In modern industry, data-driven process monitoring systems (PMS), as the initial defense line of industrial control system security, have been widely used in all walks of life. However, the privacy security of the data-driven PMS itself has rarely or never received serious attention. Once the data-driven PMS suffers from intrusion and malicious attacks, it will not only interfere with the normal operation of the industrial control system, but also lead to the disclosure of industrial confidential and privacy information and major economic losses. To handle this issue, this work proposes a novel pioneering study on the inference attack and privacy security problem in the data-driven PMS. Firstly, the potential attack and privacy violation risks of data-driven PMS are investigated. Second, a novel industrial inference attack and privacy security benchmark on data-driven PMS is presented, in which a series of membership inference attack and defense experiments are designed and conducted. Third, we provided a detailed discussion about which member reasoning attacks are the most potential threats to the data-driven PMS and which defense technologies are most suitable for mitigating the attack. The experimental results will provide researchers and practitioners with a new perspective when designing a novel data-driven PMS with more robust and privacy protection performance.

This paper presents a novel process monitoring system to explore and evaluate the potential of real-time sonifications (i.e. non-verbal auditory representations) for supporting awareness of process states and for detecting and resolving critical process situations. Different from established auditory alarms and warnings, our sonifications convey analogue, i.e. continuous information in form of a process-data-driven soundscape that can be easily blended out in favor of a primary task, yet which is designed to attract the user's attention even before things become critical. We argue that a subsymbolic, implicit and rich display connects better to the human sense to establish auditory categories and develop sensitivity to changes within and in between. In consequence, users may profit from prerational automatic information processing mechanisms so that the cognitive resources remain free for another 'primary task'. Our system allows to generate a prototypical process in real-time, and we present it by two novel sonification approaches. It encompasses software components to log user performance on the monitoring task, and to engage the user in a primary task. We discuss our sonification designs and first experiences with test users, and outlook on studies that are planned to be conducted using our system.

Recently, on-line process monitoring systems using sensors are being extensively used to produce high-quality products. However, the difficulty in installing the sensors within the mold in the cases of micro-molds, optical molds, and molds with complex structures is a serious disadvantage of such process monitoring systems. In this study, the quantitative index of a process monitoring system was evaluated with the mold cavity pressure and the nozzle pressure for the injection molding machine. In order to evaluate the effect of the nozzle pressure, we performed correlation analysis for the weight of the molded product. We also examined the control characteristics of the injection molding machine by analyzing the effect of multistage injection speed, holding pressure, and injection pressure limit on the processmonitoring data.

A data-centered architecture for an industrial process monitoring system (PMS) is proposed. In such a system, the elements of graphical user interface (GUI) can be used to simulate the working process of practical devices by their state data, because a change of devices' state will cause some properties of graphic elements to vary. And by operating the graphic elements, the user can first handle the monitoring data, and then operate the devices indirectly since the changed monitoring data will be inputted into the devices, and ensure their control. A configurable platform, which consists of tools such as project manager, GUI developer, system builder, etc., is developed to customize a specific PMS for different types of devices. The procedure of configuring a specific PMS with the platform is detailed. Then, the reconstructing and working process of the specific PMS is described.

The results of reliable and precise measurement of gas composition in different key points of e-beam installation are necessary for its proper operation and control. Only the composition of flue gas coming into installation is adequate to composition of flue gas emitted from coal-fired boiler. At other points of e-b installation the gas composition is strongly modified by process conditions therefore specific measuring system (sampling and conditioning system and set of gas analyzers) for its determination are required. In the paper system for gas composition measurement at inlet and outlet of e-b installation are described. process parameters are continuously monitoring by CEM system and occasionally by the grab sample system. Both system have been tested at pilot plant at EPS Kaweczyn.
