Snore related signals (SRS) have been demonstrated to carry important information about the obstruction site and degree in the upper airway of Obstructive Sleep Apnea-Hypopnea Syndrome (OSAHS) patients in recent years. To make this acoustic signal analysis method more accurate and robust, big SRS data processing is inevitable. As an emerging concept and technology, cloud computing has motivated numerous researchers and engineers to exploit applications both in academic and industry field, which could have an ability to implement a huge blue print in biomedical engineering. Considering the security and transferring requirement of biomedical data, we designed a system based on private cloud computing to process SRS. Then we set the comparable experiments of processing a 5-hour audio recording of an OSAHS patient by a personal computer, a server and a private cloud computing system to demonstrate the efficiency of the infrastructure we proposed.

In today's changing world businesses are increasingly relying on private cloud solutions to meet their specific needs, for growth and effectiveness. This research paper explores the realm of cloud computing with a focus on how it offers a customized and tailor-made approach to address the challenges of scalability and operational efficiency. This comparative study examines how private cloud infrastructures empower organizations to adjust their resources based on their requirements. In this paper, we will explore private cloud solutions in-depth, focusing on their ability to meet specific business needs, foster growth, and improve operational efficiency. Beyond the basics, we will also address the challenges faced by businesses in implementing private cloud infrastructures. Through rigorous analysis, real-world case studies, and industry best practices, we identify these challenges and offer innovative strategies to overcome them. In this study, we will also explore load-balancing techniques analyzing strategies for resource optimization and system performance enhancement. While private clouds offer many benefits, organizations need to assess their specific requirements and weigh these advantages against the potential limitations, such as higher initial setup costs and the urgency for in-house expertise for management and maintenance. Many businesses also opt for hybrid cloud solutions, combining elements of both private and public clouds to achieve a balance between control, flexibility, and scalability. Over 41.6 billion IoT devices are expected to come online by 2025, collectively capable of generating 80 zettabytes (ZB) of data. Despite the relentless progress in adoption of smart devices occurring around all us in our smart homes, our wearable devices, our smart cities and workplaces -, progress in the adoption of smart technology in the mining sector has languished. Yet the mining sector powers our energy systems and makes components for smart devices possible, while employing over 4.5 million people world-wide in some of the most extreme & hostile environments. This paper presents the design of a prototype industrial IoT platform for large-scale industrial automation of conventional mines.

Programming tools are important for programmers to develop software. If the developers have a good tool, it can help them develop system faster and more accurate. This paper proposed the Online Code Editor that was created for programmers or developers who want to write programs without any platform requirements or without any specific physical computers. It bases on web application running on the private cloud computing. The features of the editor are performed on web programming languages, e.g. HTML, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript. The editor is able to isolate programming languages by highlighting syntax of programs. Users can create new projects and files, import and export files that they want on a server. Moreover, Save, Auto save, Delete, and etc. are the additional functions of the editor. In this research of the text editor development, the open source software called, "Ace" was used for some functions such as Undo, Redo, and Syntax highlight. The experimental results indicated that the proposed editor can be practically used on private cloud computing. Moreover, the comparison of the features among the proposed editor running on private cloud, Notepad++, and EditPlus which running on personal computers, was summarized.

Reducing the upfront cost of private clouds with clairvoyant virtual machine placement

Although public clouds still occupy the largest portion of the total cloud infrastructure, private clouds are attracting increasing interest from both industry and academia because of their better security and privacy control. According to the existing studies, the high upfront cost is among the most critical challenges associated with private clouds. To reduce cost and improve performance, virtual machine placement (VMP) methods have been extensively investigated;however, few of these methods have focused on private clouds. This paper proposes a heterogeneous and multidimensional clairvoyant dynamic bin-packing model, in which the scheduler can conduct more efficient VMP processes using additional information on the arrival time and duration of virtual machines to reduce the datacenter scale and thereby decrease the upfront cost of private clouds. In addition, a novel branch-and-bound algorithm with a divide-and-conquer strategy (DCBB) is proposed to effectively and efficiently handle the derived problem. One state-of-the-art and several classic VMP methods are also modified to adapt to the proposed model to observe their performance and compare with our proposed algorithm. Extensive experiments are conducted on both real-world and synthetic workloads to evaluate the accuracy and efficiency of the algorithms. The experimental results demonstrate that DCBB delivers near-optimal solutions with a convergence rate that is much faster than those of the other search-based algorithms evaluated. In particular, DCBB yields the optimal solution for a real-world workload with an execution time that is an order of magnitude shorter than that required by the original branch-and-bound algorithm.

the concepts of smart cities and technology have become popular these days because of the internet of things. The presence of smart cities has become a verifiable matter which needs to be studied in detail. The problems of smart cities include crowding due to so many vehicles and the difficulty of getting parking easily, which leads to getting late for work. This paper discusses the smart parking system based on IoT Technology, which consists of the distance measuring devices (sensors) connected to the connectivity device having Wi-Fi. Also, it is a component of a cloud services and a mobile phone application that shows the person the information to find an empty parking. This system can be applied in all college and universities. It can be used in all organization that faced a congestion problem and difficulty in finding car parking that also effected the time and late for work.

cloud computing is usually to address business problems of costly computing infrastructures but nowadays it is considered as a possible alternative to scientific workflow deployment. Therefore, there are only limited cases for scientific and engineering computing in which there are task parallelism closely coupled with high concurrent I/O requirements. To address this issue, this paper developed a new resource management methodology to maximize overall machine utilization levels while minimizing application run time. The key strategy and algorithm in this methodology consist of: (i) a bottom-up architecture that utilizes resources for both servers and clients. (ii) a maximum utilization resource coloration algorithm based on node ability. A prototype system was implemented by incorporating the policies and algorithms mentioned above in cloud computing and Distributed Systems (cloudS) Laboratory. Initial results were obtained by two different cases, by Rotorysics (formerly Propella), a special marine hydrodynamics code for propellers and turbines and by DF_OSFBEM, a panel method code for unsteady 3D multiple-foil hydrodynamics. Results showed that new solution has speeded up total run time up to 50% at the 2nd level -- the higher service ability level. By using the developed methodology and exploration of Computation-as-aService (CaaS), the objective was achieved to accelerate scientific workflow efficiency in private cloud computing platform.

In recent years, State Grid Corporation of China has been vigorously promoting smart grid construction, and cloud computing is developing rapidly. Trend of the electric power enterprise informatization construction will be the private cloud computing, which will become the comprehensive platform of smart grid. Comparing private cloud with public cloud, this paper lists differences between them and puts forward an architecture of private cloud computing to support smart gird, expounds structure of each layer, and presents concept of private cloud computing operating system and network virtualization. It provides the theoretical reference to build the private cloud computing, thus promotes the construction of the smart grid.

cloud computing is an emerging computing technology that enter many fields due to its benefits; which are the high speed in processing as it depends on parallel computing, high storage capacity, and high speed of data transfer. In GIS, when dealing with raster data, the main obstacles are the data size- a characteristic of raster data- and the need for long processing time. By benefiting of cloud computing, GIS raster data model used easily without worrying about its obstacles. This paper highlights the recent researches that relates the integration of GIS and private cloud computing model through studying the published papers related to this area. Our review effort led to that the cloud computing service model in all studies was Platform as a Service (PaaS), studies conducted are in its preliminary stages, and these studies had different point of interest; storage - processing - an attempt to develop a Software as a Service (SaaS) for civil engineering sector.
