Exploring the synergy of python programming in single point incremental forming

Incremental forming, especially Single Point Incremental Forming (SPIF), is versatile and efficient in sheet metal fabrication. It eliminates the need for special tooling and exerts less forming force while increasing material formability. Recent research into SPIF has advanced understanding of its flexible forming mechanisms. Translating design concepts into physical components requires efficient methodologies that bridge design and manufacturing. For example, image-based CAD Conversion converts hand-drawn sketches, or digital designs, into high-quality, scalable, 3D models. python 3D reconstruction uses computer vision and geometrical algorithms to generate accurate 3D representations of 2D image data from visual representations. NC code extraction uses python to convert visual images of sheet metal to machine-readable CNC machining instructions. This allows manufacturers to translate design specifications into more efficient, consistent, and accurate machine-readable instructions, thus advancing modern fabrication processes. The integration of these methodologies ensures dimensional and geometric accuracy, enhancing the overall quality of fabricated components.

PurposeThis study aimed to explore the capabilities of advanced large language models (LLMs), including OpenAI's GPT-4 variants, Google's Gemini series, and Anthropic's Claude series, in addressing highly specialized otolaryngology board examination questions. Additionally, the study included a longitudinal assessment of GPT-3.5 Turbo, which was evaluated using the same set of questions one year ago to identify changes in its performance over *** utilized a question bank comprising 2,576 multiple-choice and single-choice questions from a German online education platform tailored for otolaryngology board certification preparation. The questions were submitted to 11 different LLMs, including GPT-3.5 Turbo, GPT-4 variants, Gemini models, and Claude models, through Application programming Interfaces (APIs) using python scripts, facilitating efficient data collection and ***-4o demonstrated the highest accuracy among all models, particularly excelling in categories such as allergology and head and neck tumors. While the Claude models showed competitive performance, they generally lagged behind the GPT-4 variants. A comparison of GPT-3.5 Turbo's performance revealed a significant decline in accuracy over the past year. Newer LLMs displayed varied performance levels, with single-choice questions consistently yielding higher accuracy than multiple-choice questions across all *** newer LLMs show strong potential in addressing specialized medical content, the observed decline in GPT-3.5 Turbo's performance over time underscores the necessity for continuous evaluation. This study highlights the critical need for ongoing optimization and efficient API usage to improve LLMs potential for applications in medical education and certification.

The applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education is growing continuously. One of the recent AI applications introduced to Education is the Chatbot technology, used to support teaching and administrative tasks. A long standing problem in Computer Science Education (CSE) is how to improve program comprehension for novice programmers. So far, CSE has not seen any Chatbot for supporting the teaching of programming. This paper proposed a Chatbot named python-Bot that helps novice programmers to understand python's basic syntactic structures and semantics. python-Bot was implemented on an existing Chatbot API (called SnatchBot) and an evaluation was performed to prove the effectiveness of python-Bot. The results suggest that python-Bot can support novice programmers in the comprehension of programs written in python. python-Bot can be found at: https://***/pythonbotchatbot2020.

