In today's world of technology and due to speed running industries, automated machine is increased in this globalised world. Over the years, the demand increases for high quality, greater efficiency and automatic machines. Generally, manufacturing industries keep manufacturing same models with little variation in height, colour, weight, shape. And here sorting plays an important role. In such cases industries can't bare human errors for sorting these products. Thus it become necessary to develop Low Cost Automation (LCA) for sorting these products in accurate manner. Industrial automation mainly focuses on developing automations having low cost, low maintenance, long durability and to make systems user friendly as possible. And controlling various machines like different motors at the same time become a difficult task. Finally, here we have developed a LCA system for Multi machine operation and sorting the light weight objects on the basis of height variation using DC geared motors along with induction motor and stepper motors which is controlled by programmable logic controller (PLC) Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and the conveyor in the system passes the object in front of sensors and thus sorting logic is decided. The project mainly focuses on level, positioning, speed and flow control at the various stages of the project plant.

In order to meet the growing demand for electrical power, Semboro Sugar Factory (PG Semboro)'s management has built an additional 1x7 MW power plant with SST-300 steam turbine. Standard system of this power plant consists of turbine and generator control system, Barring Gear system, Lube Oil system, and Gland Steam Condenser system. In this paper, design and implementation of On-Off Differential control system for Lube Oil system and Gland Steam Condenser system has been done. In order to be able to manage the equipment of both systems effectively, the control system is designed based on programmable logic controller (PLC) and featured with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). Test results from both systems generally show good performance. The Lube Oil system can operate properly refers to its main parameters, which are lube oil pressure, oil temperature, and turbine speed. The Gland Steam Condenser system can operate properly refers to its main parameter, which is turbine speed.

The recent advancement of industry automation is administration of the network is also distributed creating underpinned by the continuous development of the industrial network. This exponential growth is driving the fourth generation industry revolution (FGIR). To meet the requirement of FGIR, there is an ongoing evolution of industrial network from Fieldbus to Ethernet that has emerged a new opportunity to integrate Software Defined Networking (SDN) technique. In this paper, we propose a network architecture called Software Defined Industry Automation Network (SDIAN) to enable highly flexible and robust network. The proposed architecture promises to provide real-time communication, online dynamic configuration and flexible adaptation to changes in the connections and locations of the manufacturing entities. To validate the merit of the proposed framework, we also report on an ongoing testbed implementation on an experimental food processing plant demonstrator featuring Raspberry PIs (RPIs) instead of traditional programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Our demonstrator exemplifies the characteristics of SDIAN.

programmable logic controllers (PLCs) play an important role for integration of hardware and software in industrial robot cells. In this paper we propose a semantic grounding of the Sequential Function Charts (SFC) notation for specification of PLC programs. Our semantic grounding is expressed in the OWL semantic language and forms part of our semantic robot framework, called KIF (Knowledge Integration Framework). KIF is a set of ontologies and associated tools to ensure interoperability between heterogeneous equipment making up a robot cell. We also present a tool set for manipulating SFC instances stored in RDF triple stores reachable through the RDF4J framework. The semantic grounding and tool set are evaluated in a teaching-by-demonstration experiment in a small parts assembly setup featuring a collaborative industrial robot, ABB YuMi, where the tool set is used to create and execute SFC descriptions on-the-fly based on data from human demonstrations. © 2017

The temperature control system is widely used in the field of industrial control, such as the boiler's temperature control system in Steel, chemical plants and thermal power plants. For the requirements of remote centralized management and security monitor in temperature control system, a temperature control inspection system consisted by down-computer clew and up-computer, is designed in this paper. In this system, a programmable logic controller (PLC) is use as up-computer, multiple AI smart meters are use as down-computer clew. The structure of the system hardware and the interconnection of the various parts are introduced simply, the design and implementation of communication system of down-computer is elaborated in detail, and the part of the communication system program is given. The actual operation shows that the remote monitoring function can be realized and design requirements be satisfied by the application of intelligent instruments of real-time collection, processing and feedback on the site temperature, and high efficiency, high universality and reliable stability are the advantages of the system.

The article presents the results of a study into the asynchronous electric drive with positive dynamic feedback on stator current. The experiments were carried out with external analog processing and generating a control signal unit and the programmable logic controller. Correction algorithms are based on previously conducted theoretical studies and computer modeling. The resulting diagrams of transient processes confirm that the proposed correction in static modes is much more efficient than the traditional IR-compensation, and the reaction to the load sketch exceeds the closed-speed electric drive by dynamic characteristics. The ndustrial equipment by Schneider Electric - Frequency converter ATV71 and PLC Modicon TM241 - was used as a pilot.

This paper presents an experimental system that allows the study and testing of two proximity sensors (inductive and capacitive) and their use in an application. The guideline for studying these devices enables students to test the working modes of Turck inductive and capacitive proximity sensors, apply their previously acquired theoretical knowledge about sensors, transducers and electronic circuits select and use the information from datasheets. An application of inductive and capacitive proximity sensors is also implemented using a programmable logic controller. A metallic object moves on a linear trajectory between two boundary positions detected with the studied inductive sensor and capacitive sensor respectively. The object reverses the movement direction when it reaches a limit position. The programmable logic controller performs the monitoring of sensors' outputs and controls the object movement sense. The students can analyze the design and implementation of this experimental system for motion control, the operation of input and output circuits of programmable logic controller and the connection of each sensor to this equipment. The experimental system has been proved useful in academic study for experimental training on measurement systems.

The paper proposes an automation heating and pumping system for water, using Zelio PLC, for a cloakroom from a facility plant. PLC control installation replaces a classical control installation, less reliable, with contacts and relays. For control of automation heating and pumping system for water using a PLC Zelio SR3B261BD, 24V DC type, and one extension module connected to PLC, SR3XT141BD, 24V DC type. The program was developed in function block diagram. Using PLC's controls the installation has been simplified considerably, and troubleshoots installation are much easier.

Accurate training on electronic measurements can be obtained while experimenting with real sensors, electronic circuits and equipments. The paper presents an experimental system that allows the study and testing for two ultrasonic sensors, the remote programming for one of them and the monitoring of switching output for each sensor. A programmable logic controller performs the sensor remote programming and monitoring. The guideline for studying, testing and monitoring the ultrasonic sensors helps students to select, comprehend and apply information from datasheets and catalogs, use the previously acquired theoretical knowledge, understand the sensor connection to the programmable logic controller for implementing the sensor remote programming and monitoring. The engineering undergraduates acquire new practical skills using ultrasonic sensors and programmable logic controller, analogue and digital circuits and other devices. The experimental system presented in this paper has been proved very useful in academic study for experimental training on electronic measurements.
