30.95% compared to the LANDMARC and VIRE algorithms, respectively. This system offers a novel approach for the localization of bolt loosening faults in the manhole of spiral case of hydroelectric generator unit under complex operating conditions.

PurposeThe performance of detectors is key for a PET scanner to achieve high spatial resolution and high sensitivity. This work aims to develop flood histogram generating algorithms to reduce the edge effect and improve the crystal identification of a PET detector consisting of two optically coupled pixelated scintillator *** PET detector consists of two optically coupled detectors, each consisting of a 23x23 LYSO crystal array with a crystal size of 1.0x1.0x20 mm3 read out by an 8x8 SiPM array with a pixel size of 3.0x3.0 mm2. The SiPM array is read out with a resistor network circuit to obtain four position encoding energy signals. A novel center of gravity (COG) positioning algorithm using six signals from the two detectors was proposed and compared to the traditional COG algorithms using either four or eight signals from the detectors. The raised-to-the-power (RTP) method was applied to the three COG algorithms for the PET detector. Different powers of the RTP from 1.0 to 2.5 were *** proposed COG algorithm significantly improves the crystal identification at the junction of the two detectors as compared to the COG algorithm using four signals of each detector, and improves the crystal identification at the center of the two detectors as compared to the COG algorithm using eight signals from both detectors. Based on wireless sensor network(WSN) and the moving characteristics of airport passengers, this paper presents an improved WSN algorithm for airport passenger positioning. M first, this research bases on wireless sensor network. Then, the improved WSN algorithm is optimized and solved. Finally, the simulation data of airport passengers is tested. The result shows that the algorithm is superior to traditional. It has more accurate positioning, can meet the need of positioning for public places with high passenger flow rate like airports, and thus is of practical value.

An Improved Position Determination algorithm Based on Nonlinear Compensation for Ground-Based positioning Systems

In the absence of GNSS or when signals from satellites are blocked in harsh environments, a ground-based positioning system can be used to estimate the position of users and receivers. Nevertheless, ground-based systems suffer dramatic nonlinear error resulting from the linearization used in typical positioning algorithms. Robust positioning algorithms that are capable of handling strong nonlinearity cases are therefore of great value. In this paper, we propose an algorithm termed promoted iterative least-squares based on nonlinear-compensation (PILSBON) to effectively alleviate the influence of nonlinear effects. This algorithm is based on the accurate expression of the nonlinear error terms in the double-differenced pseudorange measurement model. In order to eliminate the effects of nonlinearity for targeted solutions, the PILSBON uses iterative numerical estimation to compensate for nonlinear error so that the nonlinear position determination is transformed into a linear model, which can then be estimated with a linear estimation algorithm. In this paper, we analyze the properties of the PILSBON and compare it to conventional solutions. Because of its specific strategy for nonlinearity, our results show that the PILSBON improves the overall accuracy by approximately 30% compared with conventional solutions according to statistic RMSE data from over 500 experiments and positions. Moreover, by deploying a practical ground-based positioning system with six transmitters on the rooftop of our laboratory building, we demonstrate that the PILSBON algorithm can be efficiently employed in real-world experiments.

Uniformity measurements and new positioning algorithms for wavelength-shifting fiber neutron detectors

Wavelength-shifting (WLS) fiber scintillator detectors were successfully installed at two neutron powder diffractometers at the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS). However, they have the following second-order disadvantages: (i) they cannot have both high efficiency and images free of ghosting (position misassignment) concurrently;(ii) the apparent detection efficiency and spatial resolution are not uniform. These issues are related to the diffusion of scintillation photons and the fluctuation in the number of photons (quantum noise) collected by photo-multiplier tubes (PMTs). To mitigate these two issues, we developed two statistics-based positioning algorithms. i.e., a centroid algorithm (CEA) and a correlation algorithm (CA). Compared with the generally used maximum-photon algorithm (MPA), the CEA eliminates the ghosting with only about a 10% loss in detection efficiency, and provides better uniformity in detection efficiency and intrinsic background and lower gamma-ray sensitivity. The CA can effectively eliminate ghosting too, but the loss of efficiency at the group boundaries of PMTs is large. The results indicate that both algorithms can reduce the influence of quantum noise on the neutron positioning. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

This paper proposes a Improved positioning algorithm of electrical partial discharge applied for substations. This algorithm is based on received signal strength indication, and taken practical condition of sensors into consideration by replenishing beacon nodes. Compared with traditional trilateral weighting positioning algorithm, this paper introduces indefinite amount of localization perpendicular lines and combined them with trilateral districts to calculate the weighting result, which can reduce error. This model meets the requirement of reality that the height of electrical discharge spots differentiate from the height of the plane formed by beacon nodes (signal sensors). The experimental result indicates that the revised position model proposed by this paper can effectively fit the condition of monitoring hardware. Error of this algorithm is less than that of traditional trilateral localization.
