The world of Big Data is changing dramatically right before our eyes-from the amount of data being produced to the way in which it is structured and used. The trend of "big data growth" presents enormous challenges, but it also presents incredible scientific and business opportunities. Together with the data explosion, we are also witnessing a dramatic increase in data processing capabilities, thanks to new powerful parallel computer architectures and more sophisticated algorithms. In this paper we describe the algorithmic design and the optimization techniques that led to the unprecedented processing rate of 15.3 trillion edges per second on 64 thousand Blue Gene/Q nodes, that allowed the in-memory exploration of a petabyte-scale graph in just a few seconds. This paper provides insight into our parallelization and optimization techniques. We believe that these techniques can be successfully applied to a broader class of graph algorithms.

Aiming at the problem of information perception in cloud manufacturing environment, this paper proposed a information perception model in cloud manufacturing environment for manufacturing task execution. This model takes manufacturing task execution as the core, and gets cloud manufacturing environment information from the environment of the cloud manufacturing operation platform, physical locations of manufacturing tasks, manufacturing tasks and other cloud services closely related to manufacturing tasks. The information includes the equipment, logistics, human resources, perception capabilities, and maintenance capabilities. Different environment information is perceived by sensors, software agents, GPS, man-machine interfaces and system interaction interfaces. The perceived information would be transformed into events and then merged together. The model realized algorithms of the event transformation and the key event identification. The example analysis shows that the model can acquire changes of cloud manufacturing environment information in time and ensure the execution of manufacturing tasks smoothly.

Chord is the most essential and efficient peer-to-peer routing algorithm that, however, cannot reflect the hot resources problem in practical networks. To solve the problem, an optimized Chord algorithm has been put forward in this paper to accelerate locating the hot resources. The optimized Chord algorithm records the access time of resources and categories the resources into three classes. As for the class of hot resources, the optimized Chord would broadcast its location information and shorten its query hops. As a result, the average query hops would be shorter than the original Chord algorithm.

We proposed a distributed energy saving clustering algorithm BPEC. Cluster-heads are elected by two probabilities. The primary probability is based on the ratio between average residual energy of neighbor nodes and itself residual energy. The subsidiary probability is the node's degree. By using BPEC algorithm, the entire network broadcasting complexity is O (n), the entire network computing complexity is O (1). The cluster set generated by BPEC is proved to be a Maximum Independent Set. The experimental results show that when nodes is enough, the cluster set size is close to the theoretical values.

Because of exiting inefficient and incomplete functional problems in traditional straightness error evaluation, Error measure and evaluation system based on virtual instrument was designed. Two endpoint link line, least-squares algorithm and minimum zone algorithm methods for evaluation straightness error were programmed by means of LabVIEW8.5, the corresponding data processing algorithms and program charts were given. Through experiments the validity of this software was proved, This software can realize visual evaluation.

Scaling up the number of qubits and accelerating quantum algorithms are important steps towards reaching quantum advantage. This poses heavy demands, as pulses need to be distributed to an increasing number of control channels and variational algorithms require rapid interleaving of quantum and classical computation. Assessing the bottlenecks in the control stack is therefore key to prepare it for reaching quantum advantage. However, existing benchmark suites suffer from indirect access to control hardware, limiting accuracy. In this work, we present Q-Profile, a tool to profile quantum control stacks using a direct connection from the host CPU to the control stack, providing fine accuracy in measuring runtime and allowing to identify performance bottlenecks. We demonstrate our tool by benchmarking the Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm on a Qblox Cluster for a virtual 4 to 14-qubit transmon system and identify the major execution bottlenecks. We estimate a 1.40x total runtime speedup by using an active qubit reset, and demonstrate a further 1.37x speedup by parallel control module initialization. The presented method of profiling is included in the open-source Quantify quantum control software, making it applicable to other control-stack providers and to other benchmarks, while still providing detailed information. By extension, this tool will enable identifying and eliminating bottlenecks for future quantum acceleration.

One approach to supporting program comprehension involves binding concepts to source code. Previously proposed approaches to concept binding have enforced non-overlapping boundaries. However, real-world programs may contain overlapping concepts. This paper presents techniques to allow boundary overlap in the binding of concepts to source code. In order to allow boundaries to overlap, the concept binding problem is reformulated as a search problem. It is shown that the search space of overlapping concept bindings is exponentially large, indicating the suitability of sampling-based search algorithms. Hill climbing and genetic algorithms are introduced for sampling the space. The paper reports on experiments that apply these algorithms to 21 COBOL II programs taken from the commercial financial services sector. The results show that the genetic algorithm produces significantly better solutions than both the hill climber and random search
