Observer-Based Secure predefined-time control of Vehicular Platoon Systems Under Attacks in Sensors and Actuators

Sensor and actuator attacks can alter the truth values of vehicle states and control input through false data injection, leading to performance degradation. In this paper, secure control of vehicular platoon control systems (VPCS) subject to joint sensor-actuator attacks, and the unknown disturbances is investigated. First, a novel adaptive sensor fusion algorithm is designed to estimate the actual position with smaller fusion errors. Subsequently, a predefined-time extended state observer (PTESO) is further constructed based on the estimated position to recover the continuous-time states (i.e., velocity and acceleration) and disturbances accurately within a user-defined settling time. Then, a variable exponent predefined-time sliding mode controller (VPTSMC) with few design parameters is developed to guarantee the predefined-time stability of the platoon system, namely string stability and individual vehicle stability. Meanwhile, the singularity phenomenon is also avoided. Finally, a serious of simulations are carried out to show the effectiveness of the suggested control scheme.

Enhanced predefined-time control for Spacecraft Attitude Tracking: A Dynamic Predictive Approach

This study presents a predefined-time control strategy for rigid spacecraft, employing dynamic predictive techniques to achieve robust and precise attitude tracking within predefined time constraints. Advanced predictive algorithms are used to effectively mitigate system uncertainties and environmental disturbances. The main contributions of this work are introducing adaptive global optimization for period updates, which relaxes the original restrictive conditions;ensuring easier parameter adjustments in predefined-time control, providing a nonconservative upper bound on system stability;and developing a continuous, robust control law through terminal sliding mode control and predictive methods. Extensive simulations confirm the control scheme reduces attitude tracking errors to less than 0.01 degrees at steady state, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

In this paper, a predefined -time control strategy based on the command filtered technique is proposed for a class of non -strict feedback nonlinear systems with unmodeled dynamics. Compared with the fixed -time control, the convergence time of predefined -time control is a more accurate and user -designed positive constant. The command filtered backstepping technique is employed to overcome the ultrahigh computation in the traditional backstepping method. The proposed command filter -based predefined -time control scheme can guarantee that convergence of all signals in the closed -loop system reach a small neighborhood within the predefined time. The effectiveness of the developed scheme is demonstrated by two simulation examples.

This article tackles the predefined-time control problem for nonlinear systems subject to preassigned performance metrics (PPMs) and state constraints. To meet the PPMs and state constraints, the preassigned performance control-based barrier Lyapunov functions are designated to acquire the performance metrics and the satisfaction of state constraints. The proposed control approach combines the predefined-time control with the recursive design of command-filter backstepping to achieve the preset convergence time based on designing indicators while also ensuring the satisfaction of the desired PPMs and constraint conditions. In addition, the command-filter design eliminates the requirement of proving the continuity of high-order derivatives of the virtual control signals, resulting in a significant reduction in the complexity of stability analyses related to predefined-time convergence of the closed-loop signals. The stability analyses and simulation results of two examples provide support for the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed command-filter predefined-time control approach.

A predefined-time tracking control is synchronized for three-dimensional time-varying formation of multiple underactuated autonomous underwater vehicles(AUVs) with the effects of hysteresis quantized input, where the upper bound of settling-time is less conservative. An innovative predefined-time tracking differentiators are constructed to estimate the differentiation of the virtual inputs, resolving the adverse effect of explosion of complexity inherent in traditional backstepping method. Then, a predefined-time time-varying formation control law is proposed in the backstepping framework. Rigorous stability analysis can prove that all signals of the closed-loop systems are uniformly ultimately bounded and the formation tracking error can be steered to an arbitrarily small neighborhood of the origin within the predefined time. Simulation results on a group of AUVs validate that the proposed control scheme is capable of ensuring the remarkable performance even under the input quantization.

This article considers the issue of adaptive fuzzy predefined-time control for nonlinear systems. Fuzzy logic systems (FLSs) are introduced to estimate the uncertain nonlinear functions. The command filter technology is applied to overcome the difficulty of "explosion of complexity". The error compensation mechanism is adopted to compensate the error generated via command filter. Based on the backstepping technique, a fuzzy adaptive predefined-time command filter control scheme is presented. The presented control strategy demonstrates that all the signals in closed-loop system are bounded and the tracking error can converge to a small area near zero within predefined time. The simulation results illustrate the validity of the developed control strategy.

Dynamic-surface-based adaptive predefined-time control for nonlinear non-affine switched systems with sensor fault

The adaptive neural tracking fault-tolerant control problem is considered for nonlinear non-affine switched systems with sensor faults via dynamic surface control (DSC) technique under arbitrary switchings within predefined-time interval. During the controller design process, the non-affine formation strictly processed so that the implicit control signals can be transformed into explicit ones. The introduction of hyperbolic tangent function to design the control signal eliminates the singularity at the same time, but also avoids the tedious discussion of the segmentation function to solve the singularity. Considering Lyapunov stability theorem, an adaptive fault tolerant control approach is presented, which means that the settling-time can be programmed by the user practical specification under arbitrary switching, the predefined time boundedness of all closed-loop signals can be ensured, and the influence of sensor faults can be compensated. The effectiveness of the presented method is verified via simulation results.

The predefined-time tracking control problem is addressed for Mars entry vehicle under the influence of uncertainties. Firstly, a predefined-time terminal sliding mode surface (PTTSMS) is designed, thus the fast convergence rate is achieved and the corresponding convergence time given by a single parameter can be presented. Then, based on the designed sliding mode surface, a predefined-time terminal sliding mode control (PTTSMC) scheme is devised to ensure that the sliding variable and tracking error are forced into small domains within a prescribed time. Furthermore, by employing the continuous function into control design process, the undesired chattering phenomenon is eliminated gracefully. By virtue of Lyapunov theorem, the stability of closed-loop system in a preset time is proven. Finally, simulation outcomes confirm the efficiency of developed control approach.

This article investigates the problem of fuzzy adaptive predefined-time terminal sliding mode (TSM) control for a third-order heterogeneous vehicular platoon system with an unknown dead zone. For the purpose of approximating unknown nonlinear functions, fuzzy logic systems (FLSs) are utilized. In addition, the impact of the dead zone on the performance of the control may be lessened by building the dead-zone compensation. A tracking error based on the modified constant time headway policy is built to get rid of the assumption of zero initial spacing and decrease the distance between vehicles at the same time. A unique nonsingular TSM control system is then built using the predefined-time stability criterion;with the help of Lyapunov functions, it is possible to demonstrate both the individual and the string stability of the whole heterogeneous vehicle platoon in a predefined time. Finally, a series of simulations are shown to demonstrate the validity of the proposed results.

Adaptive predefined-time control for liquid-filled flexible spacecraft attitude stabilization during orbit maneuver

A predefined-time attitude stabilization for complex structure spacecraft with liquid sloshing and flexible vibration is investigated under input saturation during orbital maneuver. First, the attitude dynamics model of liquid-filled flexible spacecraft is constructed. Meanwhile, the influence of solar panel vibration and liquid sloshing is treated as a disturbance in the controller design. Next, an adap-tive predefined-time control scheme is proposed by applying sliding mode control theory. A predefined-time convergent sliding surface and reaching law are designed to ensure the predefined-time fast convergence rate. Furthermore, a novel adaptive algorithm is developed to handle the disturbances from liquid sloshing and flexible vibration, ensuring that the system converges to a small neighborhood of the equilibrium. Additionally, a new auxiliary system is constructed to deal with the effects of input saturation.
