The methods of electrodynamics calculation and PC modeling of the electromagnetic field structure of TE- and TM-waves are derived. The problem is solved.. the method of partial regions including field singularity at the edge. Using this program modules we can modeling on the PC electromagnetic field structure of TE- and TM-waves in three types of waveguides: rectangular Waveguide with Two L-Shaped Septa, rectangular Waveguide with Two Antipodal L-Shaped Septa, rectangular Waveguide with four L-Shaped Septa. The cutoff wave numbers, the electromagnetic field structures of different types of TE- and TM waves of the waveguide are calculated.

Analytical expressions for calculation the dominant mode cutoff wavelengths of rectangular waveguides with one and two T-septa with central symmetrical placement of dielectric slabs in their capacitance gaps are obtained in quasi-static approximation on a basis of equivalent network method. Results of calculation of normalized cutoff wavelength of the lowest mode of rectangular waveguide with T-septum with the central symmetrical placement of dielectric slab in its capacitance gap obtained by using the method of equivalent networks and the finite element method are compared.

The paper deals with the problem of eigenoscillations near the obstacle with the arbitrary sufficiently smooth shape of boundary immersed in three-dimensional waveguide of rectangular cross-section. Assumed that the guide and the obstacle are rigid. For a wide range of the obstacle geometry the existence of eigenwaves has been proved and their frequencies are embedded in the continuous spectrum.

A generalization of the Mode Matching Method (MMM) to combine radial waveguides and guides with axial uniformity is presented. When using this generalized MMM, geometries composed of parts described in a cylindrical coordinate system, and parts described in A rectangular coordinate system, are easily analyzed in the same circuital theory frame. The key of the method is the analysis of a virtual circuit that describes the interaction between cylindrical waves and radial waves and the use of it as building block. The analysis of this virtual circuit is performed though variational formulation based on the concept of reaction.

The field distributions of various modes in rectangular waveguides filled with uniaxial media are presented. The presented cases include aligned cases when the optic axis is parallel to one of the coordinate axes and the tilted cases when the optic axis is not parallel to any of the coordinate axes but still lies within one of the two side-wall planes. In the aligned uniaxial-z case the analytical solution is compared with the results of the dyadic green's functions (DGF). In other aligned cases the field distributions of selected extra-ordinary wave modes are also plotted and to be compared with the isotropic case. In the tilted cases, the field distributions of the hybrid modes which are coupled ordinary-waves and extra-ordinary waves show asymmetry which is not seen in the aligned cases and isotropic case. The validity of the hybrid mode field plots are verified by comparing a limiting tilted case with analytical solutions of an aligned case.

Characteristics of the rectangular waveguides with curved corners is studied. For describing the geometry of the curved-corner rectangular waveguides, the superquadric form is applied. The Ravleigh-Ritz method is used to study the characteristics of the curved corner waveguide. Finally the results are compared with those obtained by Ritz-Galerkin method and step approximations.
This paper investigates forming rectangular waveguides using printed circuit boards, which would potentially offer an extremely cheap and reliable means of providing a low loss transmission line for high frequency sys...

In this paper we present an efficient and accurate CAD procedure for the full-wave characterization of in- line coaxial excitations of rectangular waveguides. For the sake of analysis, the structure is decomposed into the cascade of uniform waveguide sections. The complete structure is then analvzed using the multiniode admittance method. A very efficient technique is used for the evaluation of the modes and of the coupling integrals. In addition to theory. measured results are also presented thereby fully validating the proposed procedure.
