The monitoring and control system in the NF-6 wind tunnel is realized by PLC (programmablelogic controller). In this article, we describe in detail on the monitoring and control system. At first we introduce the monitoring and control object (NF-6 wind tunnel) in brief. And then expatiate globally the monitoring and control system (topic 3). The anti-surge control system and typical parameter measurement system are analyzed. We discuss respectively the hardware structure, software and program logic structure of the monitoring and control system (topic 4), and research the experiment results. The test result indicates that the monitoring and control system which based on PLC and is composed of monitoring instrument, control valve, auxiliary subsystem, has achieved good effect in practice.

This proposal introduces a conceptual design of self adapting system software to manage sensor failures in factory automation. The approach reconfigures the arrangement of software modules in real time to preserve the required stability of production processes without interrupts. Reconfiguration will be decided by rules from a knowledge base system. This paper discusses conventional, object oriented and agent based concepts, and focuses on modeling of these concepts. The paper deals with automatic testing of programmablelogical controller (PLC) programs in a distant education. Students control a physical model, which that has also its virtual counterpart. While one user is connected to the physical model, others debug programs with the aid of the virtual model. We discuss the structure of models, the organization of education, and the testing process of student's programs. Finally, we present a new theory of δ -graphs used for conversion programs into a timed abstraction of PLC suitable for testing, as the main contribution of this paper.

Today's PLC systems are mostly limited in transmission speeds to several kilobits per seconds. Such speeds are certainly not sufficient for running popular services like a broadband Internet, a teleworking or the Video on Demand. This fact is reducing a chance of the PLC technology's deployment in a wide range. One way how to overcome this problem could be in introduction of optimal errors correcting techniques into the PLC technology. In this contribution, different types of coding techniques are discussed, including RS, Turbo or Convolutional codes. Theoretical analyses are focused on their positive and negative features visible in case of their deployment in the PLC transmission environment. Special attention is pointed to their robustness against noises, which is analyzed also practically in form of the simulations. Analyses and simulations are done for individual codes as well as combination of codes.

The controller nv series has the features that is high performance and high reliability. Language processor qualified the features with hardware logic execution and redundant circuit architecture. Controllerpsilas application program for PLC or DCS is described by international standard IEC 61131-3 programming language. Program high operation performance is powered by language processor, which is designed to execute IEC 61131-3 language instructions directly with hardware logic, then the execution time of the sequence instructions can be set 20 ns (1/2 compared with our company late product) and the control cycle time is from 0.5 ms or more. programmable logic controllers (PLCs) have been used for many decades for standard control in industrial and factory environments. Over the years, PLCs have become computational efficient and powerful, and a robust platform with applications beyond the standard control and factory automation. Due to the new advanced PLC's features and computational power, they are ideal platforms for exploring advanced modeling and control methods, including computational intelligence based techniques such as neural networks, particle swarm optimization (PSO) and many others. Some of these techniques require fast floating-point calculations that are now possible in real-time on the PLC. This paper focuses on the Allen-Bradley ControlLogix brand of PLCs, due to their high performance and extensive use in industry. The design and implementation of a neurocontroller consisting of two neural networks, one for modeling and the other for control, and the training of these neural networks with particle swarm optimization is presented in this paper on a single PLC. The neurocontroller in this study is a power system stabilizer (PSS) that is used for power system oscillation damping. The PLC is interfaced to a power system simulated on the real time digital simulator. Real time results are presented showing that the PLC is a suitable hardware platform for implementing advanced modeling and control techniques for industrial applications.

This contribution reports on the conceptual analysis and computer modelling of the electromagnetic field surrounding a domestic power distribution cable network that is also being used for high-frequency telecommunication. It concludes that the field will exhibit widely varying rates of fall-off with distance. It shows that because of the emission from multiple sections of cable, and the complexity of the near-field electromagnetic situation, there are major implications for interference profile and measurement methods. The usual approximation for field vs. distance is invalid in most practical cases.
