Object detection and tracking are one of the key features of a robust autonomous mobile robot, allowing it to navigate places and avoid obstacles. The Mobile robotics market and proliferation has been growing and the Covid-19 era has added another boost to this area where more and more interest is being drawn to the autonomous capabilities of these machines. In this paper we propose a hardware based model to detect and track objects based on color. We propose robust object detection and tracking with minimum environmental constraints to improve accuracy using our algorithm, and capable of behaving well in unknown environmental conditions. At the end of the analysis, the robot was able to detect the object and track it well. We also show frequency analysis, compression and error analysis of the underlying technique. Experimental outcomes verify improved accuracy of our algorithm.

The usage of Design Structure Matrices is widely applied to represent, cluster, and partition complex systems information for different purposes, one of them being systems design. Nevertheless, open-source software for their automatic creation is rare. This leads to manual workshop sessions for subject matter experts to fill in the design structure matrices, a practice that is very tedious and time consuming. The importance and application of Model Based System Engineering has increased over the years. Nowadays, there are several open-source MBSE software such as StarUML, Papyrus, TTool, Modelio, Capella. This paper describes a novel approach to generate design structure matrices and extract information automatically from xml and xmi formats used widely in open-source Model Based System Engineering tools. This work presents the algorithm and a tool to extract data from the output model files, in order to automatically create a Design Structure Matrix (DSM) of modeled systems.

The creation of energy efficient algorithms and codes became very important in time of regularization of carbon footprint. In this paper, we will describe our realization of Go-dunov scheme which is good for autovectorization by compilers. Autovectorization of our code on the 1st and 2nd generations of Intel Xeon scalable processors gave twice performance growth. The energy efficiency growth is not so high because of the frequency degradation impact of AVX512 instructions. We also give an estimate value of carbon footprint for our variant of the code. Some numerical tests for code verification are also provided.

Realizing flow security in a concurrent environment is extremely challenging, primarily due to non-deterministic nature of execution. The difficulty is further exacerbated from a security angle if sequential threads disclose control locations through publicly observable statements like print, sleep, delay, etc. Such observations lead to internal and external timing attacks. Inspired by previous works that use classical Hoare style proof systems for establishing correctness of distributed (real-time) programs, in this paper, we describe a method for finding information leaks in concurrent programs through the introduction of leaky assertions at observable program points. Specifying leaky assertions akin to classic assertions, we demonstrate how information leaks can be detected in a concurrent context. To our knowledge, this is the first such work that enables integration of different notions of non-interference used in functional and security context. While the approach is sound and relatively complete in the classic sense, it enables the use of algorithmic techniques that enable programmers to come up with leaky assertions that enable checking for information leaks in sensitive applications.

Elevators, as other cyber-physical systems, need to deal with uncertainty during their operation due to several factors such as passengers and hardware. Such uncertainties could affect the quality of service promised by elevators and in the worst case lead to safety hazards. Thus, it is important that elevators are extensively tested by considering uncertainty during their development to ensure their safety in operation. To this end, we present an uncertainty testing methodology supported with a tool to test industrial dispatching systems at the software-in-the-Loop (SiL) test level. In particular, we focus on uncertainties in passenger data and employ a Genetic Algorithm (GA) with specifically designed genetic operators to significantly reduce the quality of service of elevators, thus aiming to find uncertain situations that are difficult to extract by users. An initial experiment with an industrial dispatcher revealed that the GA significantly decreased the quality of service as compared to not considering uncertainties. The results can be used to further improve the implementation of dispatching algorithms to handle various uncertainties.

The development of the concept of the Internet of Things (loT) and the use of existing mobile networks for organizing machine-to-machine communication networks require new approaches to planning a network resource. The most popular solution in this area is NB-IoT (Narrow Band Internet of Things), a mobile communication standard for telemetry devices with low communication volumes. This paper investigates a case of network slicing and processor sharing (PS) service policy using in mobile network with batched arrival of requests from smart objects. The mathematical model of the corresponding model is corresponding system is built. Markov process that describes model function is constructed. The numerical results are presented that illustrate the solution of three different problems of planning network resource using the proposed algorithms.

As an essential element of the global information infrastructure, the Global positioning system (GPS) is of great importance for positioning of an unmanned aerial vehicles. However, civilian GPS has no protection against malicious acts such as spoofing. The cyber security of civilian GPS faces serious challenges due to the vulnerability of GPS signal. To solve the problem, a framework including three layers of regional localization for multi-UAVs is presented by using an adaptive airship network where the least number of satellites needed is four. In this frame, the airship is considered as a signal source for a positioning service to provide the precise position efficiently and effectively for UAV. The certain scalability can be obtained when all the UAVs are under the airships' coverage. One airship is regarded as an agent in the multi-agent network, and the cooperative location problem is solved by the adaptive diffusion algorithm. The simulations show the effectiveness of the framework.

Virtual Reality is regaining attention due to recent advancements in hardware technology. Immersive images / videos are becoming widely adopted to carry omnidirectional visual information. However, due to the requirements for higher spatial and temporal resolution of real video data, immersive videos require significantly larger bandwidth consumption. To reduce stresses on bandwidth, foveated video compression is regaining popularity, whereby the space-variant spatial resolution of the retina is exploited. Towards advancing the progress of foveated video compression, we propose a full reference (FR) foveated image quality assessment algorithm, which we call foveated entropic differencing (FED), which employs the natural scene statistics of bandpass responses by applying differences of local entropies weighted by a foveation-based error sensitivity function. We evaluate the proposed algorithm by measuring the correlations of the predictions that FED makes against human judgements on the newly created 2D and 3D LIVE-FBT-FCVR databases for Virtual Reality (VR). The performance of the proposed algorithm yields state-of-the-art as compared with other existing full reference algorithms. software for FED has been made available at: http://***/research/Quality/***

Linear Induction Motors (LIMs) are used in somewhere that require linear motion. There are many control methods for speed control of LIMs. One of them is Direct Thrust Force Control (DTFC). DTFC method has disadvantages like ripple of output speed. In this paper, to solve this problem, have been used a controller that called Super Twisting Sliding Mode (STSM). We have combined STSM controller with DTFC structure for speed control of LIM. The STSM controller has been used in all DTFC components such as speed, flux and torque. Also we have used a two-level three-phase converter that was switched by space vector modulation (SVM). The stability of the proposed system has been investigated by Lyapunov's theory. The performance of the proposed control structure has been simulated by MATLAB/Simulink software. Also we have used Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm for design and optimization LIM. According to the results ripple of speed in proposed method is less than DTFC. Also proposed method had faster response speed than DTFC.

NLP is the most researched field. Speech-totext conversions, fake-news detection, and text summarization are the hot topics of NLP. ChatBot User Interface(UI) using NLP, allows machines to understand customers better. The aim was to use different NLP and machine learning techniques and to add ChatBot UI to guide customers or clients through the CRM software and help them whenever they get stuck. Different approaches, libraries, and algorithms like 'RASA', python's 'Chatterbot', 'Cosine similarity', and Google's embedder were used to train the model and then later compared to see which gave the best results. After that, during the deployment other 2 approaches were tried, one was fetching questions from the database and then training the model, the other was to maintain a local text document and train the model from that. The advantages and disadvantages of each approach, plus challenges and better methods for deployment is also discussed.
