The paper describes a specific method for designing self-checking checkers for m-out-of-n codes. The method is oriented to the field programmable gate arrays technology and is based on decomposing the sum-of-minterms corresponding to an m-out-of-n code. The self-testing property of the proposed checker is proven for a set of multiple stuck-at faults at input and output poles of a logic cell. An estimated complexity of obtained m-out-of-n checker demonstrates high efficiency of the proposed method.

This paper discusses a powerful experimental technique that makes it possible to examine the effect of logic block attributes on the block area density. The logic block is XOR-AND based, and five unique attributes were investigated. The experiment consisted of several iterations in which benchmark circuits were mapped on to various blocks, each varying in some attribute. Results are plotted on to a response contour map, indicating a point of maximum area density. The results have shown that inverting primary inputs to AND gates of the function structure is insignificant. In addition results indicate that two level function structures with an XOR output gate are able to contain logic in the smallest physical area.< >

This project attempts to address the issue of bottle opening for individuals with limited hand mobility, explicitly focusing on stroke survivors and how a 3D printable device can help to alleviate such challenges. Stroke survivors and other individuals with hand mobility issues struggle with daily activities, such as opening bottles of medicine, necessitating new and innovative solutions. By using the flexibility of 3D printing, new mechanisms can be made, which focus on employing a more usercentered approach. Our final design used a V-shaped mechanism supported with TPU ridges to enhance friction. Thorough experimentation, each of the three prototypes was tested by a co-designer with left arm paralysis. It was found that the design could help to open 17 of the 20 test bottles. While there are still some limitations such as design size, this research is a meaningful step towards increased independence and quality of life for individuals with such mobility challenges.

Due to the increasing complexity of software applications, traditional function security testing ways, which only test and validate software security mechanisms, are becoming ineffective to detect latent software security defects (SSD). However, the most of vulnerabilities result from some typical SSD. According to CERT/CC, ten defects known are responsible for 75% of security breaches in today software applications. On the base of threat tree modeling, we use it in the integrated software security test model. For introducing the usefulness of the method, we use the test model in M 3 TR software security test.

The development of a more precise targeted delivery system is critical for the advancement of cancer chemotherapy. In this study, we evaluated the effects of RGD-conjugated poly (lactic acid-co-lysine)-(Arginine-Glycine-Aspartic) nanoparticles (PLA -PLL-RGD NPs) on targeted drug delivery for BACP-37 breast cancer. PLA-PLL-RGD NPs were prepared by using the emulsion method. A subsequent MTT assay indicated that the NPs were non-toxic. In vitro, the results of Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy (CLSM) and Flow cytometry analyses indicated that the PLA-PLL-RGD NPs can bind more significantly to human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) compared with PLA-PLL NPs. In vivo, the results of targeted imaging showed that PLA-PLL-RGD can significantly target to BACP-37 breast cancer. These results showed that PLA-PLL-RGD NPs have the potential to be used as targeted delivery carrier.

A circuit partitioning method based on analysis of reconvergent fanout is introduced. A DAG model for a circuit is considered. A corolla is defined as a set of overlapping reconvergent fanout regions. The DAG is partitioned into a set of nonoverlapping corollas, and the corollas are used to resynthesize the circuit. It is shown that resynthesis of large benchmark circuits consistently reduces transistor pairs and layout area, while improving delay and testability.< >

The paper presents AATMA: a technology mapping algorithm for antifuse based FPGAs. The algorithm is independent of the logic module structure. It can handle large libraries with complex functions and uses a signature-matching based approach to achieve high mapping quality and shorter execution times. This makes it a powerful tool not only for mapping designs onto a logic module but also for the design and evaluation of antifuse-based FPGA logic module architectures. The details of the overall algorithm along with the signature matching technique are presented. The experimental results show that AATMA needs upto 15-20% fewer logic modules than MISII and is upto 15 to 20 times faster.

A distance based on mutual information is used to construct a hierarchical clustering structure. Experimental results show that the method provides a very suitable subset of multispectral bands for pixel classification purposes
