This work proposes a GA-PSO Metaheuristic Algorithm to improve the throughputs and network efficiency of the UWSNs based on using a new technology of WSNs which is Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks. In response to the difficulties of underwater communication, a hybrid GA-PSO algorithm is designed to fit the needs, where GA excels in search capabilities, and PSO accomplishes optimization adjustments. The realistic network model was developed using realistic network topology with MATLAB NS-3 and the integrated GA-PSO hybrid approach was found to significantly enhance the throughput energy efficiency and overall network lifetime as compared to the other routing protocols GA & PSO individually. Based on these findings, it could therefore be concluded that the proposed hybrid bioinspired algorithms can potentially help enhance the efficiency and dependability of UWSNs significantly.

This study introduces an improved SVD denoising method based on the decomposition of the Hankel matrix. This method denoises by analyzing the singular value spectrum of the Hankel matrix, where larger singular values typically represent components with higher coherence in the data, and smaller singular values correspond to less coherent parts. By selecting different rank reduction parameters based on the characteristics of the processed data, this method achieves noise reduction and enhances SNR. Subsequently, a two-dimensional seismic data model is constructed to validate this algorithm. The key to this algorithm is determining the truncation position of the singular value matrix (rank reduction parameter), and the optimal rank reduction parameter is efficiently found using the energy ratio. Practical case studies have shown a significant improvement in the SNR of incoherent data, effectively suppressing random noise and improving the denoising effect for non-horizontal coherent axes. Overall, the Hankel matrix construction method effectively suppresses random noise while maintaining high fidelity of the signal data.

Due to the compact design of dual sensor handheld systems, it should be taken into account criteria being limited place, the necessity of low power consumption and low cost for system design. However, the control boards of these systems contain a complex architecture to achieve precision timing, signal processing and visualizations. Generally, it has been used FPGA and embedded computer to design these complex architectures. In this paper, a low cost and high efficiency embedded control and signal processor architecture design for hand-held GPR and EMI sensors is described using ARM-based microcontrollers only. The proposed architecture of a hand-held detector can achieve high processing capability, LCD drive and visualization of 2D GPR screen. In addition, the module can detect buried objects such as elongated cable, metallic and non-metallic targets with high accuracy.

Entirely common sleep disorder is the dangerous wakefulness (Apnea) of breathing during snoring. In this study, we explore the possibility of how medical image processing can be useful and accurate method for sleep disordered breathing detection. The new approach named as Sleep Apnea Analyzing Strategy (SAAS) is firstly tested with the help of existing method namely Image base Sleep Apnea Analyzer (ISAA) that use less number or data to be processed and hence running on portable device delivering results much faster than other available methods, both being cross-validated against each other. Sleep Apnea Image-based Detector using Ephysiology - A new Algorithm (SAAS) We rely on sophisticated image processing techniques to extract relevant characteristics from medical images (such as x-rays, CT scans or MRIs) which are indicative of patterns typically associated with sleep apnea. The proposed methodology includes image preprocessing to improve the quality of images, feature extraction for quantification and characterization of all relevant information during OSA trials in GUI interface through well-known classification algorithms to classify patients with at least 20 de-saturations without sleep apnea. Our research aims to help in the creation of automatic diagnostic methods that will lead to early detection and treatment for sleep apnea. Our objective with this work is to provide a fair evaluation of the proposed technique in terms of sensitivity, specificity and accuracy through using a large dataset.

After the grounding high-impedance fault occurs in the distribution network, the fault current is weak, and the traditional protection cannot effectively identify and remove the fault in time. Therefore, in the event of a distribution network line fault, a fast and reliable fault location method is required to achieve accurate fault point location. Over recent decades, Travelling Wave (TW)-based fault location techniques have gained significant traction. However, prevailing TW methods entail excessive computational resource utilization within the signal processing algorithm for wave head extraction, prompting the need for a novel approach characterized by rapid response times and heightened positional precision. This study introduces a TW wave head identification algorithm leveraging a high-pass filter for seamless extraction of the wave head by filtering out low-frequency signal fluctuations. Furthermore, to enhance precision in fault localization, a double-ended methodology is employed for precise fault determination. In this paper, the theoretical design of the method is introduced in detail, and the effectiveness of the method is tested on the simulation model of single-phase grounding fault of distribution line of neutral ungrounded system established in PSCAD, and the reliability of the method is fully revealed by comparing with the commonly used TW wave head extraction technologies based on wavelet transform and single-ended TW positioning method.

