In current digital age, the Internet of Things (IoT) plays a critical role in real-time data perception and computation in order to better manage the system in an automated manner. In this work, we will present the edge computing concept of IoT architecture, which increases the efficiency of complicated application processing and is known as fog computing. The rapid expansion of computing resources may be regarded to improve real-time data capabilities such as detection, capture, collecting, and processing across billions of linked devices and support a range of applications such as smart wearable devices, smart meters, and smart homes. The advancement of big data technologies makes it simpler to process and analyze massive volumes of IoT data. Smart devices continue to confront a number of problems in terms of computational power, memory storage, batteries, and frequency bandwidth, all of which degrade their Quality of Service (QoS) and user activities. Fog-embedded cloud computing is viewed as a computer paradigm that alleviates the fixed resource load for smart equipment by allowing end-users to develop programs with flexible resources at the lowest possible cost in terms of architecture, software, and platforms.

In order to solve the problem of radio navigation and satellite navigation in complex environment, combined with the advantages of magnetic field signal anti-interference resistance and penetration, for the traditional magnetic positioning algorithm in the permanent magnet field error shortage, this paper proposes the second order magnetic gradient tensor permanent magnet positioning algorithm based on double magnetic dipole. First, a cylindrical permanent magnet model with rubidium ferroboron is established in Comsol software and the magnetic field distribution is simulated. Then, the one step metric tensor matrix, second step gradient tensor matrix, one step metric tensor localization, and second order gradient tensor localization principles are derived from the magnetic dipole model. Based on the hexaheon measurement array, the first-and second-order magnetic gradient tensors are measured using the three-point formula in numerical differential knowledge. Based on the traditional second-order gradient tensor localization algorithm, the permanent magnet is equivalent to two magnetic dipole models centered on the permanent magnet, and we derive the permanent dipole localization algorithm based on double magnetic dipoles. Finally, the new algorithm was validated using the cylindrical permanent magnet model in Comsol software combined with Matlab software. The results show that the second-order magnetic gradient algorithm based on two magnetic dipole can effectively improve the incoming localization accuracy of permanent magnet, and thus improve the robustness of permanent magnet localization system.

Currently, Photovoltaic (PV) technology has higher demand in the market and gaining momentum day by day. However, partial shading is the most significant concern as it reduces the efficiency of standalone PV systems. Partially shading is typically induced by non-uniform sunlight and uncertain temperature fluctuations. The maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms play a major role in determining the overall system's efficiency. The PV system creates several peaks in its power voltage (P-V) characteristic curve under partial shadowing. To make the PV system run under partial shading at global maximum power point (GMPP), the dragonfly optimization (DFO) algorithm is put forward in this research article. The proposed DFO technique and other commonly used MPPT techniques, such as Particle swarm optimization (PSO), Perturb and Observe (P&O), is investigated through theoretical analysis and simulation using Matlab/Simulink to authenticate the overall performance of the DFO approach under partial shading. Furthermore, the comparison demonstrates that the suggested DFO strategy provides very high reliability, efficiency, robustness, rapid power tracking and lower response time to trace the GMPP than PSO and P&O techniques. Hence, the DFO technique's overall performance under partial shading is appropriate and satisfying.

In order to relieve the pressure of airspace and optimize the allocation of airspace resources, the traffic prediction method is studied. This paper proposes a least squares support vector machine (LSSVM) prediction method based on the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, which optimizes the relevant parameters in the least squares support vector machine by the particle swarm algorithm to construct a PSO-LSSVM waypoint traffic prediction model. The ADS-B data of Dawangzhuang waypoint was used as the base statistical traffic for the simulation test, and the root mean square error of the prediction results were 1.3236 and 1.2898, and the average relative errors were 0.1201 and 0.2703, which verified the correctness and applicability of the method.

The compact terahertz free electron laser light source requires high quality of electron beam. For the long time the beam tuning tasks were done by operators manually, however it is challenging for operators to obtain ideal beam quality. Automatic beam tuning methods using optimization algorithms are required. Therefore a software framework, the sequential decision-making framework, has been developed so as to utilize existing tuning methods and newly emerged intelligent control techniques in the accelerator control community. The framework can serve as a platform for the development, test and demonstration of different control algorithms. It can also support normal tasks like automatic emittance measurement and remnant magnetism removal of quadrupoles. Since the completion of the framework, the efficiency of the laboratory operations has been greatly improved.

