In view of the current situation that the traditional inspection methods are not good for the inspection of weld defects of deep buried underground pipelines, a defect detection method using X-ray backscatter imaging technology is proposed. The purpose of this work is to demonstrate the feasibility of X-ray backscatter imaging in pipeline and to explore automatic defect identification algorithm. The Monte Carlo software (Geant4) has been used to establish the model of X-ray backscatter imaging system in the pipeline. The system is composed of X-ray tube, rotatable collimators, rotatable detectors and other parts. The flying point scanning mode is adopted. In this paper, there is a linear relationship between the spot diameter and image contrast. The system can be effectively used to locate and identify the internal defects of pipelines, and has the feasibility of industrial application. Furthermore, an intelligent defect recognition algorithm based on supervised learning method is designed. Transfer learning has been used to alleviate the conflict problem between the high accuracy and small data set. The weld defect detection images in GDX-ray database were used to train the machine learning model. The recognition accuracy of the algorithm was 95.88% when transfer learning method had been used.

In this article, we describe the issues of building and analyzing the security of corporate distributed ledgers based on directed acyclic graphs for the Internet of Things devices. The relevance of this topic comes from the increased interest in distributed ledger technology in a wide variety of areas. For the Internet of Things, this technology can become a key solution in ensuring the information security of processed data. The article proposes a hardware-software model of a system based on directed acyclic graphs for the Internet of Things, and also experimentally verifies its security.

Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) was proposed in 1995, and its appearance has attracted the attention and research of many scholars. This algorithm is different from traditional optimization algorithms. It is actually a new type of group optimization algorithm. Its main advantages are simple structure, few parameters, fast particle convergence and strong optimization ability. With the rise of cloud computing technology, software development, delivery, development and usage models have undergone tremendous changes. software developers no longer use traditional design and development models, and software development models based on service composition technology have become a new trend. Developers do not need to be interested in implementing many basic network application technologies when delivering software, but should only focus on implementing business logic. Delivering the business logic of the application to the cloud-based network support platform with the idea of platform as a service can make it an expanding network application for large-scale users. We call this platform PaaS cloud computing platform. Scalability and low rental costs allow software providers to easily implement applications, thereby greatly reducing workload and maintenance. Users no longer need to purchase or develop applications, but can customize and use the software as a service model. Use software delivered to the platform to meet individual needs. Although the research on collaborative 5G PaaS platform management and control platform technology is constantly evolving, Cui still has many shortcomings. In order to solve the problem of the lack of a unified standard platform in the cloud computing environment, this paper uses the particle weight method and the discrete particle algorithm to study the collaborative 5G PaaS collaborative management control platform. Two methods are proposed for the accurate and fast analysis of the efficiency of arbitrarily modulated metasurface (MTS) antennas. The surface current on the MTS is expanded into entire-domain basis functions. The first method uses a Fourier-Bessel basis and relies on the Poynting theorem, while the second approach is based on the calculation of the surface-wave residue with a Gaussian-Ring expansion for the current. Both methods allow one to compute the efficiency of MTS antennas in a few minutes, which represents a drastic reduction of the computation time in comparison with any commercial software. The algorithms are then used to analyze the frequency dependence of the efficiency of MTS antennas in two different cases: 1) anisotropic MTS with uniform periodicity, 2) anisotropic MTS with non-uniform periodicity. The latter case corresponds to an active region MTS and provides a larger bandwidth. Validation with commercial software and measurements data is provided.

This paper presents the laboratory performance evaluation of voltage regulation under a new distributed energy resource management system (DERMS) algorithm via an advanced hardware-in-tbe-loop (HIL) platform. The HIL platform provides realistic testing in a laboratory environment, including the accurate modeling of a full-scale real-world distribution system from a utility partner, the DERMS software controller, and power hardware photovoltaic (PV) inverters. The new DERMS algorithm is developed based on online multiobjective optimization (OMOO) algorithms that perform fast dispatch of distributed solar PV simulated in a real-time digital simulator and real physical hardware devices. Experimental tests confirm the correct functioning of the HIL platform for evaluating controller algorithms and satisfactory voltage regulation performance of the developed OMOO algorithms.

Bufferbloat and congestion in the Internet call for the application of AQM wherever possible: on backbone routers, on data center switches, and on home gateways. While it is easy to deploy on software switches, implementing and deploying RFC-standardized AQM algorithms on programmable, pipeline-based ASICs is challenging as architectural constraints of these ASICs were unknown at the time of standardization. In this work, we call for reigniting the work on AQM algorithms by illustrating the difficulties when implementing the PIE AQM in three fashions on an Intel Tofino switching ASIC. All our implementations come with trade-offs, which, in turn, have a significant impact on their performance. The conceptual challenges further suggest that it is currently not possible to implement a fully RFC-compliant PIE version on Tofino. We find that it is non-trivial to transfer RFC recommendations to the resource-constrained Tofino, operating at hundreds of gigabit per second. We thus argue that there is a need for AQM specifications that acknowledge the omnipresence of congestion and include architectural constraints of programmable ASICs into their design.

Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is an ad hoc network having inherent flexibility, autoconfiguration, selforganization, self-administration, self-creation, short of infrastructure, little cost, easier deployment, and used for prospective applications. The aforementioned qualities put together in MANETs, as the essence of imminent pervasive computing environments. It is an emergent research field considering routing. As the network topology, bandwidth, and energy efficiency change consistently, designing an effective routing protocol becomes a challenging task in the case of MANETs. This paper provides the basic concepts of wireless networks and an overview of bio-inspired ant colony based routing algorithms for MANETs. Ant colony optimization is based on the probabilistic way to find the shortest path between an ant colony and its food source. A comparison between ant-based routing algorithms such as AntNet (Adaptive routing in ad hoc network), ARA (Ant colony based routing algorithm), and AntHocNet (Ant agents for hybrid multipath routing) is also presented. AntNet uses probabilistic forwarding of data packets using forward and backward ants. In ARA, multiple paths are set by ants in an on-demand manner between source and destination, and AntHocNet is a hybrid combination of both reactive and proactive routing components. In MANETs, nature-inspired routing algorithms are used for proper decision-making, robustness, self-healing, control, coordination, and adaptation purposes.

This paper analyzes the effective accuracy for close-range operations for the first and the second generation of Microsoft HoloLens in combination with Vuforia Image Targets in a black-box approach. The implementation of Augmented Reality (AR) on optical see-through (OST), head-mounted devices (HMDs) has been proven viable for a variety of tasks, such as assembly, maintenance, or educational purposes. For most of these applications, minor localization errors are tolerated since no accurate alignment between the artificial and the real parts is required. For other potential applications, these accuracy errors represent a major obstacle. The "realistically achievable" accuracy remains largely unknown for close-range usages (e.g. within "arms-reach" of a user) for both generations of Microsoft HoloLens. Thus, the authors developed a method to benchmark and compare the applicability of these devices for tasks that demand a higher accuracy like composite manufacturing or medical surgery assistance. Furthermore, the method can be used for a broad variety of devices, establishing a platform for bench-marking and comparing these and future devices. This paper analyzes the performance of test users, which were asked to pinpoint the perceived location of holographic cones. The image recognition software package "Vuforia" was used to determine the spatial transform of the predefined ImageTarget. By comparing the user-markings with the algorithmic locations, a mean deviation of 2.59 ±1.79 [mm] (HL 1) and 1.11 ±0.98 [mm] (HL 2) has been found, which means that the mean accuracy improved by 57.1% and precision by 45.4%. The highest mean accuracy of a single test user has been measured with 0.47 ±1.683 [mm] (HL 1) and 0.085 ± 0.567 [mm] (HL 2).

Biometric x-rays are a means of testing the physical properties of an individual to check their identity. There are, anatomical attributes, such as eyes or traits of behavior, fingerprints, and a special path to authentication. In this article, the use of a deep neural network with fuzzy clustering is proposed as a new approach for forensic radiography-based human authentication. A complex, convolutional neural architecture is used to derive features of hand x-rays and for the detection of fluid clusters. Our experiment shows that hand x-rays provide biometric data which can be used to recognize the victims. The research reveals that the model proposed here is considerably stronger when compared to previously developed authentication systems with hand X-rays.

Aiming at the problems of low success rate and slow learning speed of DDPG algorithm in dynamic environment path planning, an improved DDPG algorithm is designed. In this paper, radam algorithm is used to replace the neural network optimization algorithm of ddpg algorithm, and priority experience replay is added to improve the success rate and convergence speed. Then introduces transfer learning enhancement training based on the improved algorithm. In order to solve the problem of limited storage space and insufficient local computing ability caused by the increased complexity of the improved algorithm in the path planning of traditional mobile robots in complex dynamic environment, a cloud robot path planning system is proposed. Among them, robots are responsible for transmitting environment and motion information to the local cloud, and the cloud is responsible for complex computing services. Through ROS robot operating system and Gazebo simulation software, the simulation environment is established, and the contrast experiment between improved DDPG algorithm and DDPG algorithm is carried out. The simulation experiment of dynamic environment path planning is carried out in the cloud robot path planning system. The results show that the improved DDPG algorithm improves the convergence speed by 18% and the success rate by 35% compared with the original DDPG algorithm. Compared with the original system, the cloud robot path planning system effectively saves 37.2% CPU utilization and 23.5% memory utilization. For cloud robot with continuous action space, it has a good effect in dynamic environment path planning.