Purpose This study aims to present the value trace problem (VTP) for python programming self-study, by extending the works for Java programming learning assistant system. In total, 130 VTP instances are generated using python codes in textbooks and websites that cover basic/advanced grammar topics, fundamental data structures and algorithms and two common library usages. Besides, assisting references on python programming topics related to the VTP instances are introduced to assist novice learners in solving them efficiently. Design/methodology/approach PyPLAS offers the VTP to study grammar topics and library usage through code reading. A VTP instance asks a learner to trace the actual values of important variables or output messages in the given source code. The correctness of any answer is checked through string matching. Findings The applications to 48 undergraduate students in Myanmar and Indonesia confirm the validity of the proposal in python programming self-studies by novice learners. A flipped classroom is a pedagogical method that flips traditional lectures and homework. In the case of a flipped classroom, the traditional lecture is viewed at home before class and homework activities are completed in the classroom with the tutor present to guide students in their work. At present, the above-mentioned flipped classroom has become increasingly popular, and sometimes controversial, within higher education. In this paper, we describe the flipped classroom example for python programming to control I/O devices with Raspberry Pi. First, the tutor uploads the lecture notes onto Moodle. Secondly, students read the lecture notes prior to the class. Students can then ask questions on the Moodle Forum if there are any questions about the class notes. Thirdly, the students attend the class. As part of the class activities, students form into 10 groups. Each group creates a python programme based on topics related to the class note, one hour is permitted for this activity. This is an example of a group activity. Next, each group will demonstrate the python programme they have created to the tutor and other students in a 5-minute presentation. Following this, the tutor and other students will provide comments on the demonstration. Students will then complete a self-reflection journal about the flipped classroom on Moodle after the class. The tutor evaluates each journal written by the students. In this paper, a description of the python programmes aims to control 8 LEDs is given as an example of a flipped classroom. Finally, the tutor added a questionnaire about the flipped classroom onto Moodle at the end of the semester. Collated questionnaire responses show that students felt the flipped classroom was appealing and helped improve programming skill. Thus, the author concludes that the flipped classroom is engaging and an effective way of teaching.

Computing has recently been introduced as a core subject in British schools, meaning that children need to learn computer programming. Teachers have to be prepared to deliver the new curriculum and children need the correct environment and support to succeed. This paper discusses TuringLab, a challenge-based learning system for the python programming language and proposes Skramble, an embeddable python programming environment for use within existing learning systems. TuringLab has been used to teach children how to programme at a number of volunteer-led coding clubs. Children engaged well with the system, and the volunteers, who acted as teachers in these sessions, found it an extremely valuable educational tool. Skramble is an open source environment and is designed to abstract functionality such as code execution, error handling, syntax analysis, code testing, output capture and package management: allowing this feature-rich environment to be easily integrated into existing learning systems.

Computing has recently been introduced as a core subject in British schools, meaning that children need to learn computer programming. Teachers have to be prepared to be able to deliver the new curriculum, but many of them do not feel confident teaching it as they have no formal background in Computer Science. Also, when learning to programme, children need the correct environment and support to succeed. This paper presents TuringLab, an environment to assist teachers in delivering the practical elements of the computing curriculum, while also proving to be engaging and challenging for the children. Teachers can create programming challenges for their pupils and see how they are progressing (or struggling) during completion of the challenges. Students can undertake challenges in an engaging environment which displays a graphical output of their code and assists in understanding errors they may encounter. TuringLab has been used to teach children how to programme at a number of volunteer-led coding clubs. Children engaged well with TuringLab, and the volunteers, who acted as teachers in these sessions, found TuringLab an extremely valuable educational tool.

In an age of rapid technological development, primary schools now teach programming to young students, focusing on developing their computational thinking, problem-solving, and ability to use computers to create solutions. However, fostering computational thinking skills in younger students was a challenging task. The serious game CodeCombat has become a potential resource for instructing young students in primary schools on basic programming principles using python. This study delved into the role of the serious game CodeCombat in advancing computational thinking competencies among primary school students undertaking python in Macao. Using a quasiexperimental pretest-posttest approach, we examined 49 grade-one students over a two-week python programming course facilitated by CodeCombat. The Computational Thinking Scale (CTS), encompassing Creativity, Cooperativity, Algorithmic Thinking, Problem Solving, and Critical Thinking, was employed to measure shifts in computational thinking before and after the teaching experiment. Data analysis through paired-sample t-test highlighted notable progress in computational thinking skills, with marked improvements specifically in Creativity, Critical Thinking, Algorithmic Thinking, and Problem Solving. However, Cooperativity did not exhibit the same upward trend, implying that CodeCombat's impact was more pronounced on solitary cognitive capabilities than collaborative skills. Moreover, the correlation between different dimensions indicated that these computational thinking skills were mutually reinforcing, suggesting that enhancing one might contribute to the development of others. The findings endorsed that game-based learning is effective in programming education and recommended integrating CodeCombat to improve computational thinking in learning python programming in primary school.

The proposed approach presents the influence of AI and Machine learning in nearly future predictions. This system can be used in the all kinds of subjects that include past time databases.
