Video snapshot compressive imaging (SCI) samples 3D high-speed video frames with temporally varying spatial modulation and compresses them into a single 2D measurement, and the SCI reconstruction algorithm aims to recover the original high-speed frames from the measurement. However, conventional video SCI systems encounter challenges when raising the frame rate of the reconstructed video. To achieve higher frame rates, the modulation mask's rate must be increased, which in turn leads to an increase in the associated hardware expenses. In this paper, we propose a deep unfolding-based reconstruction framework with optical flow for video SCI. The framework recovers both observed and unobserved frames from measurements, resulting in increased video frame rate. To estimate the optical flow, we transform the video features of the network into optical flow features during the iteration. Then, we design a deep denoiser and an optical flow-based motion regularizer combined with the voxels of coarse reconstructed frames to update the observed and unobserved frames. To improve the performance, we employ group convolution in the network and fuse the optical flow information from different phases to reduce the information loss. We further extend the proposed deep unfolding framework to the reconstruction of color SCI videos. Extensive experiments on benchmark data and real data prove that our proposed method has state-of-the-art reconstruction performance and visual effects.

This paper proposes a real-time vehicle dynamic path reconstruction algorithm based on AVI checkpoint data. Firstly, the algorithm follows an optimized KSP algorithm for constructing optional pathsets and a spatiotemporal multi-constraint path selection algorithm during the real-time vehicle driving process to reconstruct the path and status of the vehicle at each intersection. Secondly, a trip chain separation method based on the K-means clustering algorithm is used to complete the separation of vehicle paths. Finally, in order to improve the real-time performance of path reconstruction, an architecture based on a distributed system is adopted. The algorithm is tested with actual data, and the results indicated commendable performance in both accuracy and real-time responsiveness. © 2024 SPIE.

An Automatic Prostate Surgical Region reconstruction Method Based on Multilevel Learning

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is one of the main diseases affecting the health of middle-aged and elderly men. The accurate measurement and reconstruction of the surgical region (SR) from medical images is a vital and challenging step before the surgery. In this article, an automatic prostate SR reconstruction method based on multilevel learning is proposed. This method divides the reconstruction problem into two levels: prostate segmentation learning and reconstruction parameter learning. It can not only segment the prostate accurately, but also fuse various surgical constraints flexibly and doctors' clinical experience. Compared with traditional methods, the proposed method has better reconstruction accuracy and flexibility. The proposed method was comprehensively validated on multiple datasets. It achieved better accuracy and robustness than current baselines on the magnetic resonance (MR) images of 20 patients from public and clinical datasets. Moreover, the clinical patients' postoperative MR images were collected, and a preoperative-postoperative comparative study was carried out, which further proved the effectiveness of this method from a clinical perspective. Furthermore, this method has the potential to promote the development of BPH robotic surgery navigation and autonomy as well as improve the safety and efficiency of BPH surgery.

High-Contrast Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography Based on Normalized Complex Decorrelation

In this letter, a Sigmoid-shaped curve is proposed to enhance the contrast between blood vessels and static tissue in optical coherence tomography angiography. Different from the conventional parabolic curve, the Sigmoid-shaped function biases the decorrelation histogram towards both ends, which suppresses the static tissue background as well as enhances the flow signal in the blood vessels region. An intensity mask is generated to remove the decorrelation signal at the noise level and then the filtering method is used to improve the image quality. A white diffuse plate has been used and verified to remove the static background deeper when our method is applied, and the z-axis range of static signal increases from 27.3 mu m to 31.9 mu m, indicating the extent of decorrelation has been improved by 17%. We demonstrate that the contrast of vascular image of the mouse ear has been improved from 32.6 to 43.1, compared with the conventional decorrelation method.

Signal reconstruction from its power spectrum is an important technique widely useful in different application fields. However, uniqueness is generally hard to be guaranteed by usual approaches due to nonlinearity of the power spectrum measurement models. In this paper a very general structure of the 1-dimensonal signal with given power spectrum is established and some conditions are introduced to guarantee the uniqueness of solution in signal reconstruction on basis of this formulism. Such conditions are about one or more additional information of the signal component and two algorithms are established for signal construction. One of the algorithms is exact and another one is iterative and approximate, both can reach the real signal under the introduced conditions. © 2024 SPIE.

