Clustering is an unsupervised classification method that focused on grouping data into clusters. The objects in each cluster are very similar but different from the objects in the other clusters. As clustering methods deal with the massive amount of information, many intelligent software agents have been widely utilized clustering techniques to filter, retrieve, and categorize documents that exist on the World Wide Web. Web mining is generally classified under data mining. In data mining, one of the significant clustering centroid-based partitioning methods is the K-Means algorithm. One of the K-Means algorithm's challenges is its extreme sensitivity to initial cluster centers' choice, which may yield get stuck in the local optimum if the initial centers are selected randomly. A variant of the K-Means method is the K-Means++ algorithm, which improves the algorithm's performance by smart choices of initialization of the cluster centroids. Evolutionary techniques, widely utilized for optimizing clustering methods by providing their prerequisite parameters. The Genetic Algorithm is stochastic and population-based, that applied in optimization problem-solving. This paper proposed a Genetic-based K-Means (GBKM) clustering algorithm where the clusters' centroids are encoded by chromosomes rather than random initial cluster centroids. The best cluster centers gave by the Genetic algorithm that maximizes the fitness function, as initial points of the K-Means algorithm. The results show this model helps increase the K-Means algorithm's performance by appropriate choice of initialization of the cluster centroids, compared to four other clustering algorithms.

Nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC) has grown mature and algorithmic techniques exist, e.g., based on sequential quadratic programming (SQP) methods, to handle relatively complex constrained control systems. In addition, model predictive control for hybrid dynamical systems, including both continuous and discrete decision variables, can be implemented efficiently based on state of the art mixed-integer quadratic programming (MIQP) algorithms. This paper proposes a novel mixed-integer SQP (MISQP) optimization algorithm as a heuristic search technique to find feasible, but possibly suboptimal, solutions for real-time implementations of mixed-integer NMPC (MINMPC). Two variants of the MISQP algorithm are described and motivated. Based on a preliminary software implementation, the real-time MISQP performance is illustrated for closed-loop MINMPC simulations on a nontrivial vehicle control case study, featuring worst-case computation times below 30 milliseconds.

This paper presents an innovative identity module (IM) dedicated to TLS 1.3, which fully protects server credentials. The IM software is implemented within a commercial javacard 3.04, and tested with open TLS 1.3 stacks. In order to enable smart integration within IoT devices, we designed a cheap board (Identity Module Component, IMC) comprising a microcontroller unit (MCU) and a secure element (i.e. javacard), providing a simple UART interface. The software integrity is checked by an original remote attestation algorithm. In order to detect hardware clones, we use SRAM dynamic PUF for MCU fingerprinting.

Server Resource limitations are generally an obstacle affecting the quality of service (QoS) due to increased traffic levels. Therefore, Load Balancing is needed to manage service requests to the optimal application server. software-Defined Network (SDN) has advantages in controlling the network which can be exploited with various load balancing strategies that are used to distribute traffic loads to improve overall system performance. The Performance for load balancing can be improved by selecting the server with minimum load using the Fuzzy Logic Algorithm. Traditional load balancing lacked the usage of device state data. In this study, an SDN-based Server Load Balancing method using fuzzy logic methods has been performed. Fuzzy Algorithm successfully delivers HTTP requests to lowest load server based on Distribution Server Index. In the testing, the server load must be directed at the lowest server weight so that each server should not be overloaded. In testing with a request load ranging from 100 - 500, the Fuzzy algorithm imposes more traffic distribution on the 3rd Server with the lowest server load. In the CPU usage test, the fuzzy logic algorithm has the lowest average value namely 39%. In the RAM usage test, the fuzzy logic algorithm has the lowest average value namely 54%. In the throughput test, the fuzzy logic algorithm has the highest average value namely 2KBps. The Fairness Index of Fuzzy Logic is 0.45 while Round Robin's fairness index is 0.99. Round Robin Algorithm can outperform other algorithms in terms of Fairness Index, as the fairest algorithm.