Most embedded vision systems are used to capture an image in low-light condition which results in an image with low visibility and quality. However, high-performance image enhancement algorithms take up lots of chip resources and are time consuming in embedded vision application scenarios with high real-time requirements. In this paper, a multi-core heterogeneous embedded vision system is designed based on ZYNQ, and it uses the optimized screen blending algorithm to complete the enhancement of low-light images. First, the inverse color coefficient is optimized to enhance the texture details of the image. Secondly, adaptive gamma correction is performed on the inverted image to maintain the trueness of the enhanced image color. Finally, through reasonable hardware and software co-design, the inverse color coefficient is calculated by hardware logic circuit to speed up the algorithm. Experimental results show that the low-light images collected and processed by this system have a certain improvement in the image quality than the original algorithm. The processing speed is nearly 5 times faster than without hardware acceleration, which meets the real-time requirements of embedded vision systems.

With the widespread application of the Internet of Things technology in the industrial field, the research on 3D temperature field reconstruction technology has also received widespread attention. A fast reconstruction algorithm of 3D temperature field based on Kriging interpolation is proposed. Through CFD software simulation, the three-dimensional space simulation temperature field and the temperature data of the sensor node are obtained. According to the spatial position and temperature information about the sensor node, the Kriging interpolation method is used to realize the rapid reconstruction of the three-dimensional temperature field. In order to improve the overall accuracy of the reconstructed temperature field, an improved genetic algorithm is used to optimize the parameters of the Kriging interpolation method. The results show that the three-dimensional temperature field can be quickly reconstructed based on the Kriging interpolation method, and the optimized reconstructed temperature field can accurately reflect the temperature change trend.

This paper introduces a novel fault location method suitable for multi-voltage level microgrids using a unified set of equations. The proposed method depends on constructing the bus impedance matrix between the fault point and the nearest bus using the measurements of MicroPMUs located at both buses of the faulted line. To introduce a complete protection algorithm, the proposed fault location method is combined with a previously introduced fault detection method. The proposed complete protection algorithm can accurately detect and locate any type of faults in both islanded and grid-connected modes considering economical implementation. Finally, the proposed algorithm is tested using MATLAB and ETAP software for symmetrical and asymmetrical faults in multi-level microgrids and found effective in any configuration.

In recent years, streamed 360° videos have gained popularity within Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) applications. However, they are of much higher resolutions than 2D videos, causing greater bandwidth consumption when streamed. This increased bandwidth utilization puts tremendous strain on the network capacity of the cloud providers streaming these videos. In this paper, we introduce L3BOU, a novel, three-tier distributed software framework that reduces cloud-edge bandwidth in the backhaul network and lowers average end-to-end latency for 360° video streaming applications. The L3BOU framework achieves low bandwidth and low latency by leveraging edge-based, optimized upscaling techniques. L3BOU accomplishes this by utilizing down-scaled MPEG-DASH-encoded 360° video data, known as Ultra Low Resolution (ULR) data, that the L3BOU edge applies distributed super-resolution (SR) techniques on, providing a high quality video to the client. L3BOU is able to reduce the cloud-edge backhaul bandwidth by up to a factor of 24, and the optimized super-resolution multi-processing of ULR data provides a 10-fold latency decrease in super resolution upscaling at the edge.

software rejuvenation has been proposed as a prevention mechanism against unanticipated and undetectable attacks on cyber-physical systems. Without needing to implement any detection algorithm, the system is periodically refreshed with a secure and trusted copy of the control software to eliminate any malicious modifications to the run-time code and data that may have corrupted the controller. Previous work has considered using software rejuvenation while being able to disconnect from the network when recovering from dangerous situations. In contrast, we consider using software rejuvenation in cases where a network connection is needed in order for proper recovery to occur. We present an algorithm that satisfies the conditions necessary to ensure safe recovery in such situations where the system must become vulnerable in order to be safe. A procedure for calculating optimal parameters to achieve these conditions is presented, and our approach is illustrated via simulation.
