With the maturity of code hardening technology, more and more malicious applications have adopted the reinforcement technology to avoid the detection of anti-virus engines, which brings great challenges for the identification and analysis of malicious code. The paper through an in-depth analysis of common detection avoidance techniques, the technical principle of reinforcement is studied, and a code confusion countermeasure method based on feature comparison is constructed. The method takes the unobfuscated function in the target application as a reference, extracts the target application characteristics by constructing the dependency graph of the program code, and then performs code similarity query in the software gene library system constructed in this paper, and analyzes based on the query result. The code segment is similar or identical to the obfuscated code, and finally restores the confusing variable or string name based on the variable mapping relationship before and after the confusion, thereby achieving effective recovery of the obfuscated code.

This paper has an experimental character. Theoretical backgrounds presented here allow creating a research method. The research focus on analysis of microprocessor voltage supply changes. Such analysis based on the presented research assumptions allowed for a rather high efficiency of decoding program without interference in the internal structure of microprocessor. The obtained results show, that there is a possibility of uncontrolled access to program codes. Thus, it is necessary to search for and develop appropriate methods used for protecting program.

We describe light-weight protocols for selective packet ordering in out-of-order networks that carry memory traffic. The protocols are designed for heterogeneous high-performance systems, in particular, accelerated systems with end-points that have few resources available for interfacing the network. The protocols preserve the semantics of a relaxed memory ordering model as adopted by highly-threaded many-core processors and accelerators. The protocols achieve link-rate performance through the following techniques: (1) Speculative connection setup avoids round-trip delays found in protocols with little knowledge about endpoint resources, (2) target-side ordering avoids round-trip delays found in source-side ordering mechanisms, (3) fine-grained ordering removes dependencies unwarranted by program code avoiding cumulative ordering dependencies caused by coarse-grained ordering, (4) ordering relaxations and optimizations for producer/consumer communication patterns. We describe two ordering protocols that provide (1) strict sequential ordering and (2) relaxed ordering for multi-packet transfers. The protocols impose no restrictions on routing, including multipath routing.

Developers write unit tests together with program code, and then maintain these tests as the program evolves. Since writing good tests can be difficult and tedious, unit tests can also be generated automatically. However, maintaining these tests (e.g., when APIs change, or, when tests represent outdated and changed behavior), is still a manual task. Because automatically generated tests may have no clear purpose other than covering code, maintaining them may be more difficult than maintaining manually written tests. Could this maintenance be avoided by simply generating new tests after each change, and disposing the old ones? We propose disposable testing: Tests are generated to reveal any behavioral differences caused by a code change, and are thrown away once the developer confirms whether these changes were intended or not. However, this idea raises several research challenges: First, are standard automated test generation techniques good enough to produce tests that may be relied upon to reveal changes as effectively as an incrementally built regression test suite? Second, does disposable testing reduce the overall effort, or would developers need to inspect more generated tests compared to just maintaining existing ones?

The pH of any polyprotic weak and strong acid (or base) can be calculated employing the logarithmic concentration diagram. The aim of this text is to introduce a joint approach of algebraic, as used in textbook, and graphical method. The logarithmic diagrams provide an easy insight into the acid- base systems. The mathematical complexities are overtaken using a Computer Algebra System program, which is also exploited to draw the diagrams. Examples of the use of the program are given together with the code employed.

Software cost can be reduced if more software defects are detected earlier in the development phase. Motivated by the Extended Static Checking (ESC) technique, many programming errors have been discovered by ESC tools. In a typical ESC procedure, the source code of a program written in a high-level programming language, e.g. Java [1] or C#, Spec# [2], is translated into some logical imperative-style language, resp. Guarded Commands [1] or BoogiePL [2]. At the same time, associated annotated specifications which state constraints of the program are also translated into the same logical language. This two-fold translation phase induces code-interleaving phenomenon of annotated specification and program. The subsequent phases in ESC relies on the interleaving codes while there is a possibility that logical imperative codes translated from annotated specification may change behavior of the original program. This paper proposes a formal analysis approach of possible interaction between specification and program codes. It does not only show the range of specification categories which are safe in this ESC procedure, but also presents cases for potential ESC unsoundness.
