real-timesimulation technique of power systems is becoming realizable due to the growing significant computational power of computing platform. This paper builds a real-time prototypical platform based on PXI and LabVIEW as its main hardware and software architecture. Taking advantage of the integration characteristics of NI products, the platform embodies high expansibility and good compatibility and fits the needs of studying in university labs. Based on the platform, a real-timealgorithm considering the multiple switching events is developed with a tradeoff between the computing power and the simulation accuracy. To validate the algorithm on the real-time prototypical platform, three-phase voltage source converter circuit and buck chopper circuit are studied with a 10μs time-step and 2kHz PWM frequency. The captured real-time results demonstrate high goodness of fit in comparison with the offline simulation of the systems in PSCAD/EMTDC.

The inherent micro-Doppler (m-D) feature of helicopter rotor echoes has been widely used in signal detection and identification. To meet the high accuracy and real-time performance requirements of the hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation, this paper proposes a real-time simulation algorithm for the echo signals of helicopter rotor blades. The proposed algorithm can not only simulate the echo signals of different helicopter rotors but can also reflect the m-D characteristics of the helicopter rotor echo signals accurately. Compared to other methods, the simulationalgorithm exhibits both high accuracy and superior real-time performance. The experimental results prove the feasibility and effectiveness of this method. The results of this study can have various industrial applications, such as helicopter detection and helicopter identification. This method can ensure the reliability of radar echo characteristics research, while effectively reducing the volume and weight of the system;thus, it can effectively reduce costs.

A class of hybrid algorithms of real-timesimulation based on evaluation of non-integerstep right-hand side function are presented in this paper. And some results of the convergence and stability of the algorithms are given. Using the class of algorithms, evaluation for the right-hand side function is needed once in every integration-step. Moreover, comparing with the other methods with the same amount of work, their numerical stability regions are larger and the method errors are smaller, and the numerical experiments show that the algorithms are very effective.
