During the last years many hardware realizations of neural networks and algorithms have been developed. Nowadays, these developments result in the first commercially available products, usually distributed by American enterprises. The aim of this report is to give a short overview on state-of-the-art neural network VLSI activities. Due to manifold international activities it will not be possible to cover every approach, however, our intention is to mention important VLSI architectures and fabricated VLSI chips. © 1991.
