This paper is concerned with the dissipative problem based pinning sampled-data control scheme. We investigate the problem for function projective synchronization of neural networks with hybrid couplings and time-varying delays. The main purpose is focused on designing a pinning sampled-data function projective synchronization controller such that the resulting function projective synchronization neural networks are stable and satisfy a strictly H-infinity, L-2 - L-infinity, passivity and dissipativity performance by setting parameters in the general performance index. It is assumed that the parameter uncertainties are norm-bounded. By construction of an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii containing single, double and triple integrals, which fully utilize information of the neuron activation function and use refined Jensen's inequality for checking the passivity of the addressed neural networks are established in linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). This result is less conservative than the existing results in literature. It can be checked numerically using the effective LMI toolbox in MATLAB. Numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness and the merits of the proposed methods.

This article investigates the sampled-data control design for single-master multi-slave teleoperation systems with stochastic actuator faults and time-varying delays. At first, the nonlinear bilateral teleoperation systems are modeled as Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems through membership functions. The decentralized sampled-data control technique is proposed with actuator faults occurring in both master and slave robots. Here, the stochastic faults satisfy certain probability conditions and the forward and backward delays between the master and slaves are time-variant and asymmetric. Next, the delay-dependent Lyapunov- Krasovskii functionals (LKFs) are constructed for the proposed fuzzy model to obtain sufficient stability conditions in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI). Finally, the reliability and superiority of the proposed method are illustrated by numerical results.(c) 2022 International Association for Mathematics and Computers in Simulation (IMACS). In this paper, the stability problem of truncated sampled-data control systems with average characteristics in the limiting state is studied. We introduce two new concepts denoted by "limiting average sampling interval" and "limiting average truncation length", which overcome the constraints on the upper and lower bounds of the sampling interval. In particular, the influence of impulse effects on the stability of truncated sampled-data control systems is further studied. In addition, combined with the average impulse gain method, the impulse gain of the truncated sampled-data system at the truncation instant and sampling instant is considered globally. Finally, an example is given to verify the validity and corresponding advantages of the obtained results.

This paper explores the sampled-data synchronization of systems in delayed neural networks that exhibit both neuron transmission delays and network transmission delays. It introduces Lyapunov functionals that include loopedfunctionals for the delays and augmented terms for the synchronization error, represented as (e) over tilde (T)(s) (t) = [<(e)over dot>(T)(s) (t) e(s)(t)]. Additionally, zero equalities for these augmented terms and the use of slack variables help relax conditions within the Lyapunov functionals, thereby yielding less conservative results. Furthermore, time-varying delays are considered in constructing the Lyapunov functionals. A quadratic function is defined to ensure the derivative of the Lyapunov functional remains negative over the interval t is an element of [t(k), t(k+1)). The stabilization criterion are expressed as LMIs based on the proposed Lyapunov functionals and relaxations. The sampled-data controller obtained through these LMIs successfully achieves network synchronization. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed methods compared to several existing techniques, thereby demonstrating the advantages of the proposed approach.

In this paper, the sampled-data control problem is studied for asynchronously switched linear systems (SLSs) without minimum dwell time (MDT) constraints. The asynchronous phenomenon exists due to that the information of system mode can be acquired only at the sampling instant. First, a sufficient condition of global asymptotic stability (GAS) is presented for sampled-date switched control systems with a novel class of switching signals, which allows the switching number to be a non-affine function of time, and does not involve any point-wise bound on the switching number. Moreover, unlike the existing literature concerned with sampled-data control problem of switched systems, the MDT constraints are removed. We allow that no sampling happens between two adjacent switching instants, which makes the results more applicable to practice. Then, a sufficient condition checking the existence of sampled-data controllers is presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, it is shown by a boost converter circuit system that the designed sampled-data controller and switching signals can stabilize the system cooperatively.