The navigation enhancement signals in communication and navigation integration signals are characterized by limited spectrum resources and non-continuous transmission; For the high-dynamic, short-burst navigation enhancement signals in the L-band of low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites, an improved segmented Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) two-stage time-frequency domain two-dimensional fast acquisition method is proposed; Through the two-stage segmented coherent FFT acquisition process, the arrival time of the navigation enhancement signal and the signal Doppler shift estimation are obtained simultaneously, enabling fast and real-time signal acquisition processing in LEO scenarios; Simulation results demonstrate that when the signal carrier-to-noise ratio is above 48 dBHz, the fast acquisition algorithm can adapt to signal Doppler shifts of ±40 kHz and accommodate short-burst transmission modes, with the signal Doppler estimation error controlled within ±80 Hz and the signal arrival time estimation error controlled within ±0.5 chip.

In modern warfare and civilian applications, the rapid adaptability and high configurability of radar systems have become an urgent requirement. The limitations of traditional radar systems, particularly in terms of processing capabilities, adaptability, and power efficiency, call for a new solution. To address this, this paper proposes a radar system design that combines Radio Frequency System-on-Chip (RFSoC) technology with reconfigurable computing. This design aims to provide performance and functionality surpassing traditional radar architectures through integrated high-performance hardware and flexible software configurations. Leveraging the high integration capabilities of RFSoC, our design achieves seamless connectivity from the analog front-end to the digital back-end, allowing high-speed data acquisition, real-time signal processing, and multi-channel data synchronization to be accomplished on a single chip, significantly enhancing the overall efficiency of the system. This study elaborates on the hardware architecture design and software architecture design of the radar system, introducing the RFSoC-based multi-channel synchronization mechanism and wideband calibration technology. We employ a precise clock synchronization network and complex algorithms to ensure signal synchronization and consistency across the entire spectrum, enabling the system to support wideband operations and provide high-resolution radar imaging. By implementing a digital beamforming (DBF) algorithm based on fast Fourier transform (FFT), the system can process target signals from multiple directions and offers a software-defined approach to quickly adapt to new operational modes and task requirements. Experimental results demonstrate that the radar system not only achieves high-precision multi-beam transmission and reception in the 11 to 12 GHz frequency band but also exhibits outstanding performance in multi-target tracking and wideband signal processing. This paper introduces a novel method for the efficient recognition of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using an electronic nose (e-nose) device coupled with advanced signal processing and classification techniques. The proposed e-nose is a cost-effective sensor array designed to detect a broad spectrum of VOCs with applications in several domains including industrial safety. Data collected from the sensors are processed using the Filter Diagonalization Method (FDM), a novel non-Fourier spectral estimation algorithm that provides reliable footprints from the VOCs. The classification stage employs a Random Forest (RF) model to analyze the FDM footprints and predict the VOC present in the e-nose’s surroundings. Experimental results show that the FDM-RF approach achieves a 96.4% classification accuracy.

Centrality is a frequently used metric in graph theory that identifies the dominance values of nodes. In this study, the Malatya Centrality Algorithm, which approaches graph centrality from a new perspective, has been proposed. To calculate the centrality of a node in the graph, the ratio of the node’s degree to the degrees of its neighboring nodes was computed and these ratios were summed. The results of the proposed algorithm were compared with established centrality algorithms in the literature and tested on well-known social networks such as Zachary’s karate club, the dolphin social network, and the zebra network. The tests and analyses conducted demonstrate that the Malatya Centrality Algorithm is an effective and successful centrality algorithm.

In this paper, we design a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation for the demand of China's regional aviation and maritime coverage. Based on real data and stochastic geometry theory, we model the aviation and maritime communication requirements with H3 grid. Combining beam hopping technology and Walker Delta configuration, we design the system model consisting of the LEO satellite-aviation and maritime (A&M) network. Then, we propose an integer optimization problem to minimize the number of satellites. Considering the nonlinear effect of the satellite number on the constellation coverage capability, we design an integer search algorithm based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) to solve the problem. Simulation results indicate the advantage of beam hopping technology for saving system capacity and the influence of bandwidth and beam resources on reducing the number of satellites. Based on the results, we find that the optimal altitude of satellites is determined by the beam capacity, and the optimal inclination should lean the communication resources to latitudes with high traffic.
