This article devotes to research the predefined-time adaptive backstepping control problem for hyperchaotic Liu systems with uncertain parameters. Based on the predefined-time stability theory, we propose a fresh adaptive predefined-time controller, which can stabilize the hyperchaotic Liu systems. The proposed control scheme adopts the adaptive technology to estimate the unknown parameters existing in the hyperchaotic Liu systems. Finally, the effective of the devised control scheme is shown in the simulation. Copyright (c) 2024 The Authors.

It is a significant and challenging task to realize the speed control of marine natural gas engines with uncertainty and external disturbances. In this paper, a new speed control strategy based on practical predefined-time stability and nonlinear sliding surface was proposed for marine natural gas engine. Firstly, the nonlinear uncertain engine mathematical model including complex intake dynamics and torque generation dynamics is established. Then, a nonlinear sliding manifold is designed using predefined-time stability theory to improve the tracking performance. In order to reduce response time of engine speed, a novel practical predefined-time reaching law is utilized for controller design. Further, strict theoretical analysis proves the stability of the closed loop system. Finally, in order to further prove the effectiveness and advantages of proposed approach, it was compared with traditional PID and non-singular terminal sliding mode (NTSLI) control in simulation.

This article focuses on the predefined-time adaptive stabilization and the predefined-time synchronization adaptive control problem for Rossler systems. Using the adaptive control approach and the Lyapunov stability theory, we propose a new predefined-time adaptive control scheme which can suppress the chaotic phenomenon and guarantee that the states of the controlled system converge to origin within the predefinedtime. Besides, a predefined-time synchronization adaptive control scheme is designed which can achieve the synchronization for two Rossler systems and guarantee that the synchronization errors converge to origin within the predefined-time. Finally, the numerical simulations are presented.

In this paper, the hypersonic flight vehicle(HFV) is taken as the research object. The problems of tracking control and formation control are studied. A predefined time control method is proposed to ensure the stability of the system in the expected time. Considering the complexity of the model, firstly, the hypersonic flight vehicle model is decoupled. Secondly, the desired value tracking control is realized for a single HFV. Next, on the basis, it is extended to multiple HFVs system to realize formation control. Then, the stability is proved according to Lyapunov stability theory. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control methods is verified by simulation results.

This paper presents a fault-tolerant controller for the attitude tracking problem of hypersonic vehicles, subject to uncertainties, external disturbances within certain bounds, and sudden actuator faults including partial failure, stuck, and constant bias. A control-oriented aerodynamic attitude tracking error model is considered to generate the direct fin deflection commands. The controller is then proposed using predefined-time control technique such that the tracking errors are bounded within a predetermined time. Numerical simulations with application to a hypersonic vehicle model are conducted to validate the effectiveness and robust fault tolerance of the employed controller.

Dynamic-Event-Based predefined-time Secure Formation control for Nonlinear Multiagent Systems Against FDI Attacks

This article studies the problem of dynamic event-triggered (DET) predefined-time secure formation tracking control (FTC) for nonlinear multiagent systems (NMASs) against actuator nonaffine false data injection (FDI) attacks. In contrast to finite/fixed-time control results, this article provides the sufficient conditions for the practically predefined-time stability (PPTS) of the system based on a new differential function, and the convergence time is decoupled to a user-defined parameter independent of the initial values and complex parameter expressions. Applying the differential mean value theorem, the nonaffine FDI attack signal is transformed, and an anti-attack resilient control method is proposed by combining Nussbaum gain technology with intelligent adaptive technology. Moreover, a Zeno free predefined-time dynamic event-triggered mechanism (PTDETM) is proposed, which dynamically adjusts event trigger threshold to ensure the control performance and greatly reduce the communication resource consumption. The predefined-time stability of closed-loop system is demonstrated by combining Lyapunov function (LF) method and the PPTS theory. Finally, the proposed control method is successfully applied to solve the predefined-time secure formation tracking problem of multirobot systems, which verifies the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed control method.

This paper proposes a predefined-time terminal sliding mode prescribed performance control (PTTSMPPC) scheme to address the challenges of bounded external disturbances, model parameter uncertainties, and the uncertainty of traditional stability tracking time in robotic manipulator trajectory tracking control. To mitigate the singularity problem caused by actuator saturation, which often leads to tracking errors exceeding the prescribed performance boundaries in conventional prescribed performance control, an adaptive method for adjusting the performance boundaries is introduced. The novel designed terminal sliding mode surface (TSMS) is continuous and non-singular, ensuring the system's strong robustness and effectively handling external disturbances and model uncertainties. The global stability of the system within the predefined time is rigorously demonstrated based on Lyapunov stability theory. Simulation and experimental results verify that the proposed PTTSMPPC method achieves superior transient performance and steady-state accuracy, confirming its feasibility and effectiveness.

This article presents a fuzzy adaptive tracking control algorithm for hypersonic flight vehicles with input quantization and faults. Different from the usual stabilization results, we present a method to achieve asymptotic tracking with predefined-time performance. An error transformation is established and a modified Lyapunov function (MLF) is constructed. The predefined-time asymptotic tracking control goal can be achieved by simply guaranteeing the boundness of the proposed MLF which is related to the transformed tracking errors. The proposed control strategy has three advantages. First, the predefined-time tracking performance can be ensured even when the initial tracking conditions are completely unknown. Second, no compensation is required for the fuzzy reconstruction errors to achieve accurate tracking control such that the control design is significantly simplified. Third, the derived controller is fault-tolerant, and since the system is controlled by quantized signals, the communication burden can be considerably reduced. Theoretical proof and numerical simulation are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm.

This paper raises a predefined-time event-triggered adaptive tracking controller for nonlinear systems with time delays. To mitigate the effects of time-varying delays, a Lyapunov-Krasovskii function is initially introduced. A set of adaptive laws and virtual controllers with switching functions are designed to avoid singularity phenomena. In addition, the event-triggered mechanism with the switching threshold can effectively conserve communication resources while avoiding the occurrence of Zeno behavior. It is theoretically demonstrated that, under the devised control strategy, the system output successfully tracks the reference signal with negligible tracking error within a specified time. Lastly, the validity of the raised control strategy is demonstrated through examples.
