This article describes the process of synchronizing the generation of random sequences by a quantum random number generator (QRNG) that can be used as secret keys for known cryptographic transformations. The subject of the research is a method for synchronizing the generation of random QRNG sequences based on L1 (C/A) signals of the global positioning system (GPS) using control correcting information received from control correcting stations.

Vehicular network plays a major role in understanding the detail study of vehicle communications. Multiple vehicles in local communication range need to exchange the safety and infotainment information via common roadside infrastructure in Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs). Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) communication model help to improve the efficiency of intelligent transport system by providing safety warnings and reducing vehicle collisions. Machine learning is an artificial intelligence component that gives the machine an ability to automatically learn without being expressly trained to improve from experience. Since VANET is imprecise and uncertain in nature, Machine Learning (ML) and software Agents (SAs) combining approaches resolve the issues of V2I communication challenges in VANETs. This paper proposes ML based V2I Communication in VANETs using software agent approach. The proposed agent-based model is made up of both static and mobile agents. Proposed model executes decision tree algorithm and Q-Learning algorithm to identify the event as non critical or critical and the destination vehicle respectively to improve bandwidth utilization, packet delivery ratio and end-to-end delay.

The proliferation of the Technology Enhanced Learning Environments (TELE) and the growth of educative data are increasingly motivating researchers to study the potential of new approaches in Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to the e-learning area. In this paper, we propose a software architecture for educational decision support system. We have experimented it with the free Students' Academic Performance Dataset in the goal of analyzing learning experiences. In our system we have implemented the k-means clustering algorithm to group students based on nine behavioral features. The system was able to identify two clusters of learners according to their learning experience (positive of negative). The main objective of this paper is to show how we can build this kind of systems allowing educative organizations to use their own data extracted from TELE to enable tutors and e-Iearning managers to make informed decisions.

High-performance information systems are essential for libraries to carry out their work efficiently. Recently, a digital library environment has been created that allows electronic resources such as e-books, e-journal, and the Web to be linked to SNS, smartphones and tablet PCs. The environment available anytime and anywhere has increased the use of digital libraries, and the amount and scope of information search has also increased or expanded dramatically. These changes call for improved accuracy in the search for internal or external information in the library information system. This study designs library information retrieval system from the perspective of QA system, and builds a model based on text data. Through this, finally, we present a study comparing performance with various algorithms based on perplexity.

The execution of a software system that runs on top of an Operating System (OS) is usually controlled by the scheduler. Therefore, to accurately verify the system, the scheduling policy needs to be taken into account in the verification. In model checking techniques, the scheduling policy affects the search algorithm to explore the state space to check the behaviors of the system. Existing works try to specify/implement the scheduler(s) along with the set of processes in the specification language(s) used by the model checking tool(s). In reality, many kinds of scheduling policies are used by the OS(s), e.g. round-robin, priority, and first-in-first-out. There are also many variations of these policies, which are usually different from the 'textbook’ ones. That means dealing with the variations of the scheduling policies in model checking is necessary and important. However, because the implementation of the scheduler always starts from scratch, it is error-prone and time-consuming. Therefore, the existing works are difficult to deal with the different scheduling policies. To address this problem, we propose a method that introduces a domain-specific language (DSL) to facilitate the variation of the policies. All necessary information to perform the scheduling tasks is generated automatically from the description of the scheduler. We also introduce a search algorithm using this information to explore the states of the system to verify the behaviors of the system. In this paper, we introduce SSpinJa, a tool in which we implemented this approach. Our tool supports an environment for editing the scheduling policy (in the DSL) and the model checker for verifying the system. The results of our experiments show that a) we can handle different scheduling policies easily, b) we can accurately verify the behaviors of the systems, and c) our approach is also practical.

5G service providers consider Network Function Virtualization (NFV) as an enabler to foster new opportunities to scale their business while reducing operational expenses. NFV builds on cloud native technologies, automation, and reusability. Central to the success of NFV is the ability to design service templates once and to on-demand deploy those template services into specific service contexts, e.g., network slices. Therefore, on-demand homing and assigning of service designs with service level requirements over distributed cloud resources and capabilities is one of the main challenges for the transition to NFV. Towards this end, it is important to embed service graphs over the given infrastructure such that the total cost is minimized while satisfying service requirements. To get around the lack of scalability of optimization-based approaches, a viable approach is to rely on efficient Virtual Network Function (VNF) embedding heuristics. Despite their low complexity, VNF embedding heuristics suffer from the so-called causality issue, which means that embedding decisions must be made before all neighboring dependencies were embedded. This, as a result, may lead to an inferior embedding outcome. In this paper, we propose our novel h-horizon sequential greedy look-ahead embedding algorithm, which allows embedding and re-embedding of VNFs based on embedding decisions of other VNFs to overcome the causality issue. Our simulation results indicate that our proposed algorithm outperforms the existing greedy benchmark in terms of total embedding cost.

