This paper focuses on pre-coding schemes for the downlink of multiple user multi-input multi-output (MU-MIMO) system in cognitive radio (CR) network. The spectrum band can be utilized by allowing a number of cognitive users to coexist with primary users (PUs) through a pre-coding scheme. The capacity problems maximize the sum rate of CUs subject to the interference constraint for PUs and total transmitted power constraint can be solved with high complexity. To simplify the problem, this paper presents two suboptimal pre-coding schemes that pre-cancel the co-channel interference to PUs as well as mitigate interference between cognitive users (CUs). Simulation results show that the two suboptimal algorithms are able to achieve high sum rate throughput with low complexity.

pre-coding type can be grouped into two approaches, unitary or non-unitary for 3GPP Long Term Evolution(LTE). Output SINR of unitary pre-coding for MU-MIMO is investigated in this paper. A more simple method of calculation for SINR is presented, which Leads to the computational complexity down to 18% compared with original method, while calculating MIMO pre-coding system with 4 matrices (i.e. 8 vectors). In addition, we also analyzed the loss of SINR when using unitary or non-unitary pre-coding. Corresponding simulations show that output SINR of non-unitary pre-coding system is inferior to the unitary pre-coding case and such losses can been described using statistical linear approximation.

A transmission scheme which is based on low-density parity-check (LPDC) coding was proposed to improve the reliability of MIMO system. This method is extremely useful when channel conditions are seriously influenced by AWGN in the multiuser MIMO downlinks. There are parallel channels exists between base station (BS) and users, block diagonalization zero-forcing (BD-ZF) algorithm can eliminate interuser interference which is caused by MIMO channels. With these advantages, quasi-cyclic low-density parity-check (QC-LDPC) method was applied in each user and BP decoding algorithm was used at the receiving terminals. These may play a large role in BD-ZF system. Simulations verify analysis conclusions and show that comparing with the single BD-ZF and block diagonalization minimum mean square error (BD-MMSE) algorithm, transmission reliability and bit-error rate (BER) performance for LDPC coded multiuser MIMO downlinks is improved effectively.

Receive Antenna Shift Keying (RASK) is a Spatial Modulation (SM) transmission scheme that has recently been under study because of its low detection complexity and its ability to increase the spectral efficiency when combined with classical IQ modulation schemes. The idea is that the transmitter uses a focusing technique to target one of the receive antennas. The transmitted information is coded depending on the index of the receive antenna that have been targeted. Note that in this case, the sent signal does not contain any information, that's why RASK can be combined with any classical IQ modulation. Different focusing techniques could be used to target a receive antenna. In this study, the Time Reversal preprocessing technique is used at the transmitter side. In this paper, theoretical performance of the Bit Error Rate and of the focusing gain are established for the RASK scheme in a MIMO Line-of-Sight configuration with two receive antennas. Also, a testbed is evaluated and used to provide RASK performance in realistic conditions.

Code division multiplexing (CDM) is an efficient coding scheme without rate loss. The combination of robust and spectrally efficient orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) with CDM results in an orthogonal frequency code division multiplexing (OFCDM) scheme. This paper investigates the potential of OFCDM for future broadband mobile radio schemes such as IMT-Advanced. The focus is on the performance analysis and comparison of OFDM and OFCDM. The investigations take into account channel coding and different spatial diversity and pre-coding schemes like cyclic delay diversity (CDD), spatial phase coding (SPC) and maximum ratio transmission (MRT). The results show that OFCDM outperforms OFDM with respect to bit error rate performance.

A 28 Gb/s source-series-terminated (SST) transmitter in 22 nm CMOS FDSOI technology is presented. A stacked SST driver embedded with a 2-tap feed-forward-equalizer (FFE) is employed for flexible equalization setting, swing controlling and independent impedance tuning. An optimized precoding technology and closable digital impedance calibration loops are adopted and reduce the power dissipation largely. The equalization result exhibits 8.5 ps total jitter (TJ) and 46 mVpp eye-opening at 28 Gb/s over a 23 dB loss channel. At 0.8 V supply, the implemented transmitter consumes 17.3 mW in total.

for achieving high performance at wireless networks, we can use Multiple-Input Multiple-Output systems (MIMO). By using channel information at Base Station or Mobile Station we can remove or mitigate inter-user interference at multi-user MIMO systems. For designing of Mu-MIMO system we must attend to inter-user interference problem which can reduce performance and capacity of systems. capacity optimization, maximizing throughput under power restriction, power control problems or power minimization under satisfying minimum quality of service are some sample of such problem. None of them has closed form unless by applying some restriction at them. In this paper, we solve some of them by using block diagonalization and successive optimization methods with equal & adaptive power allocation methods.

This paper discusses MIMO pre-coding based interference cancellation schemes for 4G networks, which are currently being considered in LTE-A and WiMAX IEEE 802.16m standardization processes. A novel user selection algorithm for inter-cell coordination of MIMO pre-coding is proposed. This is shown to provide a net capacity benefit in the downlink, through simulations based on measured MIMO channel data.

Dirty paper code (DPC) can be used in a number of communication network applications;broadcast channels, multiuser interference channels and ISI channels to name a few. We study various implementation bottlenecks and issues with implementing a DPC pre-coder based on nested trellis technique. The aim is to achieve a practical hardware realization of the pre-coder for wireless LAN/DSL applications. We describe the architectural development process and realization of the pre-coder on a Xilinx Virtex 2V8000 FPGA. To the best of our knowledge this is the first reported DPC pre-coder hardware implementation.

The performance of a multicell large scale antenna system (LSAS) is conveniently characterized by capacity lower-bounds that explicitly account for channel-estimation error, the type of linear spatial multiplexing/de-multiplexing (conjugate beamforming or zero-forcing on the forward link and matched-filtering or zero-forcing on the reverse link), power-control, noncoherent inter-cell interference, and coherent inter-cell interference due to pilot-contamination.
