With deeper researches on requirements engineering (RE), the researchers gradually realize that the requirements engineering processes are very complex and the related technologies are in a great variety. Thus, in order to analyze and compare different types of requirements engineering processes more deeply, a simple, clear, unified description method of requirements engineering process is needed. In this paper, the requirements engineering process itself is taken as the research object and a formal description method of requirements engineering process, requirements engineering process metamodel (REPM), is proposed. The REPM is a simple and unified method for describing different types of processes, in which different RE tools are applied. In this paper, the formal definition of REPM is given, and three typical requirements engineering processes are also described and analyzed using REPM. Furthermore, a new integrated RE process is defined using REPM as well.

Additive and hybrid manufactured waveguide resonators and bandpass filters for mm-wave applications are presented. A Ka band 3D printed waveguide resonator with inductive windows and 28 GHz 5G band hybrid manufactured waveguide resonator and bandpass filter are designed. Hybrid manufacturing combines 3D polymer printing and conventional metal processing technologies. In order to illustrate the accuracy of the design, a 3D printed waveguide transmission line and resonator with the resonant frequency of 33 GHz are fabricated and tested.

Due to the shortages of static grid service in grid computing, a new paradigm of grid service (for brief, GS) - grid mobile service (GMS) is proposed and deeply studied in our lab. GMS provides a series of standard interfaces and conforms to OGSA's conventions to provide the intelligent mobile code service. Based on intelligent mobile software agent and grid technologies, GMS is the extension of grid service' type. Mobile agents wander in grid to discover, call and interact with all kinds of grid services automatically, accomplishing assigned task and providing certain services for users. GMS moves "computation" to "data", and its introduction can greatly increase grid service flexibility and validity, offering more selections and technological support to such applications as data-intensive computation, mobile computing and e-commerce etc. The purpose of this paper is to present mobile grid service's formal definition and description. The agent's lifetime and state evolvement in GMS are also discussed. Moreover, GMS hierarchy structure and communication process with GS or between GMS are presented.

The Tampere University of Technology Cellular Array (TUTCA) processor array is based on a dynamically configurable logic cell array. It is intended for efficient implementation of the direct mapping dataflow principle with a self-timed, distributed control structure. The architecture of the processor, principles of mapping algorithms on it, and the compiler of the dataflow language are described. The language used for programming is a slightly modified version of DFL. This work aims to present the most relevant results derived from the development of a novel FPGA matrix. Nevertheless its capacity, its highlights are low cost and its ability to deal with high frequencies. This prototype matrix, named FLECHA, presents some structural novelties, as a different approach to perform the interconnections between logic cells and I/O pads and an internal controller. One of the major contributions of this work deals with the strategy of placing the logic cells in rows, allowing a drastic reduction of the number of switches without reducing interconnection capacity between logic cells and I/O pads. Following this principle, a new matrix presenting 600 equivalent gates was constructed including 40 logic cells and 40 programmable I/O pads. The FLECHA matrix is intended to implement simple logic functions as for fast "glue logic" between processors and memories, reaching an operational frequency of l45 MHz.

Healthcare is becoming increasingly pervasive. Improvements in sensor and mobile communication technologies allow for the constant monitoring of patients and their environment. Infrastructure supporting care services must enable such data to flow to the relevant parties as appropriate to the circumstances. This paper describes our initial work on a policy driven, component-based middleware, illustrating how it manages information flows (through reconfiguration) to account for the dynamic nature of healthcare provisioning.
