Poly methyl methacrylate-co-glycidyl methacrylate copolymers (PMMA-GMA) was synthesized by bulk polymerization. The copolymers were blended with polylactide (PLA) in Haake rheometer at different weight ratio from 0% to 15% as chain extender and modifier. The properties of neat polylactide(PLA) and modified PLA were characterized using gel permeation chromatography, differential scanning calorimetry, and Thermogravimetric analysis. The results showed that: PMMA-GMA is an effective chain extender for PLA. The balanced torque and temperature of PLA increased with the increasing of copolymer chain extender content. PLA seemed to be corsslinked when the content of copolymer reached 15%. The number everage moleculer weight and the weight everage moleculer weitht of PLA increased simultaneously. The glass transation temperature of PLA was pushed to higher temperature by the introduction of copolymer. The introduction of copolymer affected the cold crystallization behavior and melting behavior of PLA. The thermal stability of PLA was improved slightly by the introduction of copolymer.

Multiple vehicles cooperative control is an important field of research for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In this paper, the difficulties and challenges for cooperation of multiple networked UAVs were analyzed. Based on OODA model, the cooperation process of multiple networked UAVs was presented. Furthermore, three key technologies for multiple UAVs cooperative control were proposed, which are multiple vehicles cooperative information sensing under dynamic environment, multiple vehicles distributed mission decision under dynamic network and multiple vehicle autonomous online path planning and path coordination. Finally, the main research content and trend of these key technologies were discussed.

There are several different features of satellites network compared to ground networks, such as long time delay, large bandwidth delay production (BDP), high error rate, intermittent and asymmetric links, etc. There are abundant research results indicated that it will reduce its performance and waste precious network resource if apply the traditional TCP in the satellites network directly. Transfer control protocol is a very important part to the satellites network, and it is the key to data transfer and control. Based on this point, the paper researches on the Satellites Network Transfer Control Protocol (STP), puts forward the improvement and optimization methods to the STP. It is proved that the improved STP has better performance than the traditional TCP applied in the satellites networks by simulation results using OPNET software.

To determine the C2 (command and control) relationship networks nodes' communication ability in consensus situation awareness quantitatively, the communication process aims at situation sharing in consensus situation awareness is analyzed. Against the background of C2 relationship networks, formal description on the nodes' communication ability in consensus situation awareness is made based on the model of OODA and three basic experiential hypotheses is given. Then the quantifiable model of nodes' communication ability in consensus situation awareness is built, and the analysis results of the model can be well explained by real world experience.

We investigate surface plasmon polaritons of Fabry-Perot type in periodic metal-dieleetric gratings. They originate in addition to conventional Bloch plasmons only if the slit walls are covered with metal. The analytical models for both vertical and horizontal Fabry-Perot plasmons are developed and they demonstrate qualitative agreement with results of numerical simulations. The corresponding resonance wavelengths are shown to be very sensitive to metal walls thickness.

We present new computational building blocks based on memristive devices. These blocks, can be used to implement either supervised or unsupervised learning modules. This is achieved using a crosspoint architecture which is an efficient array implementation for nanoscale two-terminal mem-ristive devices. Based on these blocks and an experimentally verified SPICE macromodel for the memristor, we demonstrate that firstly, the Spike-Timing-Dependent Plasticity (STDP) can be implemented by a single memristor device and secondly, a memristor-based competitive Hebbian learning through STDP using a 1×1000 synaptic network. This is achieved by adjusting the memristor's conductance values (weights) as a function of the timing difference between presynaptic and postsynaptic spikes. These implementations have a number of shortcomings due to the memristor's characteristics such as memory decay, highly nonlinear switching behaviour as a function of applied voltage/current, and functional uniformity. These shortcomings can be addressed by utilising a mixed gates that can be used in conjunction with the analogue behaviour for biomimetic computation. The digital implementations in this paper use in-situ computational capability of the memristor.

In recent years, the phenomenon of global warming has become increasingly serious, resulting from human factors such as excessive increases of human and environmental pollution and gas emissions and depletion of natural resources. According to research, global warming leads to desertification, drought, reduction of rainfall and the crisis of a lack of fresh water. Due to the continual growth of the global population, available resources are being depleted and water and food pollution is serious. Today, there is a new concept in agricultural development called a “Plant Factory” which could mass produce plants economically. Furthermore, the plant factory could overcome the effect of change of climate, environmental contamination and resource depletion. This study proposes a monitoring management platform for a plant factory. The platform adopts automatic management to replace manpower with sensor technology to monitor and control the plants' environment. Moreover, it is based on a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), Zigbee-based wireless transmission, and integrating components of sensor technology. The proposed management platform reduces manpower costs, effectively achieves carbon reduction and is energy saving.

Remote sensing using global navigation satellite system reflection signals (GNSS-R) is a new active microwave remote sensing technology. The sensitivity of power waveform to ocean surface wind speed and direction is researched at aircraft altitude in this papar, which bases on numerical simulations of GNSS-R waveform. The results show the peak and slope of waveform is sensitive to the wind speed and direction for weak winds at low GPS elevation, which is not only sensitive to the wind speed and direction for weak winds, but also to the wind speed for strong winds at high GPS elevation. At the nadir looking, the peak and slope of waveform is sensitive to the wind speed for weak and strong winds, but is not sensitive to the wind direction. The research results will be referenced when improving the ocean surface wind retrieval accuracy from aircraft data.

In this paper, a new method of using preponderant terminal in cooperative satellite mobile communication system was presented to reduce the influence of multipath fading and shading. First, the new method of using preponderant terminal in cooperative satellite mobile communication system was analyzed, then the system model was given and predi-gested to the typical three cooperative strategies. Some typical mobile satellite channels were selected to analyze and simulate. The results show that the performance of system was improved by using this new method.
