Schedule analysts often resolve diverse schedule delay problems in construction projects based on their subjective experiences. Although various process-based and mathematical-model schedule delay analysis methods are available for effective schedule delay analysis, these methods require time-consuming manual operation. The use of computer-based schedule delay analysis methods seems to be a solution. However, schedule analysts still have difficulty developing computer-based schedule delay analysis methods. Therefore, this study applies information flow analysis to classify the necessary work to develop computer-based schedule delay analysis methods. In contrast to numerous studies that focus only on computerizing a process-based or a mathematical-model schedule delay analysis method, this study constructs a computer-based method that integrates two process-based schedule delay analysis methods simultaneously. In a tested case study, the delay liability for the project owner and contractor was classified successfully. Importantly, this study provides a useful reference for similar applications in project management.

This paper presents a staircase-down SET programming technique for phase-change memories (PCMs). The proposed programming approach allows compensating for spreads in cell physical parameters and obtaining adequately narrow cell distributions, which results in improved read margin. The cell programming curve is experimentally evaluated and discussed. The effectiveness of the proposed technique is demonstrated by comparing cell distributions obtained on an 8-Mb bipolar junction transistor (BJT)-selected PCM demonstrator by means of a conventional SET box pulse and a staircase-down SET pulse, respectively. A general strategy is presented for multiprocessing that combines programming technique, machine architecture, and performance estimation. The programmer decomposes an application into manipulations of protocol-based programming primitives (protocols) usingPlans andscenarios from software engineering. The programmer may select from generic protocols, which include shared-memory locations and messages, or may build his own. A system architecture that supports efficient emlation of protocols is presented along with a method of estimating program performance based on network characteristics. Results are given from a protocol-based operating system on the 64 processor BTL Hypercube multiprocessor.

This paper is an Action Research about adopting Mob programming and Simultaneous Style Pair programming to develop a battle royale game called Pirate Ship Battles. Mob programming helps the developers to learn an open-source framework for games called Phaser and another one called Jest to automatization of the tests. The following are two examples of insights that occurred respectively in the first and third cycles of action research. The team collaboratively agreed to start by learning in a Mob programming doing the infra-structure to the tests and also to deepen the knowledge about Phaser should help in the next parts of the project. Another example of insight occurred in the third cycle of this action research is about testing activity, fixing the bugs, was observed funnier comparing with testing alone. The team reported it was funnier testing altogether, when a mistake happens to run new code, everybody paying attention to the projector on the fault, a ready joke. Perhaps, because they are friends and the project is a game. Another possible explanation about our experience of funnier testing activity in a Mob programming compared to testing alone is that we humans are social beings. Concluding, the source code of the game is of excellent quality as evaluated by CodeClimate by classifying it with grade A, the developers enjoyed, and both approaches increased the learnings.