New video compression technology is being developed to meet the increasing demands for more content at higher resolutions. To this end, the Versatile Video Coding (VVC) standard was recently finalised by the Joint Video Experts Team (JVET). Even though VVC can considerably reduce the bitrate requirements of compressed videos, the complexity of encoders has also drastically increased. In order to allow practical implementations to meet complexity requirements, this paper proposes a new block partitioning scheme for VVC inter-coding which can significantly reduce the complexity of the encoding. The paper is based on a novel feature selection scheme to speed up the partitioning decisions in VTM. The features are fed into classifiers where both a new random forest tree selection process and an early termination criteria are applied to better specialise the predictions to block characteristics, and allowing uniform distribution of complexity savings throughout the sequence. The proposed method was shown to consistently reduce complexity of VVC inter-coding with marginal increases in bitrate.

There is a need to accurately simulate materials with complex electromagnetic properties when modelling Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), as many objects encountered with GPR contain water, e.g. soils, curing concrete, and water-filled pipes. One of widely-used open-source software that simulates electromagnetic wave propagation is gprMax. It uses Yee’s algorithm to solve Maxwell’s equations with the Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method. A significant drawback of the FDTD method is the limited ability to model materials with dispersive properties, currently narrowed to specific set of relaxation mechanisms, namely multi-Debye, Drude and Lorentz media. Consequently, modelling any arbitrary complex material should be done by approximating it as a combination of these functions. This paper describes work carried out as part of the Google Summer of Code (GSoC) programme 2021 to develop a new module within gprMax that can be used to simulate complex dispersive materials using multi-Debye expansions in an automatic manner. The module is capable of modelling Havriliak-Negami, Cole-Cole, Cole-Davidson, Jonscher, Complex-Refractive Index Models, and indeed any arbitrary dispersive material with real and imaginary permittivity specified by the user.

The algorithm of intelligent flow routing control in optical transport networks with the use of graph neural networks is presented in the work. The use of graph neural networks to solve telecommunications problems is due to the fact that the input parameters for training are the characteristics of the network itself. That is, the matrix of adjacencies, characteristics of nodes and edges at a certain point in time are the input parameters for training graph neural networks. Based on these data, you can predict the state in which the node is. This approach allows a more flexible approach to the process of determining the state of the node because it does not require rewriting the software but only administratively changing the parameters of the neural network. The proposed algorithm allowed to reduce the delay during peak hours of the network by 18%.

Internet of Things (IoT) is an uprising technology. It involves in smart city, smart grid, smart home implementation where it connects all the object with each other to transfer the data and take decision according to the environment. The Internet of Things handle with large amount of data. According to a survey per day in the world 2.5 quintillion bytes of data is produced. Data is a wealth in today's world where upcoming wars between the nations will be cyberwar. Enormous amount of data is producing in the world by IoT and other application. Data Hacking is major menace in IoT application. The encryption technique is one of the cryptographic practices which is used to eliminate the data hacking. The proposed work focusses on implementation of Full parallelism Triple Advanced Encryption Standard to encrypt the data from the end device in IoT application to provide data security. The encrypted data is difficult to decrypted without knowing the appropriate key in proper order. It makes the cryptanalysis difficult in terms provides more security to the IoT data. The full parallelism technique supports parallel processing of data in the encryption process reduce the encryption and decryption time. The Triple AES with Full parallelism renders high security than existing AES technique which is used to provide high security to the data transmitted from the IoT gateway to the servers and the data stored in the database as an encrypted format to eliminate data hacking in smart city implementations. The software implementation of the proposed algorithm is carried out in XILINX 18.1 software and the results are discussed.

Distance relays should not sense power swing as a fault to further create an unwanted circuit breaker tripping. Wavelet transform is a powerful signal processing tool used by many researchers for detection of faults during power swing condition and unblock power swing blocking function in case of fault during power swing. Due to the natural characteristic of WT, its performance is mostly depending on the selection of proper mother wavelet function as it ensures the optimum performance in processing any signal. This paper proposes different wavelet types namely: Battle Lemarie Spline (Piecewise Linear Spline), Beylkin, Daubechies and Symlet for detection of faults during power swing by extracting voltage and current signals. Suitability of each type is commented at the end for cases under study. The proposed algorithm is implemented on a typical parallel transmission line network using MATLAB software.
