Department of Control Engineering offers virtual education services of Control Engineering on the Web. This article reports about work done in previous stage of education system development on Web. The main aim of education system (Microsoft IIS platform) is merging of such elements as visualization, interactive dialogue, experimentation and simulation. Registration, autentification and users knowledge testing are based on ODBC API to Microsoft Access and Microsoft ASP programming. The structure of training centers and problems of education are described. Control and automation based on newest EDI technologies are discussed.

Design of a programmable delay controller (PDC) within an aerospace-compatible field-programmable gate array (FPGA) fabric is presented. Although PDC is a common digital block nowadays, the possibility to use it for low-jitter arbitrary frequency generation constrained only by minimum edge-to-edge time still seems to be uncovered. The novel idea of the developed PDC is seamless line delay switching at sampling frequencies corresponding to the generated output frequency, unleashing a possibility of arbitrary binary waveform (frequency) generation. The maximum frequency is constrained only by the FPGA fabric performance, and by idle delay of available multiplexers. Glitch-free operation with no unintentional edges is employed for proper PDC control signal switching. The overall output signal jitter is composed solely of the jitter of input signal and propagation jitter of the delay elements (sigma(max) = 4.1 ps RMS). Measured resolution of the PDC is +/-Delta tau(max)/2 = +/- 7.5ps. Measured temperature drift of the PDC is similar to 30 ps K-1. An ability of PDC to generate fractional frequency from the input has been demonstrated on a simplified, low-resolution variant, delivering 33.(3) over bar MHz out of 50 MHz input.

With the rapid development of social technology, the concept of intelligence has appeared in more and more new media, and intelligent products have increasingly entered people's daily life. The public's demand for modern quality of life is also higher and higher. In order to produce more stable and efficient X-ray, this paper invents and designs a single chip microcomputer intelligent management system using PLC. A single chip microcomputer ICS based on PLC is designed. The new high voltage DC switching power supply and high frequency filament power supply technology are applied to the control circuit with PLC as the control core, so that the X-ray machine realizes the control and output design of tube current (kV) and tube current (MA). Through repeated detection and debugging, the intelligent controller designed by experiment can realize the prediction results and specific technical indicators. Through PLC operation, the controller can realize the continuous adjustment of short tube current from zero to 300 kV, small focusing current from zero to 3 Ma and large focusing current from 0 to 10 mA. So as to achieve complete digital intelligent management.

In this article the implementation of a low cost DCS based on the Intel Bitbus specification, named ISOMATIC PLUS is discussed. This system uses programmable controllers based on INTEL and MOTOROLA microprocessors. A case with redundant master is considered and some results for system performance are obtained. The design of described system is one approach to connect existing control equipment with newly developed one using low cost manufacturing network. Analyses of system requirements and hierarchical structure of manufacturing control system shows that Bitbus is appropriate. It is very important system to be able to connect different types of control devices. In Isomatic Plus some of services defined in MMS are implemented, and by using bridge or simply changing physical and link communication layers can easily move to another type of network. Performance tests show that future work have to be directed towards decreasing switching times.

The aim of this paper is to show practical application of programmable pump flow correction applied to neutralization pilot plant. Flow is dependent on liquid level in a tank hence maximum vale off low changes also. There is need to set working range of pump which is valid for each level in supplying tank. Online correction for each working point is also necessary to make flow dosing more precise and reliable. For this purpose linear and nonlinear approximation was applied. In both cases good and comparable results were obtained, hence linear approach would be preferable.

Parallel operation of transformers is not currently the standard design for primary substations within ENDESA. Feeders, busbars and switches are deployed in such a way that every power transformer should not be overloaded during normal and even extreme situations. However, specific locations do still need to take into account parallel operation for very specific days throughout the year. This is always carried out by external logic units with plenty of digital inputs and PLC programs. Thus it is indeed quite expensive and complex due to required cabling, free space inside cabinets and abundancy of digital inputs and complexity of the PLC *** proposed solution is based exclusively on online measurements of existing digital multimeters that are already used for the SCADA. Several strategies have been tested in a dozen of substations in real time by coupling and decoupling transformers for hours. This has allowed a true validation of algorithms, thus rejecting initial approaches and developing new ones with better results. Finally a simple but robust and fast algorithm has been deployed.