In this paper, a study is made on the distribution of noise spectrum characteristics of a 500 kV transformer operating at 80% and 100% of the rated current and 80% and 100% of the rated voltage. To improve the ability of identifying transformer noise in different factory conditions, the short-time strong correlation of line spectrum of transformer vibration noise is used to obtain high-quality reconstruction signal, the line spectrum SNR over detection threshold is extracted through CFAR processing, and 100 Hz and frequency doubling are identified. The test results show that the reconstruction signal is improved by 3-5 dB compared with the detected SNR of original line spectrum, and more vibration line spectrum can be extracted, thus providing more information about the line spectrum for diagnosis, monitoring and identification of transformer factory noise fault. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. Multiview reconstruction Using Phase Retrieval of Light Field Signals

Light field rendering is an effective multi-view reconstruction technology. The current multi-view reconstruction methods still have the problem of low view synthesis quality in complex scenes, such as occlusion and non Lambertian surfaces. In this article, we consider a undistorted multiview reconstruction and develop a phase retrieval method for light field (PRLF) signals to improve the rendering quality. Our approach utilizes the phase spectrum in both the time domain and frequency domain of the discrete light field because the phase of the light field carries more scene information. The phase corrections are "light field truncation" in the time domain and "phase replacement" in the frequency domain. The iterative algorithm used provides high-quality estimated results for the relative phase of the light field. By the estimated phase results, we derive a multiview reconstruction method to improve the rendering quality. Finally, to verify the claimed performance, we also compare the PRLF with the most advanced light field reconstruction algorithms. The experimental results show that the proposed PRLF outperforms other known reconstruction schemes.

The Sensitivity of Meta Distributions to Their Moments

While meta distribution (MD) reconstruction methods based on moments play an important role in analyzing wireless network performance, a critical gap exists in comprehending the impact and consequences of inaccurate moments on MD reconstructions. The reliability and robustness of these techniques remain unexplored. In this paper, we address this gap by analyzing the sensitivity of commonly used MD reconstruction methods to perturbations to moments and provide valuable guidelines for the application of these methods. Furthermore, we quantify the impact of inaccurate moments on MD reconstructions, examining the validity of perturbed moment sequences and demonstrating the critical importance of moment accuracy. Our investigation demonstrates the necessity for precise moment computation. Succinctly put, moment quality is preferred over moment quantity.

Acoustic Tomography of Temperature Field by Finite Element Method and Improved Singular Value Decomposition-Based Tikhonov Regularization

The reconstruction algorithms play an important role in acoustic thermometry and are a research hotspot. This paper proposes a novel reconstruction method to improve the accuracy of temperature field reconstruction methods based on acoustic tomography. First, three mesh models are constructed by using the finite element method, which overcomes the defects of oversimplified classical discretization models. Secondly, the coefficient matrix A of the acoustic thermometry forward problem is calculated offline, and then the temperature values of several points in the measurement are obtained by solving the inverse problem using the improved regularization method based on singular value decomposition. Finally, the temperature profile of the entire region is obtained through interpolation. The correctness and feasibility of the proposed method are validated through simulations and experimental testing with three different temperature fields. Results show that the proposed method has satisfactory reconstruction accuracy and provides a different solution for reconstructing the ultrasound temperature field.

Interchannel Antenna Pattern Correction for Azimuth Digital Beamforming in Airborne SAR

High-resolution wide swath (HRWS) synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems are normally designed to have identical antenna patterns in each receive channel. Nevertheless, due to different factors, this condition might not be satisfied, resulting in a multichannel radar system with different antenna patterns. This letter studies the impact of these relative antenna differences on the performance of a state-of-the-art azimuth motion-adaptive image reconstruction for a real airborne SAR sensor with multiple azimuth channels on receive. The performance of the reconstruction algorithm is evaluated both when these relative differences are neglected and when they are accounted for in the multichannel reconstruction process. Additionally, the range dependence of the antenna pattern as a function of wavenumber and the use of range block processing to minimize the impact of this dependence are analyzed. The results confirm the relevance of including these additional steps in the reconstruction, extending the understanding of SAR systems using digital beamforming (DBF) in azimuth.
