With the advent of IoT and the seamless advent of the ubiquitous network using the 5G technologies, the ability to provide a continuous service is the requirement of every Internet Service Provider (ISP). The IoT presents a network of humongous network size, troubleshooting and maintaining this network is a challenge, in light of this an automated system to do network diagnostics and predictive self-healing is the need of the current era. The proposed system introduces an automated network diagnostics and self-healing technique for 5G environment using predictive analysis. The performance parameters of the device or network are considered to collect the data and analyze the possible anomalies. When the performance parameters are deviated from the normal ranges, the problems occurred in the network are diagnosed in a productive way and the predictive analysis is done. The time series analysis helps to predict the performance of the network in various time intervals. The proposed technique has been implemented in the live network environment provided by one of the leading ISP and the performance analysis has proven that the predictive analysis and network diagnostics improves the network performance with self-healing in 5G networks.

The aviation industry has driven economic growth and facilitated cultural exchange over the past century. However, concerns have arisen regarding its contribution to greenhouse gas emissions and potential impact on climate change. In response to this challenge, stakeholders have proposed the use of electric ground support vehicles, powered by renewable energy sources, at airports. This solution aims to not only reduce emissions, but to also lower energy costs. Nonetheless, the successful implementation of such a system relies on accurate energy demand forecasting, which is influenced by flight data and fluctuations in renewable energy availability. This paper presents a novel data-driven, machine-learning-based energy prediction model that compared the performance of the Facebook prophet and vector autoregressive integrated moving average algorithms to develop time series models to forecast the ground movement operation net energy demand in the airport, using historical flight data and an onsite airport-based PV power system (ASPV). The results demonstrate the superiority of the Facebook prophet model over the vector autoregressive integrated moving average (VARIMA), highlighting its utility for airport operators and planners in managing energy consumption and preparing for future electrified ground movement operations at the airport.

Opportunistic network is a kind of network which does not have a definite path from the source node to the destination node. It can only communicate when nodes meet each other. According to the classic routing protocol in opportunistic network, a routing protocol is proposed which consider the duration of historical connections with acknowledgement mechanism (DoC-ACK) in this paper. The simulation results show that the proposed routing protocol can substantially improve the message delivery rate and significantly reduce the overhead rate without changing the transmission delay basically.

The forwarding activities of Pocket Switched Network (PSN) under social scene has attracted increasing attention, which are deeply affected by the social features of PSN nodes, especially the social network structure and characteristics of selfishness among nodes that jointly construct their behavior model under an opportunistic forwarding environment. Through both analysis and simulation, we investigate how social network structure and node selfishness influence data forwarding activities of PSN nodes based on our proposed contact-and-cooperative model. Simulation results obtained by prophet algorithm show that PSN forwarding performance, including delay time and packet delivery ratio, are improved by the introduction of social network structure. Further, the differentiation of node selfishness according to nodes' relationships on social structure level also displays intrinsic benefit in network performance in the presence of the node selfish behavior that is inevitable in real world. The results also show that hub nodes in the network, which undertake heavy relay mission, may play a more important role in forwarding activities under our model with social selfishness compared with unconditionally cooperative cases.

Background: Equine laminitis is a devastating disease that causes severe pain in afflicted horses and places a major economic burden on the horse industry. In acute laminitis, the disintegration of the dermal-epidermal junction can cause the third phalanx to detach from the hoof wall, leaving the horse unable to bear weight on the affected limbs. Horses that survive the acute phase transition into a chronic form of laminitis, which is often termed "founder". Some evidence suggests that chronic laminar inflammation might be associated with alterations in the endocrine and immune systems. We investigated this broad hypothesis by using DIGE to assess global differences in the plasma proteome between horses with chronic laminitis and controls. Results: We identified 16 differentially expressed proteins;the majority of these were involved in the interrelated coagulation, clotting, and kininogen cascades. Clinical testing of functional coagulation parameters in foundered horses revealed a slight delay in prothrombin (PT) clotting time, although most other indices were within normal ranges. Upregulation of the intestinal apolipoprotein APOA-IV in horses with chronic laminitis was confirmed by western blot. Conclusions: Our results support the hypothesis that localized laminar inflammation may be linked to systemic alterations in immune regulation, particularly in the gastrointestinal system. Gastrointestinal inflammation has been implicated in the development of acute laminitis but has not previously been associated with chronic laminitis.