In this article, the stability analysis problem of networked linear systems with decentralized sampled-data controllers is considered. The networks under consideration are composed of interconnected identical systems. A dissipativity-based approach is utilized to analyze stability, grounded in an interconnection interpretation. A structure exploiting and scalable approach is employed to derive a sufficient stability condition for large-scale linear systems, which is independent of the number of subsystems. In the analysis, the effects of uncertainty on the system models, which include uncertainties that render the coupled systems nonidentical, aperiodic sampling, and a switching network topology, are taken into account. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the main result and simulate the sampled-data system.

This article investigates the reliable fuzzy sampled-data control issue of nonlinear vehicle suspension systems subject to actuator faults. Considering the high nonlinear characteristics in the springs and the shock absorbers, the Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy method is utilized to describe the nonlinear suspension system. To deal with the discrete phenomenon of nonuniform sampling, an inputdelay is employed to convert the continuous-discrete suspension system into a continuous-time form. Motivated by the above system model, a Lyapunov functional candidate is employed to obtain sufficient conditions that can meet system stability and performance requirements simultaneously. Furthermore, a novel two-step optimization algorithm is proposed for the sampled-data controller design in the structure of output feedback. Finally, experimental tests are implemented via an active suspension test rig, and the test results illustrate that the proposed method contributes greatly to improve the ride comfort, handling performance, and road holding capability simultaneously.

This paper examines the unified dissipative performance of Offshore Steel Jacket Platforms (OSJPs) which include actuator failures and probabilistic delays, through a resilient and reliable sampled-data controller. In detail, random variables fetching the Bernoulli distribution are treated in particular for the stochastic time-delays. By implementing the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functions(LKF) together with the Second Order Bessel-Legendre Inequality Technique (SOBLIT) and an improved Reciprocally Convex Inequality (RCI) approach, which provides impressive information about sampling to guarantee that the OSJP is unified dissipative. The proposed criterion is exhibited in the sort of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) and highlights of this study is to examine the multi-dynamic interpretation of OSJP with extended dissipativity indices. The advantage of the established methodology is explored for OSJPs with the existing results, which is carried out along with the proposed control law, using their values of the experimental parameters.

Nonlinear controls designed in continuous time suffer from an increasing model mismatch and performance degradation when implemented in sampled-data control loops at relatively low sampling rates. The model mismatch is reduced when higher order numerical integration is used as modeling basis to describe the open-loop and the desired closedloop dynamics. We recently presented a modular and minimally invasive way to implement continuously designed nonlinear controls with high accuracy in discrete time based on GaussLegendre collocation. In this paper, we show how the main drawback of the latter approach, highly discontinuous control signals, is removed by using piecewise cubic spline interpolation, or equivalently, Lobatto collocation. We present the rationale behind our approach, set up the nonlinear systems of equations for the required one-step predictions of the target dynamics, and discuss several relations between Hermite, Lobatto and Gauss collocation. On a benchmark nonlinear simulation example, we illustrate and discuss the performance of the approach with increasing sampling times.

Adaptive Fuzzy Decentralized sampled-data control for Large-Scale Nonlinear Systems

This article proposes a sampled-data adaptive fuzzy decentralized output feedback control method for the uncertain nonstrict feedback large-scale interconnected systems whose nonlinear functions are completely unknown and whose states are unavailable for control design. With the help of fuzzy logical systems in identifying the unknown nonlinear functions, and by considering the sampling strategy, a novel sampled-data nonlinear state observer has been designed to approximate the immeasurable state variables, which only contains the output sampling information of the system to be controlled. Furthermore, to avoid the problem of "explosion of complexity" caused by the frequently using the derivative of the virtual controller, the nonlinear filter has been considered under the strategy of the sampled data. Based on Lyapunov theory, a sampled-data adaptive fuzzy decentralized output feedback backstepping control strategy was proposed under the framework of recursive design and sampled-data strategy. The designed sampled-data controller is able to guarantee that all closed-loop signals are semiglobally uniformly ultimately bounded. Two simulation examples are eventually provided to validate the effectiveness of the theoretical findings.
