Nowadays, three kinds of Geo-processing Workflow implementation mechanism are concerned under Sensor Web environment: process chain mode based on Sensor Modeling Language (SensorML), service chain mode base on Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) and resource chain mode based on XML Process Definition Language (XPDL). In order to achieve the interoperability of the above three heterogeneous Geo-Processing Workflow, the resource oriented architecture (ROA) approach for Geo-Processing Workflow is proposed in this paper. A scenario for fire hot pixel detection workflow under Earth Observation-1 (EO-1) Sensor Web data service developed by CSISS Sensor Web project is used to test the feasibility of the proposed framework. The experiments show that this framework can achieve the interoperability between BPEL based GPW and XPDL based GPW.

The vision of the Internet of Things (IoT) foresees a future Internet incorporating smart physical objects that offer hosted functionality as IoT services. These services when integrated with the traditional enterprise level services form the creation of ambient intelligence for a wide range of applications. To facilitate seamless access and service life cycle management of large, distributed and heterogeneous IoT resources, service oriented computing and resource oriented approaches have been widely used as promising technologies. However, a reference architecture integrating IoT services into either of these two technologies is still an open research challenge. In this article, we adopt the resource oriented approach to provide an end-to-end integration architecture of front-end IoT devices with the back-end business process applications. The proposed architecture promises a programmer friendly access to IoT services, an event management mechanism to propagate context information of IoT devices, a service replacement facility upon service failure, and a decentralized execution of the IoT aware business processes. In this work, we propose a resource-oriented architecture of a rational agent for network intrusion detection. We have designed this architecture based on the well-known IRMA architecture. The proposed architecture describes the behavior of a rational agent after detecting a network intrusion. Then it describes the creation of countermeasures to ward off detected threats. Examples are created based on the proposed architecture, describing the implementation of a rational agent detection. We have described these examples by proposed linear BDI logic behavioral formulae, that have been proven in Gentzen sequent calculus.

EPC Information Service (EPCIS) is a de-facto standard for visibility event/master data in supply chains, and the standard is widely known as a key solution to achieve object traceability. Despite its expressive power, this information service is prone to make application developers write queries redundantly and recursively, especially in distributed environments;additionally, it is hard for business partners to protect sensitive business contexts in each object level due to its event-oriented persistence approach. Therefore, we propose a graph-oriented persistence approach for the visibility data to achieve efficient and privacy-enhanced object traceability based on unified and linked EPCIS events. Drug prescription and administration processes strongly impact on the occurrence of risks in medical settings for they can be sources of adverse drug events (ADEs). A properly engineered use of information and communication technologies has proven to be a promising approach to reduce these risks. In this study, we propose PHARMA, a web information system which supports healthcare staff in the secure cooperative execution of drug prescription, transcription and registration tasks. PHARMA allows the easy sharing and management of documents containing drug-related information (i.e., drug prescriptions, medical reports, screening), which is often inconsistent and scattered across different information systems and heterogeneous organization domains (e.g., departments, other hospital facilities). PHARMA enables users to access such information in a consistent and secure way, through the adoption of REST and web-oriented design paradigms and protocols. We describe the implementation of the PHARMA prototype, and we discuss the results of the usability evaluation that we carried out with the staff of a hospital in Florence, Italy.

Internet-of-Things (IoT) and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications provide great opportunities to connect various devices, such as sensors and actuators, and to collect and process the gathered data. This in turn, enables the types of services making smart homes and intelligent transportation applications a reality. For applications or services from different verticals (e.g., smart home and smart transportation) to share and re-use information, and to collaborate with each other, interworking and interoperability have become essential. However, interworking and interoperability across verticals have not yet been fully addressed in the context of M2M/IoT. With the focus on sharing data between different applications and services, semantics is considered an ideal technique to provide a common base for interworking and interoperation. In this paper, a novel architecture is proposed for integrating semantics into an M2M/IoT service delivery platform (SDP). The proposed open architecture is flexible and extensible, as the semantics can be integrated in different ways with various types of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), which allows the utilization of different types of protocols. A use case study is also provided to highlight how to utilize semantics service integrated into the M2M/IoT service platform for interworking and interoperability.

Organizations, companies and Web platforms hold large amounts of unused data. These data are trapped in separate data sources, locked up in legacy formats and only reachable through several different protocols, making usage difficult. It is therefore necessary to manage this multiplicity of data sources in order to build a solution able to combine this multi-origin data into a coherent smart data set. We define a meta-model and models to describe data source diversity in a flexible way. We therefore propose an adaptive architecture that generates data integration workflows at runtime. We evaluate our approach to offer scalability, responsiveness, and dynamic and transparent data source management. We apply our approach in a live scenario from a French company to show how it adapts to industrial needs and facilitates smart data production and reuse. This paper describes our models and strategies and presents our resource-oriented architecture.

Modern Single-Page Applications (SPA) use data from multiple Web services to support essential process in the enterprises. By using data from several Web services, the SPA changed their architecture from a one-to-one communication between client and server to an application using information from multiple servers using RESTfuls APIs in a microservice architecture. In this paper, we present a model-driven approach for the consumption of RESTful Web services in SPA. We introduce a Query Service meta-model and provide a tool to semi-automatically generate an SPA based on our reference architecture. The proposed approach was evaluated by using the tool for the development of an example application in the context of a research project with large German corporation in the domain of software architecture. The main limitation of the tool is the lack of support for the round-trip engineering functionality. However, the created Web service handles the access to APIs and reduces the complexity of the SPA due to the shift of responsibility away from the client.

There aren't complex business processes, but there is a lot of data which should be shared among the applications of middle or small enterprises. According to the principle and norm of SOA and ROA, the application architecture is built to fit this situation, in which the resources and their basic operations are packaged to Web Services, and a framework is used to invoke Web Services dynamically. The data and its operations arc published in the form of Web Service. It can be shared among the application of the enterprise fully and safely. Because the security of the data can be realized through the security of Web Services and the data can be visited and operated when it is authorized. The framework is added to let calling Web Service easily, and the business logic is built using the services easily. The business logic can be packaged to new Web Services, and it makes the distributed compute and parallel compute realize well. And the hardware of enterprise will be used fully.
