Software metrics has significant scope in the software quality and productivity measurement. In this work the competence of rule accuracy algorithm is enhanced by the Fitness Proportionate selection algorithm that has been previously applied to genetic algorithm as potential recombination of selection, which overcomes the ant colony algorithms multiple path issue. The work analyzes the adequacy of rule accuracy algorithm to validate whether the ant colony algorithm or Fitness Proportionate selection algorithm provide best results. Experimental result shows interesting conclusions on the improvements of the rule accuracy algorithm in Fitness Proportionate selection algorithm. It also opens up new areas of research on the efficiency and effectiveness of software metrics validation.

Transparent data flow metrics and control flow metrics had no main concern which to be handled by a compiler. Nowadays similar hardware and multithreaded coding is increased. Consequently, both data flow and control flow become more important in analyses the reusability and maintainability. The present analysis of source code and the ability of metrics are incompetent to predict the actual amount of information flow complexity in the modules. In this work, object oriented metric IF-C focuses on the improved information flow complexity estimation method, which is used to evaluate the data flows in object oriented source code and decrease the effort of maintainability and reusability. The object oriented information flow complexity incorporates various internal and external flows in object orientation. The adequacy of software metrics is validated by the rule accuracy algorithm which is based on rule induction technique. The technique applied in the software metrics dataset that has been selected using fitness proportionate selection algorithm. The competence and efficacy of the software metrics have verified by the predefined rules. The rules have if and then clause which hold metrics adequacy standards. (C) 2012 Elsevier Ltd. Complexity affects the productivity in the defined procedure to reduce the complexity of programs the various techniques have been analyzed. Complexity measure identifies the complex and error-prone area of code segment. It is based on indentation, naming convention, number of IFs, WHILEs, FORs the number of ANDs, ORs and NOTs in the code. Software metrics plays an important role in the software evaluation. In this work the adequacy of software metrics is validated by the proposed rule accuracy algorithm which is based on rule induction technique. In the context of predefined rules the efficiency and effectiveness of software metrics is also analyzed. The rules contain if and then clause which hold metrics excellence criterion. Information flow metrics used as data set for the adequacy evaluation. The evaluation processed with flexible outcome and it proves the rule accuracy algorithm is an efficient validation technique.
