Today, as the world economy and human society continue to develop, people's material living standards are getting higher and higher, and more and more technological achievements are integrated into people's production and life, with smart homes being one of them. Based on the needs of general households, a multifunctional home controller is developed using microcontroller and electronic sensing technology, with stm32 as the core. At the same time, by combining with the SmartCloud platform and using household WiFi as the main communication method, the controller is able to detect temperature, humidity, air quality of the household environment, and activate automatic opening and closing of curtains with a light sensor, as well as remote monitoring through a mobile app. Finally, the experiment verifies the low cost of development, configuration, and maintenance, as well as the convenience of use of this stm32-based multifunctional home smart controller. © 2023 IEEE.

In the context of today's era, private and efficient identity recognition systems are widely applied, and more traditional security systems are moving towards intelligent and informational development. As a result, intelligent electronic locks have gradually entered people's lives, transforming from simple password locks to embody technological advancements, subtly changing people's habits. This design presents an intelligent electronic lock based on the stm32 microcontroller, which implements multiple unlocking methods such as password unlocking, fingerprint unlocking, RFID card unlocking, and Bluetooth unlocking. This intelligent electronic lock, controlled through touch and mobile devices like smartphones, greatly enhances the user experience in terms of control. Compared to traditional locks, it not only ensures the original security but also adds more functions that align with the present era, facilitating and enriching people's lives. It holds practical significance in real-world applications. © 2023 IEEE.

Research and Development of U‐shaped Glass Tube Fuel Density Meter Based on stm32 microcontroller

For the problems of poor portability, low accuracy, poor anti‐interference ability and calibration difficulties of liquid density meter, this paper designs and develops a U-shaped quartz vibration tube technology based on stm32 microcontroller to achieve fuel density measurement. According to different liquids whose own quality is different, when the liquid fills the U‐shaped quartz tube, it will affect the U‐shaped quartz tube oscillation frequency, and then the frequency signal will be amplified by the op‐amp amplifier circuit, and then the stm32 microcontroller will collect and convert its oscillation frequency into the density of the liquid to be measured by the density calculation formula. The experimental results show that the method makes the liquid densitometer accurate to 0.02 g/ml, repeatability ±0.02 g/ml, stability and reproducibility are effectively improved, easy to carry and simple to calibrate.

In this paper, a fuzzy-PID controller is proposed to regulate the movement of two wheels balancing robot. The fuzzy-PID controller is a combination of a fuzzy controller and PID controllers for the balancing and movement or distance of the two wheels balancing robot. The fuzzy controller is designed based on relation models for the robot's balancing. The PID controllers are proposed to control the robot's position. The whole fuzzy-PID is ported and run on a real-time operating system using an stm32F4 Discovery Kit. The received results showed advantages of the fuzzy-PID controller.

This paper describes the development of singlephase rectifier with different switching technique for current feedback control using stm32F411RE microcontroller. This new type of microcontroller has been developed by ST company. Typically, this microcontroller only uses ST language to operate. But, in this paper, MATLAB Simulink tools proved that it can also be the programming language for this microcontroller. stm32F411RE was tested in rectifier application which included the special needs for the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) switching algorithm to the converter such as time delay and trigonometric functions. For time delay application, the Proportional (P) control was used to control the current output and minimize the error for PWM signal. Meanwhile, the Proportional Integral (PI) control system was used for the trigonometric function, which also able to generate the PWM with time delay. It had been proved that the current can be controlled, and thus the rectifier using current control feedback was achieved through simulation and experimental verification by using this microcontroller.

Model Predictive Control (MPC) is increasingly being proposed for real time application to provide flexible device monitoring and it has become an advanced development trend of embedded technologies. In this paper, practical application of predictive algorithm is proposed to control a thermal system in real time using the high performance processor stm32. The control algorithm is obtained by the implementation of the MPC in this industrial standard hardware, using Keil development tools designed for ARM processor-based microcontroller devices. Based on experimental results, a comparative analysis proves the effectiveness and the advantages of the MPC algorithm compared to PI controller.

IoT-enhanced battery management system for real-time SoC and SoH monitoring using stm32-based programmable electronic load

Electronic dummy loads (EDLs) are essential for characterizing the discharge behavior of batteries and power supplies. Accurate battery performance monitoring is critical for applications ranging from renewable energy storage to electric vehicles. This study presents the design and implementation of an advanced, low-cost EDL integrated with Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities using Espressif Systems Platform (ESP) -based microcontrollers, specifically the NodeMCU or ESP32. The primary objective is to monitor lithium-ion battery packages' state of charge (SoC) and state of health (SoH). The designed system maintains a constant current during discharge, ensuring precise capacity measurement despite the decreasing voltage levels of batteries. This feature is essential for accurately determining the battery's capacity and health status. The integration with IoT networks significantly enhances the functionality of the device. Using the ESP-based microcontroller, real-time voltage, current, and power data is transmitted to an online platform, allowing for remote monitoring and data logging. This capability not only improves the accessibility and usability of the system but also facilitates long-term data analysis and performance tracking. The developed dummy load system is versatile, supporting both single-cell batteries and multiple-cell configurations. The adjustable current selection property allows it to draw a constant current from batteries, making it suitable for various applications. Simulation and real-world application results demonstrate the system's effectiveness, providing reliable SoC and SoH information. Our results underscore the potential of integrating IoT technologies with battery monitoring systems, offering enhanced monitoring, improved accuracy, and the convenience of remote access. This innovative, cost-effective approach can significantly contribute to developing more intelligent and reliable battery-powered systems.

Novel rapid control prototyping for permanent magnet synchronous motor via model-based design and stm32 chip

As control algorithms become increasingly sophisticated, delivering improved performance at the expense of greater complexity, practical experiments often become unfeasible. To address this challenge, this study introduces a novel rapid control prototyping (NRCP) approach based on model-based design (MBD) using MATLAB/Simulink, stm32CubeMX software, and field-oriented control strategies for permanent magnet synchronous motors. Compared with existing rapid control prototyping methods, our NRCP design offers several advantages: it simplifies model construction by utilizing only basic Simulink modules, minimizes dependency on MATLAB/Simulink toolboxes by only requiring Embedded Code conversion to C language, and ensures strong compatibility as the experimental code involves only C language. To demonstrate the feasibility and efficiency of this approach, sensor-based and sensorless control models were developed using the MBD method. The practicality of the NRCP was successfully validated through sensor-based and sensorless experiments using an ARM Cortex-M4-based stm32 microcontroller.

Seismic geophone is the key instrument for seismic data acquisition in the fields of oil and gas exploration and other relevant *** plays an important role in data quality,subsequent processing and *** at the shortcomings of the existing geophones,such as large volume,heavy weight,unable to monitor in real-time,and heavy workload of data transmission and storage,this paper designs and implements a wireless geophone based on stm32 embedded *** is mainly composed of stm32 microcontroller,acceleration sensor,global positioning system(GPS)module,Wi-Fi module and real-time seismic data receiving and processing ***,the acceleration of vibration in three directions is sensed by the acceleration sensor;secondly,the sampling and analog-to-digital conversion of the vibration data is controlled by the microcontroller;thirdly,the vibration and GPS data are sent to the personal computer(PC)through Wi-Fi,and the personal coomputer PC-side software module completes the reception,display,monitoring and storage of the seismic data;finally,the feasibility and effectiveness of the designed wireless geophone are verified through actual seismic data acquisition experiments.