One of the main challenges of reactive synthesis, an automated procedure to obtain a correct-by-construction reactive system, is to deal with unrealizable specifications. One means to deal with unrealizability, in the context of GR(1), an expressive assume-guarantee fragment of LTL that enables efficient synthesis, is the computation of an unrealizable core, which can be viewed as a fault-localization approach. Existing solutions, however, are computationally costly, are limited to computing a single core, and do not correctly support specifications with constructs beyond pure GR(1) elements. In this work we address these limitations. First, we present QuickCore, a novel algorithm that accelerates unrealizable core computations by relying on the monotonicity of unrealizability, on an incremental computation, and on additional properties of GR(1) specifications. Second, we present Punch, a novel algorithm to efficiently compute all unrealizable cores of a specification. Finally, we present means to correctly handle specifications that include higher-level constructs beyond pure GR(1) elements. We implemented our ideas on top of Spectra, an open-source language and synthesis environment. Our evaluation over benchmarks from the literature shows that QuickCore is in most cases faster than previous algorithms, and that its relative advantage grows with scale. Moreover, we found that most specifications include more than one core, and that Punch finds all the cores significantly faster than a competing naive algorithm.

Memory leaks are of serious concern in software programs written in languages that do not have a dedicated garbage collector. Memory leaks are the result of prolonged unnecessary usage of the system memory resources. This increases the workload, paging, and lowers the response rate leading to performance degradation of the system or software. Such leaks are difficult to detect due to a software’s development testing span and different working *** research paper proposes an algorithm to detect memory leaks based on the growth analysis of the memory blocks. The proposed method captures the allocation made in memory blocks via malloc, calloc, and realloc and stores the captured results onto the files. The files are then analyzed using the leak threshold determined by the developer or tester. Unlike other approaches such as ASAN/LSAN which require multiple snapshots to analyze the leaks, the proposed method works without a snapshot for the summary analysis algorithm and only requires one snapshot, collected at the end of the execution. This approach does not need to be integrated within the application to analyze the software and detect memory leaks. Our method provides more accurate results by visualizing the captured and analyzed data for the developers, making it more convenient to detect the root cause of the leakage.

Python libraries are widely used for machine learning and scientific computing tasks today. APIs in Python libraries are deprecated due to feature enhancements and bug fixes in the same way as in other languages. These deprecated APIs are discouraged from being used in further software development. Manually detecting and replacing deprecated APIs is a tedious and time-consuming task due to the large number of API calls used in the projects. Moreover, the lack of proper documentation for these deprecated APIs makes the task challenging. To address this challenge, we propose an algorithm and a tool APIScanner that automatically detects deprecated APIs in Python libraries. This algorithm parses the source code of the libraries using abstract syntax tree (ASTs) and identifies the deprecated APIs via decorator, hard-coded warning or comments. APIScanner is a Visual Studio Code Extension that highlights and warns the developer on the use of deprecated API elements while writing the source code. The tool can help developers to avoid using deprecated API elements without the execution of code. We tested our algorithm and tool on six popular Python libraries, which detected 838 of 871 deprecated API elements. Demo of APIScanner: https://***/1hy_ugf-iek. A Neuro-fuzzy ANFIS model is presented that allows predicting the generation of electrical power in a photovoltaic system considering the solar radiation and environmental temperature of the geographical area. This model enables fuzzy modeling to learn from the data set and, as a result, compute the most appropriate membership function parameters. It also makes use of neural networks' abilities to classify data and find patterns. The algorithm is developed using MATLAB® software and is trained with the acquired data weather station located in Hermosillo, Sonora City, and the electrical power output of the system at the site. The algorithm is evaluated using rigorous evaluation factors which shows how much the predicted value differs from the actual value, resulting in the following predicted values: RSME: 295.2686, NRMSE: 0.09496, RMSPE: 9.4306, MAE: 218.6996, and MAPE: 6.985, respectively.
